This a great trail to hike. Not took him traffic. Views are amazing. Well marked so you know where to go.

Really enjoyed this hike as an intro to snow hiking in the white mountain. Micro spikes were absolutely necessary. Be prepared with extra layers and freezing temps. Amazing views and fun trail. Looking forward to this hike in warmer temps.

Great hike, nice trail, snow is soft packed. Wore spikes, but not even necessary. decent views at the top and a good little work out.

Champney in the winter was great. Enjoyed seeing ice climbers at the falls and crossing the river over ice bridges. My dog had a blast!

Easy hike but a lovely walk in the woods and great views of the ledges !!! Any time outside is a good time !

Great trail!! Definitely wear your spikes for this one, and head up middle mtn, down peaked for stunning views. Would for sure call this a moderate trail, as it gets fairly steep in some spots. Loved the views from the top! Took 2.5 hours round trip, including about 15 mins up top (it was cold!) and my garmin tracked 4.8 miles :)

Great quick morning or afternoon hike.

super snow hike

Great hike!! Trails are hard packed with ice, traction is a must!. My hillsounds made easy work of the ledges. Some mixed conditions (ice and rock) going up Welch. I did run into a group that turned around because they couldn’t get purchase safely with their traction (yax and katahoulas).
The saddle in between the 2 is packed nicely. Beautiful views!! Will be hiking this again.

I have always LOVED this hike! Great views.

I have been here a few times and love it. Easy hike with a fabulous, unique waterfall. If you stick your head under the skinny falls you'll have a memorable experience, (ask my husband!).

Pretty easy hike, no difficult terrain. Good for families with kids.
The official name of this trail is "The Boulder Loop Interpretive Trail" there are 15 numbered markers along the way. US Forest Service has a guide for this trail available here:
https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd573843.pdf

we love it here. easy and full of good memories.

Nice easy trail. Well marked and good views on a partially open peak.

This trail is a great hike. We did do the Trail counterclockwise and it was a lovely hike. I want to go back and hike it clockwise to see which way is “nicer”.
There were some smaller trees down throughout the trail - easily maneuvered
We wore spikes as the path was packed by hiker traffic.
Note: When you cross the covered bridge from the parking lot take a right to the trailhead.

Beautiful day at Peaked Mountain today! I took Middle Mnt trail up to Peaked and then Peaked Mnt trail down. Well..that was my plan but soon agree getting on the trail to decent I started to follow some snowshoes tracks thinking that was the trail....nope!! Before I knew it I was in waist deep snow following bushwhacked tracks. I throw my snowshoes on which really made no difference in that deep of snow. But eventually it met back up to the main trail at the connector. So if your coming down keep to the right for the nicely groomed trail unless you want a challenge!
The loop was beautifully packed down and used my microspikes just for some added traction. The view was so amazing and was a clear day!! There was no technical aspects of this loop just a nice grade up!

Did this with a summer camp. Really fun, not challenging. There is a cliff at one point but you don't have to go near the edge. Steep rock face to climb but I was fine in hiking boots. Took five hours with slow frequently stopping camp group. Would probably take four hours with a frequently stopping but well paced group. (done somepoint in July)

Excellent hike featuring expansive valley views west to Cathedral Ledge and north to Mt. Washington. My quick fix when I need some nature time.

I’ve done this hike a few times. Gone with kids ages 8 and up during May in New England. May flies prohibit a great hike during this month as they’re everywhere.

The trail however is an incredible family adventure with challenges up a somewhat flat and steep incline. Slow and steady and the kids find the challenges once traversed as monumental achievements.

Beautiful scenery and skyline views and surprisingly little traffic.

Makes for a full day adventure where you can stop numerous times for water, potty, feeding breaks.

I suggest plenty of water and healthy snacks in a medium travel pack. The more people the merrier this will be in your group.

great workout or beginner family hike with nice view.

This hike never gets old

Awesome!

I love the Champney brook trail. Beautiful waterfalls about 1.5 miles into the hike. From there the grade goes up a little bit as you hike towards the first outlook. The outlook to the summit offer some rock scrambling and great views. The summit is breathtaking. 360* views. Easily one of the best hikes in N.H. More rewarding than many of the 4,000 footers in the area. A must do hike.

Just a nice short walk through the woods around Echo Lake. Nothing special but still enjoyable especially on an awesome crisp New England fall day.

Wow! What an amazing hike! Absolutely beautiful country. Was interesting with the ice and snow, but was so worth it!

One of my favorite hikes! The views are breathtaking from the summit.

Boulder Loop is a great intro to the White Mtns. The solidly moderate 900' ascent and gentle descent are a good workout, rewarded by spectacular views from the ledges up top. Our knees hurt the next day - but we're getting old. ;-) Hiking shoes and trekking poles advised.

I love the challenge. going up was a challenge but going down was rough. the hardest part was the rock climbing. be prepared to climb up that mountain with all your limbs, otherwise you'll have to turn back and not able to make the loop. be sure to have good shoes or hiking boots on during the autumn season because the leaves may be a bit slippery.

Views for days! This took us about 6 hours because we kept stopping to appreciate where we were - a new favorite!

We had a wonderful hike with our pup. Not too easy. Not too hard. Good investment in time. Outstanding views from the top. Could have stayed up on the ledges for hours.
