Running trail... excellent place to relax and right on the road so easy access

A decent walk around Horn Pond. This trail only goes around the pond, providing some nice water views. There are other nearby trails which provide access to Horn Pond Mountain, which has interesting scenery and views of the Boston skyline.

I hiked the Fox Run Trail and Breakhill Trail. There are many different trails. I suggest getting a map in the visitor's center first; it really gives a great overview of the park. Make sure your legs are ready to climb!

Such a beautiful trail. Love the many options

It's not that big, but it's one of my favorite places to ride. There are a few awesome windy, flowy singletrack trails of decent length, some great climbs and descents, a fun pump track, and you can go after dark up until 8pm I believe. It's also not a bad place for a short hike and snowshoeing, which I was doing there last week. Oh, did I say it was small? Well, it's pretty much connected (very short ride through a residential neighborhood to get there) to another small town forest that has some really fun short and windy singletracks...from there, it's a short 1/4 mile ride to Billerica State Forest which has some more really fun, windy and flowy singletrack loops of decent length...and it's short and easy access from Russell Mill to Great Brook Farm State Park which I've read also has great singletrack MTB trails (I've only hiked there). Russell Mill might not be huge, but combined with the other trail networks I've mentioned, you could easily get an incredibly fun and challenging 15-20 mile, and probably longer, ride that didn't cover too much trail more than once. For all of those reasons, Russell Mill is easily 5 stars in my book.

Great winter walk close to the city. Helps scratch the hiking itch.

Please note that this is open to cross country skiing ONLY. No hikers.

Loved this hike! Lots of well marked trails with scenic views. The peak view was pretty awesome, especially for such a low altitude, and included the Boston Skyline. There was even a decorated Christmas tree at the top. Sweet surprise.

well-marked trail

We loved this, start at the location they recommend. Interesting river with an old mill, beaver lodges within feet of a river, two really pretty lakes, heap an ice cream at the barn in summer. Lots of trails to explore. A real gem

Great ponds, so pretty and interesting terrain. Doggie heaven. Blue trail is my fav, adding yellow trail for a hike to
The peak.
Take a map, it's easy to get confused with all the trails. Fairly well traveled so no worries

Easy to get to, beautiful trail, need the GPS to navigate.

Incredibly beautiful, great views,must go

Flat and easy. Also easy to accidentally follow the wrong trail. It’s pretty. Nothing amazing but nothing unpleasant.

Just and FYI... since we Didn’t actually get to walk the trail. We were here with our dogs. The trail head/ parking begins at the Walden Pond boat launch. Dogs are not permitted on the portion of Trail from the boat launch parking along the south edge of Walden Pond.

Great property. Went from Caryl Park all the way down to what I call Perkins Cove (first mill pond, site of colonial era wood mill). This is an awesome pond that was full to grade in a driving rain this day (still soothed my soul!). Such a nice spot, one of my favorites in all of Dover (have a seat, relax)! A beautiful erratic on the main trail near Caryl, check it out. Enjoy!

The peak is really nice.

Great ride!

A lot of people,
Not that there’s anything wrong with that...,,,

Nice trail for fall. Beautiful view at the top. Many trails intersecting, so follow the map.

This is my 4th time here, very nice place with different views. Rocky and lake .
It took me 6 hrs slow- medium walk. Fresh air .
1,5 liter of water .
Not too hard really, any fit person can do it. And what is nice here if you get tired from one trail you easily can switch to an easy one like the blue trail.
Enjoy and stay fit and healthy this is the ultimate wealth.

A little tricky following the route shown here, but the views were great! Would definitely consider it again if I wanted to do a 5-10 mile ride.

Beautiful fall day. Easy walk and trails are well marked and signed. Suggest download of the trail map so you can monitor your entry and exit location.

Took a different path than what's mapped here. As another reviewer suggested, I parked on Woburn Parkway and walked along the gravel/sometimes paved path around the pond, but then veered away from the water up a slight hill and then down again. The footing there is rockier and woodsier, but not really hiking. Still, be careful with the loose rocks going downhill :) Nice location away from car-traffic, with a taste of nature in an otherwise densely populated neighborhood. Distance: 3.8m

Nice trail if you are in the area and/or looking for dog-friendly hikes. Simple network of well-marked trails, and the peak and pond are lovely spots to sit and enjoy.

Good trail to walk a dog. Almost everyone you come across has a dog with them. very well marked. maps at entrance, take one.

Loved this place. Parked off North Road . Was limited for time but in 40 minutes was able to do about 2 miles . Did the loops that stayed near the pond . Very pretty. Trails well marked . Will be back !

Pretty walk, great signage. Not strenuous.

Great hike! I would’ve never thought I’d find a quality hike this close to Boston. Ridge Trail is the way to go — especially up to Castle Rock.
