Easy sweet trail. August no mosquitoes but most wildflowers done. Brisk, cool constant wind.

7AM! We had a blast entering in from the Lake Mead side of the highway and hit this site first! Nobody there yet and early enough not to be too hot. You can park right below this rock formation and take a quick hike up. The trail is marked with some fading white chalk and takes you directly up and behind for an awesome view! FYI: Signs say not to walk on the road.

Lots of Petroglyphs to see! Short trail but the sand makes it just challenging enough for someone on their first hike like me!

quick and easy walk. not for the faint of heart. perfect for kids and a quick stop.

not much hiking. You can almost drive up to the cabins. We hiked farther up and it was pretty. Some scrambling was necessary to go farther back.

short trail easy for kids and pets. Was easy to get lost. It's right off the road.

easy short hike for kids and pets to see lots of amazing petroglyphs. The sand is hot for pets, be careful. We saw 4 big horn sheep!

Quick trip up the stairs to see some great petroglyphs. Good for adults and children.

Unfortunately it was too hot to finish the trail, but we did go about 0.3 miles in. The views are outstanding, and the scenary consistently is changing with each turn. We would love to go again on our next visit to NV.

The cave tour is a must. One of the coolest caves I've been through!

As you come down the hill on US50 from Carson City toward South Lake Tahoe, stop at Logan Shoals Vista for a short paved walk to some nice views. We explored around the rocks and took the steep trail down to the water [slippery with the sand on the rocks]. We saw paddleboarders out on the water. Nice place to take in an early morning view of the lake.

Book tickets in advance at recreation.gov or else you'll likely not get tickets in the summer time.

The 90 minute tour good. The whole park was beautiful. It wasn't all open due to snow. But what was open was a mix of river, granite, christmas trees and lite green trees. Gorgeous place. Bring your own food. There are VERY few places to eat in Baker, Nv

A really wonderful loop trail for a family with three young kids ( under 3 years of age)! Trail was dry, with all the meadows green and lush with flowing rivulets everywhere.

Easy hike with a great reward at the end. Beautiful natural formation. Worth the easy hike from the road.

Easy loop hike with some decent views. Nice place if you are in Vegas and want to get outdoors.

Path definitely could use some better marking as it was difficult to find our way to the end. Bring some water as you are out in the heat with minimal to no shade

5 minutes walk down a paved area

WOW!! Me fascinó hermoso lugar.

Un paseo muy hermoso me encantó.

Easy hike with lots of diversity. Slot canyon was nice and cool and a place to get relief from the sun.

We are novice hikers. The first bit is basically scrambling down rocks. You need good footwear. But once you get down, it is great. The scenery is just gorgeous. It is worth the extra climbing in the beginning. The hike back up, if you do the loop, is much more gradual. If you start at the other end of the loop. you have to go up those rocks and that does not look like fun unless you are comfortable with that. The terrain is sandy for the first bit before rocks and after the steep climb down. Then it is more stable. Excellent hike with gorgeous scenery.

Great little trail for the kids. Saw a handful of good sized lizards. Just long enough to "get a hike in", but not TOO long for little ones. We've got 5, the littlest two being 2 & 3, and they did great.

Still snowy and slushy at points. Snow may be coming tonight. Probably not for everyone until later in the season.

Amazing Experience

A long trail is not necesarily the most scenic! This short trail (1.1 mile round trip) is chocked full of glowing red rocks, seasonal wild flowers, and rock formations (arches and windows). We finished this trail in about 1 hour at a moderate pace. Sometimes if you are new to these kinds of trails, it's not always easy to spot the arches and window that hide or get camouflaged in the multicolored rock mounds. Since we have been on several other trails throughout Utah, we have gotten used to spotting some. While this video shows one arch in the peaks of the rocky cliffs, there may have been more we missed due to our fast pace and still relatively freshmen approach to trail walking and spotting natural features.
