Dogs only allowed on 100-yard trail. The signage for the other trails are marked no dogs.

What a poor decision by the organization managing this resource.

The people who follow the rules will leave. The people who don't follow the rules will take their dogs anyway, and leave their dog crap everywhere.

This area seems like a "checkbox" item that someone used to fulfill a political requirement. It's not designed for the real world.

Awesome views of Downtown LA & the SGV!

We take our young kids here all the time. It’s a fun, easy hike with so many cool birds to identify. Beautiful, peaceful, and nice HB locals. No bikes allowed.

Me and my boyfriend run here ever morning and we love it, it’s so peaceful and beautiful! Love love love!!!!

Ran it today around 4 pm. Temp. was about 85 but with no humidity to speak of it was pleasant enough. Also, with the sun being rather low there was shade from time to time. FYI, if you do it clockwise, the first 2.5 miles or so is a steady climb.

Great hike for those looking to get into shape or simply get their feet wet in the world of hiking. The trail hits you immediately with an uphill climb but one you finish that the rest of the hills on the trail become child's play. There aren't many shade spots so a visor and sun protection is recommended for those with sensitive skin going in the day. Trail opens at 9 and parking gets filled really fast. I usually park uphill a little past the trail entrance and walk down there's no permit required.

Love this trail.

hermoso lugar para tener un buen tiempo con la familia y amigos mientras caminas

We never got to try the trail because of the parking. When we got to the "parking lot," there were "No Stopping Anytime" signs. We then drove around and found that all of the street parking was only available to the residents only with a permit. We came across a resident telling a group of hikers that if they left their car in front of his house, they'd get a ticket. We asked him where we could legally park to use the trail and he pointed to a small area where there were three (3) cars parked and they'd used up ALL the legal parking spots. It seems the only way to use this trail is to walk there from an elementary school parking lot a few blocks away but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Plus, we were trying to avoid walking on the concrete around our own neighborhood: that's why we went there! Needless to say, we felt unwelcomed to use the trail by, not only the lack of parking, but also the resident who informed us that the "parking lot" was closed because of "too many break-ins." I don't think hikers are welcome by the area residents.

I went to run walk jog however trails did not have clear directions! it took me from streets to senior houses. literally i depended on my phone for maps until it ranned out of juice. another way was, I went hike wherever the fck I was with a biker i met. we went together (bike and walk) helping each other out as good team sport, until we found the park were we parked our cars. its not a good trail if you didn't bring your powerbanks and a downloaded map (google and hiketrail). In sum, I enjoyed my hike today which was an 8 to 11milish even though I ran out of battery and got lost in trail which was literally next to houses.

A lot of it is on the streets, but it’s serene and has a great view up top.

nice little hike, you can get a decent workout on the uphill portions and just saunter on the down hills and enjoy the outdoors, you can also do this as an out and back by hiking straight through to schabarum park, about 4 miles round-trip more or less where there's lots of shade and tables for a picnic.I park on Fullerton road so I don't have to drive up a dirt road, walk up where black walnut trail starts and cut over on nogales trail ,if you're lucky the sprinklers will be on, feels good but on a hot dusty day, then head up and over on powder canyon

I have walk this trial several times , but last times I have noticed less and less water and more house construction. So much destruction around the area. machines extracting water too. Very sad .

Great place for a morning hike.

Beautiful trail. It’s super peaceful and not a heavily trafficked trail, at least when I run it.

had to park about 3/4 mile down the street, which wasn't too bad, as most of the other reviews have said. Decent trail, fire road size. When we got to the top, there were a few different ways we could go, so options are good but we didn't have time to explore further. More like an out and back for us this time but we would like to go back and try another trail. our hike was 4.75miles, 800 ft elevation (did the short hill at the top twice) in about 1:30 minutes

Nice trails in city with lots of trees for shade. However flat well maintained trails are easy not moderate

Great trail to start with, will loop but easy to miss the right turn after the water tower. Biggest downfall is the parking, there is none and city ticket you which is Unfortunate since all we are doing is enjoying our very own city.

es super para caminar 4 millas ahoy yeee

We saw three ospreys very beautiful! We went early around 7:00am

Easy, scenic trail. Saw rabbits, countless birds, lizards and a baby rattle snake! Down side, you get hints of car noise from the PCH and not secluded.

Great place I do enjoy everything about the loop

nice trail. good views. poor parking.

Great spot in the city to get away from the city and get your workout in... do it a couple times; once counter-clockwise and once clockwise...

Enjoyed the birding photo opportunity.

It was an alright hike. Physically, it had its challenging moments, but nothing not unmanageable.

Because of its location and the high foot traffic, it felt less like an adventure and more like an orchestrated attraction...a la Disneyland.

Though I have to say, there were some very nice vistas

park in the dirt lot off Fullerton Rd...its free. I love how challenging this loop is but be cautious. Someone's car got broken into in the lot and on the trail around a bend was a huge rattlesnake! I saw 3 deer on my last hike here. Use the alltrails app. I got lost the first 2 times.
