Jenny Jump is great. Camped overnight, 0acked up early and did the loop. Nice, moderate, great scenery.
Lovely woodsy walk. The trail was well maintained and easy to navigate. Great markers!
Picked this trail thinking it’d be a good lake perimeter trail but we barely saw the lake at all. Ok if you’re looking for a relatively easy stroll. The ruins were awesome, and the scenery was different than just being in the woods. Other than that it was a pretty average time.
2 miles. 375 elevation. Short hike with some nice elevation.
Good trail
Good, lots of cedar trees and reishi
Some steep hills
Beautiful views on an easy winter hike. Great ruins and views of the lake on the way.
The first half was lovely through the woods with some nice inclines but the second half is mostly on a gravel road meandering last the campsites back to the parking area.
Good walk. It wasn’t too muddy nor too crowded on Labor Day. Nice easy walk around the ruins
Great trail!
Nice loop very different scenery. Very clean and maintain trails. See pic very big bug in the trail. Deer and lots of birds very nice views along the summit trail. Glad to see campers and people enjoying the park. I stayed in the cabins about 10-13 years ago with my son. Hidden gem
The lake is beautiful. I was amazed that no one was on the trails. If you go right around the lake stay on the blue trail until you get to the green trail. The Altrails map is off. It was a bit buggy and if there's a lot of rain the trail may get muddy. All in all an easy hike.
fun trail, keep in mind the point for summit because it's easy to miss. also the trail loops back to a road so you'll be walking on the shoulder for a good 3/4 of a mile.
I only hiked to the ruins because the horseflies were terrible (even with bug spray). I’ve done this hike many times in early spring and fall time so maybe wait till the weather cools down. Still a fun hike though, very pretty and nice views of the lake.
Good relaxing hike with moderate grading. Few good overlooks on the first half of the loop. Second half is mostly on paved path thru’ camping area.
Love this area! Trails are pretty well marked and easy-going—we like both the grassy part filled with wildflowers and the shaded woods. The ruins are very cool and add some extra flavor to the walk. The lake itself is gorgeous—definitely recommend kayaking there if you can! A few bugs and muddy in some places.
