Nice, easy to moderate hike. Funky start with residences/dirt roads. Once you get on the trail, it’s a pretty trek along the creek, and then up the contour trail. The waterfall is viewable from above, but nice to go down the trail that’s off to the right (a bit slippery, w ropes for part of it), to access the waterfall. Fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon, but enjoyed the nature & mountain views
3/6/2021 started hike @9:30am Buenisimo ! Buen ejercicio para las piernas, la mitad del camino casi no hay sombra, pero en general muy bueno! Beautiful Hike, nice legs workout, the second half of the trail has not much of shade, but the breeze helps! Overall its a great Hike!//06
Enjoyed this hike the only thing if I’m not mistaking the trail marker says it’s 2 miles I don’t remember, but it’s definitely not 2 miles it’s the 4.8 as it’s listed on here but over all nothing to crazy a calm and relaxing hike
Such a fun hike!! Perfect for your pup to join along and have a good time. Will definitely return :)
Tough but beautiful. Good shade in some places. Enjoyed it a lot.
Lovely meander into the hills following the creek. First half wide and shady, second half climb and descend to the waterfall and creek
It was fun Bring flashlight
Anybody know if the caves are open now?
Beautiful and so rewarding
Amazing day, no wind. Spikes helped but were not strictly necessary. My friend and I decided to cross the ridge and bushwhack to add on the mine trail- we were the second to do so according to the prints.
My son is obsessed with all the rocks and cairns on the other side
Absolutely beautiful! Cannot wait to come back again! There’s still several icy parts so if you have micro spikes I’d bring them. Don’t forget flashlights to explore the mine! That was my 6 year olds favorite part.
Bring flashlight at night!!! On my own up stairs down easy way
Great hike just be ready for a good hill
Saturday 2/27/2021 Overall a great hike. You have to cross quite a bit of streams but nothing too crazy. The climb down to the base of the waterfall wasn't as bad as I imagined. Someone left ropes which were definitely useful, but it was definitely still doable without those. I brought my 10-lb puppy and he needed help at some steeper parts, but if you're bringing a big dog they should be able to make it down fine. I don't know if the waterfall flows all year round but when we went there was still a lot of water flowing. We hiked to the top of the waterfall first before climbing down and resting for a bit. The area at the bottom of the waterfall is pretty small so I'd imagine it'd be crowded if you start later. We started at 7am and there was already a good amount of people on the trail. There were some narrow parts and it was kinda difficult to make way on the way back. Also, there were only probably 4 parking spots, but everyone just parked on the street. We were one of the first who had to park on the street and were nervous, but when we came back, there were way more cars so parking on the street should be fine.
