I missed it every day.

Easy trek. Really good for kids that you want to get them into the idea of hiking. Not steep at all. Just wish dogs were allowed at the destination (rocky Beach with cave). Otherwise definitely fun!

parking is no good. nice medium trail

The hike itself is short, but you can continue on the beach. Getting to the beach requires a sturdy foot. The trail down, at least the one I used, was steep. Their are rocks at the very top of the beach to walk over. The beach was great. All the sand when I went was wet, making it easy (and fun) to walk on. It’s all very beautiful. There is no shade.

This path has amazing views, great for taking pictures of the city day or night.
It isn't very long and it's not a very difficult trail but it does have some steep hill parts that add to the challenge.

It's a little too easy but I brought someone who is not an experienced hiker & this was perfect. You can get in at least 5 miles & there is hardly anyone on this trail.

Nice 2.1. Great views. Paths are wide.

Great hike. Took about 2 hrs round trip. It’s actually more than 4.5 mi. A little over 5 mi. according to our calculations. Some views, some shade, a nice stream, a few bridges. Nice variety.

A quick trip from Belmont Shore, Long Beach for me for some mid week miles. Soft surfaces and a great run along the ridgeline below the houses up top provide for an excellent view of the Ocean. Sunsets are solid here as well.

Though a bit small for runners looking for serious distance (I tend to do double or triple loops of the entire place) it is soft on your legs and boats beautiful wildlife when you want to get off of the roads.

Not overly crowded during the week, but for the weekend, get their early. The parking lot is small.

We had hiked Crystal Cove a few times and enjoyed it. I did a quick google search and came across this one and I had never heard of it. We parked on San Joaquin Rd., our total hike was 4.9 miles. We were pleasantly surprised with the shade that the nearby hills and the trees provided...about half the hike was shaded. It was great to hear the water running...we were curious as to the origin of the water. The sound of the birds added to the experience. A downfall would be the narrow paths that you have to share with mountain bikers. It was awesome to see the view of the Pacific toward the end of our hike. Overall, it was a pleasant hidden gem.

Loved this trail. All trail mapping is fantastic. So many times I could got lost.

It’s a great walking trail. If you’re looking for hiking trails, you may be disappointed, but if you’re thinking of a great walking trail for all age, families and dogs, this is the perfect place! We walked our dog along the trail and really enjoyed the scenery. The wildflowers, the ocean, and the birds are the best company alongside the trail. Moreover, the natural center (the Point Vicente Interpretive Center) has the whale watching event right next to the trail. We spotted about three whales when we were here! That’s such a surprise for the day since we didn’t expect to see whales at all! I see this trail doesn’t have lots of reviews on AllTrails, and I’d like to highlight it since we really had a very delightful and pleasant experience there.

Pretty busy. If you start on the north side the incline is very intense and long: my kids were not pleased (4/6) and had to be carried. Trail shoots up then drops down to a flat valley with lots of blooming poison oak right along the trail. State park should remove or control it (it’s everywhere).

Nice family hike.

The most difficult part is crossing through Poles trail, which is a steep incline of just under half a mile. I would definitely recommend doing the trail counterclockwise, which would mean taking the incline uphill, but will give you a beautiful ocean view the rest of the way. Well worth the climb.

The hike was somewhat short but we continued on to a separate trail to make it longer. We took our two year old and he really enjoyed the beach portion of the trail. Downside to this spot is that there is very little shade, but the view is beautiful.
