Quick trail! The steps are harder than they look though! Gorgeous falls. I personally enjoyed Makestic falls better of the 2. Will definitely do again in the summer time!

Such a beautiful hike on a crisp winter morning I recommend this hike to anyone! So many beautiful waterfalls

It was a beautiful and relaxing hike! I highly recommend hitting the trail later in the morning, when the sun shines through the trees and the morning dew begins to burn off.

Quite the calf burner, but made for an incredible first time hike. The views are worth the grind up to the top. Couldn't imagine walking this during snowfall or heavy rain due to downed trees in parts and narrower paths. All in all a nice gem of a hike.

Went on a Cold Sunday morning hike. We took the Kopetski trail loop and came around the back side of jawbone flats. No worries you end up on the same trail you start on. We started our hike at 11 AM and got done at 2:15 PM. We only saw two other groups of hikers until we started to head back, then it was a bit more crowded, but no problem as it’s not nearly as bad as the summer time. Dress warm/layers as you are hiking in a canyon that gets very little sunlight and it’s cold until you warm up from hiking. We stopped for a small lunch at jawbone flats and had to layer back up before we got going again. Love this place. BRING CASH OR CHECK for parking. And if you can spare it, the town takes donations too, and once you see how pristine they help keep the town and trails you’ll want to donate. Great hike for all ages and skills but the Kopetski Loop is a little more rugged and step, would not recommend for little ones or people with old knees. Enjoy.

great family hike. can be muddy at times and slippery in some spots. still a great and beautiful hike.

As someone who isn’t from here, I was bummed that nobody mentioned the lake gets drained in the winter so it’s mostly dirt there currently, but it was a great hike nonetheless and the view of Mt Jefferson is incredible. No snow, and saw families with small children and kids on the way out and back. Took my 12 year old dog on this and she got tired from the incline on the way up but was fine after we hung out at the top for about 10 minutes and we were able to get back to our car in half the time it took to get up the mountain. Definitely would do again when it’s warmer out and the lake is full

easy hike with a wonderful ending!!!

Beautiful hike with an amazing view, especially on a clear day. I would highly recommend this hike.

One of the best hikes in the state! just make sure you go in the winter if you don't like crowds!

One of the most beautiful hikes in Oregon. Jawbone Flats is an incredible site to see.

Nice walk and a beautiful waterfall!

Not a fan of the road getting there, but the falls are amazing and totally worth it all.

Beautiful forestry and an amazing waterfall.

Nice and easy walk. Nice and clean trail with a few falls. It's cool to be able to go behind the last one and just listen.

Such a beautiful hike! We did this hike in June 2018 and it was absolutely breathtaking. We hadn’t backpacked for almost a year, so we wanted to do something a little leisurely. We made it a 3 day/2 night trip. The water beautiful and the old growth trees were amazing to see. The signage is great from the beginning to opal creek over to jawbone flats. We tried hiking beyond that and the signage wasn’t the best as we continued.

Got there later in the afternoon so thankfully we missed all the tourist hikers.
Great for my 2 year old but again just too popular of a site to go more than once every few years.

pretty falls

Great area to explore. Definitely need to come back up soon. Great day to be out when I was there in early December. Forgot to post when I got home.

Went and hiked out to the waterfall with my wife on 4 Jan. Trail was muddy is some spots, but nothing severe. The suspension bridge was fun to cross and I enjoyed the lower view of the fall, which is going strong this time of year.

The hike was short and easy, even with the optional North Loop trail. Boots recommended.

Absolutely stunning

a little soggy, but i dont mind that in a trail. the falls are so full right now, the best part of the trail is listening to the flowing water of the river or a fall in front or behind ya. will definitely hike this again!

Beautiful beautiful hike!

Beautiful easy hike. The elevation is gradually and comes on at a steady pace. Took my wife and kids. Ages 5 and 6. My one year old went into my Phil and teds carrier and onto my back. Highly recommended.

Hiking this trail in the winter is the way to go if you want to skip the crowds. It was the perfect little hike for a winter day.

Easy and beautiful hike! Simple access. visitors from Australia loved it!

Easy to find, clear trail, beautiful view. Hiked in winter and snow coverage was not foreboding.

Short hike but more than worth it! Beautiful waterfall! My girlfriend and I went during winter and it was a little chilly but the walk was short and getting soaked by the falls was worth it! The hike in was beautiful!

Easy hike that had two beautiful waterfalls on it! The first one pours over a cave like structure. You can walk under the first waterfall but the cave does not that much clearance and tends to be muddy but it’s a fun little cave to go into. The second falls are much larger and you can see that one from a distance on a high ledge where the trail ends. Beautiful. You can climb down off of that ledge to get to the foot of the water but it gets pretty sketchy in winter. Beautiful hike.
