I took the south trail and its a great and free hicking zone! Moderate is a valid rating for this hike. The view is fanrastic! Can be done in less than 2 hours total easily :)

A rewarding steady-steepness hike to a wonderful view. I went 4 stars instead of 5 as the summit is shared with the gondola station for the ski area, so it lacks a bit of the pure pristine wilderness feel that I prefer. The wind at the summit seems to be ever-present, so bring layers and be attentive to the hourly weather forecast, as conditions at the top can be quite different from those at the trailhead or in the forest that covers most of the trail.

Très belle randonnée! Des points de vue magnifiques et spectaculaires. À faire en famille!

Took the North trail up and back...Views at the outlooks were amazing. Steep in spots but overall it was mild-moderate in difficulty. Took about 3 hours

Great hike with my wife and brother in law. Great view from top. On a clear day you can see Montreal. Near the top you have the option of crossing the ski trail and continuing a short rock scramble or just walk up the ski trail while enjoying the beautiful view.

Easy hike with beautiful views!

Very nice trail! The end of the trail is much longer than you would expect. You keep getting the sense that you are almost done, but then it just keeps going on. It connects with the old trail near the end. The end of the trail is not difficult, but it is a bit risky with steep rocks to maneuver over, so people who are afraid of heights or ledges won't make it all the way. There are still views they can enjoy without going all the way to Eagle Rock. Gorgeous views all around! One more piece of advice - when traveling there, be sure to go through Barton, not Westmore, as that side of Wheeler Mountain Road is not well kept.

Great hike in an amazing forest. The last 30 minutes to Eagle Rock is quite technical. The views are phenomenal!!

Nice short hike. Don't miss the western lookout past the summit. If you're hiking with a dog, you'll want to keep him/her on a leash, since the trail is never far from dizzyingly high cliffs.

View is great. Did this hike with our 3 kids ages 5, 7, and 9. they had a great time.

The rock face at the top is breathtaking, photos will never fully capture the majestic feel. The views are spectacular.

Beautiful trail but quite steep and rocky. We chose to walk back down by the ski trails to the ski parking lot. From there we had to walk back to the beginning of the trail on the main road uphill. I'd personally rate this trail as "hard/difficult". The views from the top and the walk down the ski slopes made it an unforgettable hike. Plan 5 hrs return.

súper belle expérience.

Not much variation in the trails since it’s a ski mountain, but the view is gorgeous!

Great trail. A bit muddy with slippery rocks on the top. Only one viewpoint at the end. NOTE: I lost a broche on the trail, piece of wood with a silver leaf. Let me know if you find it! marie.dupuis@gmail.com.

Out and back. Views from the rocky outcrops over Lake Willoughby are spectacular. Go past the peak into the North Trail to catch the best rocks. Follow the hike with a dip in Lake Willoughby and you’ll have a fine day!

Perfect distance for a day at the station !

One of my favorite hikes in the NEK, drive past the ski area and park on the left side of the road on Route 242. The trail is on the right side and has a small shelter and sign in box . I saw less than 10 people round trip. Perfect trail for dogs, but bring water as there is no water source until you get to the summit. Rocky towards the top. No bugs when I went.

Belle randonnée et surtout vue spectaculaire au sommet

Great hike. Mileage is way off, though. It’s actually closer to 11 miles out and back!

A little bit of everything on the North Trail. Except rungs/ladders. Nice Views. Took about 3 1/2 hours up and down.

Great hike. We went on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking along rt 242 exactly where the map indicates, there is a small unmarked trailhead on the north side of the road, little shelter and sign in box there. It took about 1 hour for us to hike up at a good workout clip, decent trail, lots of rocks and roots but trail running shoes would be just fine. You had to clamor up some small rocky areas but nothing difficult and no shale. At the top, there is a ski lift area with food. Beautiful short hike and a good cardio workout!

Nice hike mostly through the forest, with beautiful views at the top. The hike was difficult going up, but the views were totally worth it. We thankfully started early in the morning because the foot traffic really started to pick up (surprisingly lots of people out on a Friday morning!). For us beginner/intermediate hikers, it took us around 4 hours, including our many breaks on the way up and picnic at the top. Definitely recommend.

Moderate+ difficulty. Trail is moderately easy for the first 3/4 of a mile then gets a bit steeper for the next 1/2 mile before becoming slightly difficult for 1/4 mile until reaching the ski trail.
Cloudy and a bit cool today so we missed the great views at top. Top tram lodge had food, water fountain, and bathrooms. Wifi as well.
Had not planned to have lunch at top but the menu looked good, wife had a tuna sushi bowl and I had a pulled porked sandwich, both very good. Light traffic and met very few people on trail and a few good dogs.
Good footwear strongly encouraged. wet in spots, top to bottom.

Awesome scenic views from the summit!

pretty nice trail great views ar the top. signage is slightly cryptic but we found our way. to access trail from north parking lot u must use part of a multi use trail that is fairly overgrown but easy to follow.

Definitely challenging, but worth it! Took the South trail up and down, but made sure to go down to the west outlooks on the north trail side after the summit. Very steep for quite a ways towards the summit, but I’m a beginner hiker and made it.

Très beau point de vue et sentier bien délimité.
