This is always the best trail in Central Florida. I hike with my dogs in every direction and every trail. Thankfully it’s so close to my house and I can enjoy it everyday.

Only complaint is not having a pedestrian bridge at Montgomery, where you can sometimes wait over 3 minutes for the light. Watch yourself at this intersection: cars turning right onto Montgomery from central parkway FREQUENTLY do not stop at the red, even with the no turn on red light illuminated.

Beautiful hike along the river. Trail was very well marked.

Currently closed for flooding

Beautiful trail , nice place for caping and painting .

Awesome.

Well keep trail within city limits. Went out there with a large group of boy scouts and adult leaders from the Lake District, Central Florida Council and everyone enjoyed the bike rides. Several of the scouts worked in their Bicycle Merit Badge as well. Some scouts run 15 miles, others went for 20, and a group completed 25. The trail is shared with hikers and people working out for short distances. Some areas are near main roads while other areas and shady with refreshing scenery. There are resting stations in the trail with bathroom and water available but, you want to bring enough water to sustain you in your entire ride (just in case).

This is a great trail. There are a lot of roots and depressions so be sure you have good footwear and have good balance. We have seen pigmy rattlesnakes the last two times we went. One was right on the trail and I stepped right over it. The second one was slightly off the trail. Neither moved and just stayed coiled up.

We went to go hiking yesterday here and learned that it was closed due to flooding. Hopefully it will reopen soon.

Surprised to find this little gem in Florida. Can be technical at times. Loved the rides.

has a little bit of everything. i love this trail

Love this trail for hiking / trail running. A few spots are flooded over right now, but easily crossable.

It was fun...until we got lost. The maps aren’t worth a crap and somehow we ended up on the horse trail. Plenty of bugs to go around. I was miserable by the time we got back but BOY did we get a work out. Very adventurous and a good place to unwind in nature if you’re good at navigating with crappy maps.

One of my favorite hiking places in Central Florida. So much to see out there. In the summer, you can graze on fox grapes, blackberries, high Bush blueberries and sparkle berries along the trails. Often see turkey, wild pigs, deer, bald eagles, and more on some of the less travelled trails. My daily hikes out there helped me lose 60 lbs in 6 months!

Nice trails

In my opinion, this is the prettiest park for hiking in Central Florida. there are many trials, and you can pick trails that give you the distance you would like to hike. There's a lot of wildlife around and the views of the Econ River are sometimes stunning. During the summer, some of the trails can become flooded, restricting the amount of hiking you can do.

Great place to hike in and camp, lots of great sites and trees down to find for firewood, but none blocking the trails, very sandy and all natural trails. Sunset was fantastic with wildlife, lots of birds, some gators heard at night, but not seen in day. Folllows along the river most of the trails I've travelled, so very beautiful scenery. Very peaceful and quiet once away from the road sounds, which doesnt take long. No unsavory characters encountered on my trips, 5 so far. My only issue is the bridge to the flagler loop has been down since last year, still not yet fixed at my last trip in March, otherwise it's 5 stars. No facilities at the Barr Street trailhead, not sure about the other. Looking forward to coming again soon.

Best mountain biking you can find in FL. Variety of single tracks for any skill levels all the way to double Black trails.

Great trail. However, right now the last 1/8 mike or so is under water.

Hurricane Irma took its toll. The Flagler bridge is closed and the canopy is not quite what it was. The footing is much sandier. But then nature is what it is and being out in it is always a joy.

There are ticks !!!!! This may or may my not be the trail i was on. Hot summer day. No mosquitoes. Saw some tracks. And just enjoyed a day, well one hour in the woods.

The Trails End Sign was no t the end of the trail on this map.

Great Mini Trail; bird watching/multiple bird and nature trails

Loved this!!! Lots of water yesterday. I definitely want to return with my bike when it dries out some. On the snake train I was knee deep.... there was no other way except turning around. I watched two people come through it before I did.

Awesome trails! Just gotta make sure e you stay on trail. Watch for the colored tees to make sure you’re on trail and you’ll be fine!!! One of my favs for sure!

This is more is a 12 mike hike.
Also, if your going to Alexander Springs, around mile 10 or 11 you will be walking on a rather long wooden foot bridge. After that foot bridge, start looking for the BLUE path to your right. The BLUE path will lead you to the Springs. If you keep going on the Orange path, you will really over shoot it.

Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Fun & well maintained. It rained the day before and there wasn’t much mud, let alone water on the trail.

Great hike! Wear waterproof shoes for the foreseeable future because a few areas were tough to pass without getting wet. We hiked from Barr to the bridge and it was a hot day but stayed shaded and not too hot.

Beautiful scenery. I was able to see some interesting insects, snakes, and gators. The main trail is very straightforward and marked pretty well. There are benches but they all look unstable or are obscured by greenery. Unfortunately a couple of the boardwalks are closed and those that are open lead to overgrown and difficult (and somewhat dangerous) to navigate trails. I will most likely come back but I would love to see this place get some tlc.
