Beautiful falls and lush green forest. A short and easy two miles, but definitely worth doing! More people than I would like to have around. Hike early to get a parking spot and less peope traffic.

Very easy but nice trail to hike. I enjoyed this one very much. It has a little bit of everything here. I will go back in the winter to check out the higher water levels.

One of the best viewpoints around. Smoky time of year, but when we reached summit of Silver Star, we had clear views above the smoke layer of St. Helens, Rainier, Adams, Hood, and a bit of Jefferson. Lots of trail offshoots - use the map. We extended our hike to include scramble up Sturgeon Rock (awesome) then a loop back via Tarbell Trail. Warning on Tarbell - new logging roads have been cut through trail...again, use map w/Phone/GPS and you’ll find trail. Also, after parking at Grouse Vista, trailhead starts *across* parking lot from pit toilet (not the other way, which is continuation of Tarbell).

Have done this and other trails in the park. Shady all the way. Parts can be muddy and slippery in the rainy season. Usually not very crowded considering it’s in a city.

Lovely place. The view was so worth it, would highly recommend hiking here!

Fun hike. Great for kids and puppies

Easy hikes available for every age group

Beautiful hike that’s not too crowded. We hiked it on a partly cloudy day and the views were still super pretty. If you don’t have an 4 wheel/AWD car I wouldn’t recommend it. I didn’t feel comfortable driving my car over the bridge at the bottom so we parked and hiked to the trailhead for extra 4 miles each way. Worth it though!

Short sweet hike with rewarding views at the top!

Great spot, not crowded, a little too smokey for any views this time, but Ill be going back on a clear day!

More of a nature walk. All the same it was gorgeous. And we had a grand ol time. Went with my three kids: 6,4,1

beautiful...Lots of trails.

Grew up hiking these trails as a kid in elementary school on field trips. A good easy hike for all ages! The suspension bridge is always fun too!

Trail in decent shape, dusty in mid-August. Trail is unrelentingly uphill, but beautiful at the top. Nice views of the river and Dog Mountain. The sacred nature of the space at the top was a nice surprise to me and made it more memorable than it might have otherwise been.

beautiful waterfalls!

still killer views even though we couldn't see the mountains this time through the smoke. one of my top favorites. this trail is hard on dog paws.

Falls themselves are beautiful and the water feels very crisp this time of year.

the hike itself isn't bad at all and there is a decent amount of traffic throughout the hike.

Such a nice hike, really love this one.

Beautiful hike. We did it on Tuesday after 5 pm. We had the trail to ourselves. There were some people by the lower waterfall.

Trail Is Still Closed At This Time. The Historic Columbia River Highway is Closed Until Further Notice. This Includes Trails Between Bridal Veil Falls and Multnomah, and Trails Between Multnomah and Ainsworth State Park. The Road Is Only Open To State Troopers, Game and WildLife Patrolmen, and Residents That Live On That Road. Anyone Caught Trying To Hike Said Trails Are Fined. This Is All Due To The Bad Fire They Had Last Year And Several Told Me They Aren't Sure When It Should Be Open. One Trooper Told Me It's Looking Like It Will Be June 2019. :( That Means Oneonta George, Oneonta Falls, Horsetail Falls, Ponytail Falls, Larch Mountain Overlook, Fairy Falls, & Wahkeena Falls Are All Closed Until Further Notice. If You Are Looking For Alternatives, You Can Look Into Multnomah Falls & Trails, Latourell Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Vista House. You Can Also Take A Drive To Ramona Falls.

Great trails. Not too much traffic and we went on a Saturday. Parking was a bit limited.
We did the entire loop which was about 2 miles. The upper trail was missing a bit of signage, which lead to a few incorrect turns for us. If not for that I would have given this five stars. The views of the lower and upper falls were incredible!

Was fun and short mostly up hill but great day!

Great view at the top! Fairly steep on the last half and if you ignore most of the trails off the main trail it’s fairly easy to stay on track to the top. Turning right at the pile of rocks at the fork keeps you on the main trail. Lots of water in the summer, sturdy hiking boots and wouldn’t recommend taking dogs in the summer.

We hiked Wind mountain while vacationing in Stevenson, Wa. We started out near sunset and were rewarded with breathtaking views of the gorge. We chose to do wind mountain as a prep for our big hike the next day (dog mountain) and were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. I would do it again for the amazing views. Short and sweet with a glorious view makes this hike a must do!

As some of the others noted any car can probably make it, but AWD or larger vehicle would be better if you have the option. Trail has some long rocky/gravel stretches but one of the BEST views from the top on a clear day.

Gravel road with occasional potholes for the last 5 miles. The trail is fairly steep with tons of rocks but relatively easy if you go at a moderate pace. Amazing view at the top with all five mountains visible.

Bring bug spray if you don’t like flies diving into you.

Our maps took us to a weird place but it’s near Vistas House so do use that as your guide. There are two trails actually! One leads to the waterfall (lower falls) that allows you to see it closer than you would have just standing on the bridge. We didn’t know until we got home :( The other one (upper falls) was super gorgeous. We even climbed the rocks and walked behind it! Very calming and nice scenery. There were some steep inclines but so worth it! :)

Great hike!!

When we got to about mile 3 someone moved the sign and sent us in the wrong direction. We were way off track on a very hot day. Needs better signs
