Best
Fun walk on ancient footpaths and carved trails in the tuff. Highly recommend.
stunning scenery with ancient sites and remnants that are well preserved. i did it in late winter when there wasn’t any snow though i imagine it’d be good mostly all year round
Good moderate hike if you want to go out for a couple of hours. Nice view of Santa Fe county.
So picturesque!!! Amazing scenery.
Going up dunes sucks, take water, great hike.
An absolute must
Absolutely amazing
They aren’t joking about the sun! Gorgeous climb up; a little slick on the loose gravel near the top when coming down
Well-marked trail, a little rocky towards the top. Beautiful views the entire way up. Forgot to turn my recording off - trail doesn’t go all the way to downtown Santa Fe
Pretty easy 5 mile hike although the temperature was in the 60’s. I’m sure it would suck if it was hot.
Nice quiet trail. I passed one group on a Sunday morning. Due to thaw and refreeze, there are some spots where treads or snowshoes would have been helpful, but it's not impassable without.
Great hike! Amazing views and fun to hike and learn about some ancient history. Despite some snowy, icy, and muddy conditions, this was awesome.
Simply stunning! Made a lot of stops for pics! Stoked!
Ice and snow packed, but melting fast. Did Chamisa up and alternate route down. Glad we had snow shoes but most didn’t.
Nice scenery with the snow.
Loved the sand and being surrounded by mountains in the distance! Beautiful at sunset and of course temperature drops fast so be aware of that!
This is really the only ‘hike’ in the park. Pretty neat because it’s so unique as far as the setting. Not long necessarily, but takes additional effort since your feet sink into the sand with every step. About 1.5 hours total hike time.
