HikingFeeGreat!

Beautiful hike. Wind at the top was crazy and visibility was poor. No views at all. Trail was well packed down and micro spikes were fine. A lot of people out enjoying this trail today. There were a few steep sections but nothing crazy. Steady climb with several flatter sections. Great day!!!

Hiking

So windy at the top that we couldn’t see the trail, so unsure if we even made it to the summit. However this was a beautiful hike up until that point! Plenty of parking but you do have to pay a $5 fee. Mostly gradual, very few steep parts. Trees were covered and snow and beautiful! Lots of friendly hikers. Be safe when the weather is bad and use your best judgement! Took us 3 hours with no break at the top.

Great trail overall. Difficult ascent with the ice and snow. Microspikes are a must.

Great hike in any season! Beautiful views. Spikes are a must right now. Coming down the Cross Trail is nice - quiet, wooded, snowy, and not as steep. Be sure to make a parking reservation online before going! It guarantees a spot.

Just WOW! Most amazing views ever. I’ve hiked this in the fall but the winter was magical.

Walking

0 winds and 40*F. Quite a lucky forecast. Brought the toddler and had a blast (especially running downhill)

Great beginner winter hike. It was very cold at the top, I’m glad I brought an extra layer.

HikingGreat!Snow

Got out there early on 1/21/21 at 7am, not a ton of people but by the time we came down we passed quite a few. Just used micro spikes and gaiters. Trail very narrow. Minimal view because of clouds but it was overall a great hike. Our dog had a blast. Definitely will be back in the spring to hike over to Eisenhower.

Hiking

Heavily trafficked. Super windy and balmy at summit, but amazing view. Great beginner/intermediate hike. Plan to tack Eisenhower onto it next time.

Great day. Packed powder trail. Micro spikes and crampons needed. Don’t step off the trail! Beautiful snow on the trees. Unfortunately bitter cold at peak with now views today!

BackpackingGreat!IcyScrambleSnow

Went a little over halfway up on Saturday 2/20, camped out overnight 200ft off the trail and summitted on Sunday 2/21. We had great weather, very windy overnight, freezing at the top. Tough hike with all the gear we had, microspikes needed for sure, had to slide on our bums a bit of the way down as that was the only safe way. A little confused about the mileage though as we recorded 10.8 total miles out and back...

Amazing winter 4K - hard pack all the way to the top with no ice. Gaiters needed for stepping off the path, micro spikes minimum - we were happy with our hiking crampons.

super fun hike. there are some places going up the white dot trail that are pretty tough in terms of elevation and how steep the climb is. but overall, it’s pretty easy. slot of people say Monadnock is tough. it took me under 2 hours up and down no problem.

This was beautiful! I’ve done it a few times in the summer/fall but never in the winter and it was well worth the trip. Definitely need micro spikes., and it was very chilly at the top. I did this 3/13 and started at 9:30, back by noon.

Great hike! Snow was well packed down. Trail was busy. We continued on the trail to Mount Eisenhower that summit was very cold windy steep and slippery! No views today we were in the clouds but still an enjoyable hike. Microspikes required!
