The service road is closed to motorized vehicles. The trails through the forest are varied with tons of great stops for the kids. My 4 and 6 year old were so entranced with the climbing trees and "houses" under fallen trees and the make-shift cabin someone had made out of a ton of fallen timber, we only made it about 0.5 miles of the trail in 3 hours! I would not go in the hotter months to avoid the ticks, but today, mid-December, we saw exactly one ant and no other crawlies.

Nice place. Not overly crowded.

Great trail. 2 choices of paths that intersect several times . Didn’t see many ticks at all.

This is one of the better trails in the area. I have had 2 crashes on this trail and I still keep coming back. There is some sections that can get sandy coming out of a turn .
Even though the parking lot is packed most of the times I hardly come across a biker on the trail. Most of the time I come across a runner or hiker.

We loved this trail. It was a peaceful, relaxing, and leisurely walk with our little dogs (who also loved it). The pond/lake had a couple of “scenic outlook” spots for decent picture taking. We will be back.

The trails are very pleasant and pretty. I saw 3 deer and no people on a Wednesday in the Fall. These trails were made for biking, but they are also nice for walking. There are picnic tables and a porta-potty near the trailhead.

I enjoyed this ride. I didn’t get to ride the whole trail by any means. I took the #4 trail at first because it is the first trail you come to. I followed it in a good sized circle then when I came back to the main road I decided to follow it wherever it went. To head out I went back to an inlet to part of trail #4. The trail comes to a T right takes you back to the main road (right follows trail #4) left takes you down the rest of the main trail (unknown territory for me).

Great place near the city. Always love this trail!

tried trail 1 again, ended on 4 until it ran into 1, turned the wrong way and ended up back at the trailhead. oh well, enjoyed it anyway and each time we hike it I figure it out even better.

Great trail, even when it's raining because it's paved. Take a picture of the map on the sign, before you start the hike and you can easily see where you are.

Trail is awesome today

Took Trail 1. Many changes of topography and a slight incline. Went with my kids. Beautiful day. Great trail.

Took trail 4. It was okay but too much of it is on a gravel road. On the road the trail markers are few and confusing. Will go again in the future and use trail 1.

Technically a good workout with mountain bike

Good experience! No ticks but we got chiggers. Dog loved it. Got a bit lost the trail markers are not very helpful, thank goodness for GPS. Will definitely use again.

Personally I felt uncomfortable here. I pulled up and there were people in the trees staring as if I was going to bother them. For the little bit of this trail I did do, we came home with no ticks (so far) which is good. I won't be returning to this trail, just had a bad vibe.

There are seed ticks! You will get hundreds or so on you! Otherwise great trail, well maintained, the dogs had fun.

There were tons of tiny ticks. Bring lots of bug spray and water. This trail took about 2 miles an hour due to all the twists and turns. It's very easy to get going in the wrong direction. Parts of the trail are hard to determine if you are on the right one. There are so many trails to choose from. I will definitely go back in the fall once the tick have gone.

Quiet, well maintained, scenic trails. Perfect for family walks and bike riding.

For a short easy walk this is a good place to go.

This trail doesn’t offer anything challenging other than the annoying sand at every turn. Useless if you ask me. That would be the only challenge on this trail. Save your time and pick another trail

ticks were TERRIBLE even with Deet spray. great trail tho.

This used to be a great trail but when they added the billion dollar highway so people could walk and not get their shoes dirty they cut out half the trail. The north and east side is still intact but even that is being destroy by sewage pipe construction.

Love the trails here! Only negative would be the LOW LIFE PEOPLE that leave their trash around in areas!

Good trail fairly new to MB riding. Encountered several deer actually had to stop for the fawn to get out of the way. Gonna head back tomorrow for the big course that’s about 3-4miles in. If I’m laying there call paramedics!!

It was a great trail to bring my almost 2 year old. She loved exploring and enjoyed seeing all of the turtles in the lake.

We went on trail 4. You have to walk down a gravel road before you get to the trail. Not much to see and if you follow the signs it takes you back to the gravel road. We ended up turning back.

Took the kid and our dogs. Had a great walk, mostly shady so that was nice because it was hot. No bug issues at all. Met Friendly people.

This was a great well maintained easy trail.
On the drive home we noticed hundreds of seed ticks on us. Please heed the tick warnings for July 2018!!
