Bit chilly but the view was worth it!
Challenging but very rewarding with spectacular scenery. The descent at the start and the ascent at the end are both very steep and will take some effort, especially in hot weather. The boulder section can be hard to navigate as there are multiple possible routes. The whole loop took us about six hours to complete.
I love this walk and do it often. Steep in parts but the view at the end is so worth it!
Was super hard. Almost completely up hill. Beautiful reward at the end though. Definitely not an easy one
Lovely rainforest trail with nice up and down. Unfortunately most rolled in today but well worth it
Nice easy trail, very pretty along the creek.
Moderate, manageable. P.S. Water is knee-deep.
Great out and back walk of moderate grade in sub-tropical rainforest following Hoddles route along the escarpment and to a great lookout on Noorinan Mountain with views of the surrounding area looking back to saddleback Mountain where the walk began
This is a hard but rewarding hike! We travelled anti-clockwise and found the decent easy, the path is obviously worn, although there are little markers and you may walk for several km without seeing the next one. Pack a PLB as there is no reception and download the map. A trowel wouldn't go astray as it is a long day out. You may need to do some river crossing so I would also recommend taking a small hand towel and a spare pair of socks. It is so much fun scrambling over the boulders, lots a of teamwork needed here and sometimes you may have to double back but there is no right through. Take as many breaks as needed and stay safe!
Steep at times and can be quite rocky for the first few hundred metres up the incline. Once you get past that, it's not too bad. Mostly forresty trail with some makeshift steps/about halfway up. There is a few spots where you have to climb up some rocks to get ahead further but nothing too crazy. Just before the top, you walk through washed out trees so you have to watch your footing with the exposed roots and ditches. Overall, you get a gorgeous view that's worth the struggle, I'm not very fit and I managed it within half an hour.
satisfyingly quick walk with fulfilling destination - beautiful view of seven mile beach from the top.
Nice track, pretty easy, nice view at the end
Will need good hiking boots that can handle water and mud.
Check before you leave that it will be low tide while you're there. the rock pool can only be accessed at low tide. Once the tide starts to come in leave as there have been many fatalities as waves wash peoe off the rocks. The walk down is easy but going back is steep. I fell on the rockledge and was lucky not to fall over the cliff into the water. Both feet were injured and took 2 hours and a lot of pain endurance to climb out. It is Quite secluded so I would recommendnot attemptingthis alone. There were mostly overseas tourists but it wasn't too busy. Had a great swim and enjoyed the rock pools.
A lot of work out when coming back, used 25mins from Beach to Car park. Really love it
Red track was very challenging but worth it. I preferred doing it clockwise because the climb back up was steep but gradually while anti-clockwise it will be alot steeper and straight up. Do not attempt red track if you are not confident or experience enough to tackle the boulder part of this track. They are huge and it's a scramble to get through. A good grip shoes is a must as condtion are rocky from start to finish. Water is very important at least 3ltr. Make sure you register before you start any tracks as there is no reception in the area unless you have PLB with you in case of an emergency.
