Definitely not the place to go to get away from people, or have quiet time. But the view is breath-taking! It's easy to get to the rock and from there, it's a bit of a scramble to the top.

Great hike! Beautiful!

Sunset here is just magical!

Really enjoyed this hike. A good blend of woods and cozy, quiet beaches. The first time we went, no one else was there. The 2nd time, we saw a handful of people. Love the whales at Whale Beach! Note: the stairs getting down to the trail might be a little tricky for some.

Love this hike. One of my absolute favorites.

It was nice to take our twin 5 year olds

Went on 11/22 and the area plus trails were marked as closed for the season, although there was no snow yet there

fun trail for dogs! beautiful views of the lake.

Just did this trail today and the view from the top of Cave Rock was spectacular! Quick easy hike with some rock climbing to get to the very tip top.

Short trail with a great view. Some noise pollution from the road but well worth it.

Loved this beach!
Had it all to ourselves! Gorgeous turquoise water.
When the trail crosses the dirt road, it restarts a bit to the left by a big tree.
You can also follow the dirt road to another nice beach about 3/4 mile farther south.

Great view. Very easy and short but worth it. Wish I would have taken lunch up there.

shorter than expected but was a nice trail with a beautiful Overlook of Cave Rock

Very nice walking trail along lake and moraines. Nice vistas along lower west side of lake. Trail ends near ruins of historic Baldwin sawmill turned boathouse and homesite. Trail would also be good for biking or running. Lake water clear. One of the few EASY trails in the Tahoe basin.

short easy hike to chimney beach. Had great views.

It was a warm humid day today though being next to fallen leaf lake made for a nice cool day with breathtaking pictures. Thank you Alltrails.

So we were actually looking for the Secret Cove, the nude beach. When you look at the trail map in this app, go along the lake in opposite direction where you see an actual cove on the map. That's the spot. It's gorgeous but it was stupid crowded and had a boat anchored in the center and blasting dumb music. We found our own Little Rock to sit on:)

Great hike! Easy walk until you get to the rock pile. You then climb the rocks to the top which was not a bad climb at all. It's worth it once you reach the top!

Finding parking was a bit difficult in the high season, but the trail is great and has spectacular views of the lake.

Gorgeous views and a nice even trail for little ones.

Absolutely beautiful views, great beaches, we had a great day here. We took our 3 year olds and the hike down was no problem at all. After a long day of fun in the sun, swimming, etc, the hike UP was not as great. If you are taking a bunch of stuff down there, you want to make sure you're prepared to lug it back up with you. All in all, great beach for families, clean, free, and extremely beautiful.

Perfect easy trail with scenic bonus prizes along the way. Good for a walk or a run and possibly some mountain biking. Small beach at end/beginning was not too crowded late in the day. Bring bug spray at dusk. No flooding or other hazards at this time. Next time I will start at the beach (to the right) rather than from the visitor parking area. The view is much better.

Great easy hike along the lake

Great, love the view, ready to go again.

whoops! didn't know that this was a nudist beach! Had to walk up a bit to get to the next beach cove. Really pretty views! It is Saturday so parking was a bit challenging. Look for the stairs, easier to get to the trail.
