Absolutely breathtaking views and amazing perspective of the falls. A lot of falls have walkways behind the falls. Definitely one of my favorite hikes of all time!

Absolutely beautiful. I went with my husband & daughter in the summer. Be sure to take plenty of water. I'm going again with a friend in October. should be pretty in Fall. Highly recommend it.

Very crowded!

I really love hiking this Trail. It is rated moderate, but I think it is fairly easy. The view at the top is well worth the hike!!!!!

It was hard finding the actual trailhead if you don’t use the app. I absolutely loved the hike! Such a good workout and my dog loved it as well. I try to go places that allow dogs off leash and it was a perfect trail for that. Another thing that confused me was the satellite on the app. I wasn’t sure if I was going the right way so I kept asking people who passed by if I was going the right way; finally one person seemed to know what I was talking about

Beautiful hike, enjoyed the falls very invigorating

Nice loop hike with manageable elevation gain. We started at the South Falls trailhead and went counterclockwise, which I would recommend. The first part of the Rim Trail runs next to the road, so we were glad to get that out of the way first.
We didn’t know about the trail running event this weekend, which meant a full parking lot and lots of muddy, cold people. We were expecting a lot of other people, but not that many. We almost turned around, but are glad we didn’t. Fortunately most of the runners had finished by the time we hit the trail.
It was a cloudy day, but the falls are still amazing.

Great hike you can do in different loops depending on how much time and effort you can make. 1 mile, 2.6 miles, 5 miles, etc. we did the 2.6 mile loop and it was beautiful. We saw 2 falls

One of the most beautiful sights to see in Oregon.

Awesome day 10/28/28....a bit of rain filled the streams and falls were amazing.

Hiked this on 10/13/18 (a beautiful, sunny Saturday) and only saw one other couple on the way in and some folks on horses on the way out. Hiked all the way to the tower at the top. Beautiful views!!

The directions on All Trails plugged into my gps on my iPhone and took us directly to the parking lot (which is very small) without any problem.

a little bit of an overcast day and foggy but when you get to the top simply spectacular.

Great fall color in the forest. I did it counter clockwise so it was an easy walk with less crowds.

Started this hike in the later afternoon on 10/21/18 and was glad I brought the headlamps for the trip back down the mountain. There are many trailheads in this area and I was glad I picked this one. I always try to use map my ride app to track steps, distance and time which read 6.52miles. We did have to take the left at the very top because the marked trail on all trails was closed. Very enjoyable hike with several changes in terrains. It will get your heart rate up with the constant uphill that which is gradual to moderate. There is a bathroom at the trailhead and there is a $5 parking fee unless you have northwest forest pass.

I love this hike. It’s fairly easy until about the last stretch there’s a lot of stairs but the view is rewarding. It doesn’t take to long. Looks beautiful during the day or night! I’ve done this hike about 10 times and counting.

Breathtaking views! Pretty crowded, especially the first few waterfalls (lots of people stopping for photos), but the farther you go, the less people there are. You can walk behind a couple of the waterfalls, and those areas usually have large puddles of water and can be pretty muddy so heads up! I highly recommend this hike, it's drop-dead gorgeous!

Did this hike on Friday morning. Got there 10 minutes before 8am right when they opened the gate. Glad I got there early as by the time I finished the loop it was there was a lot of people going in. Beautiful hike!

We (wife, dog, me) walked his trail on a Saturday afternoon in August. Delightful easy walk thru managed forest. Encountered occasional other cyclists, joggers, and walkers. Trail is thru the forest and does not offer panoramic views.

We (wife, dog, me) walked the first part of this trail late afternoon on a Friday in mid October. Spectacular views, good climb, and we encountered no other walkers. We'll definitely do it again and try some of the other trail options.

Easy, very pleasant walk. Quite busy with other dog walkers, joggers, and cyclists.

Just went on 10/13/18. The trail and views were absolutely beautiful. The area is isolated, we did not meet anyone on the trail or road despite it being the weekend. However, my hiking partner and I had to turn back halfway through the hike after hearing a growl. Uncertain what the animal was, but it was loud and close enough we didn't feel safe. Be cautious!

I can confirm that the directions for parking and getting to the hike in the comments below are accurate.

Very beautiful with fall colors. Falls were alittle weak compared to other times visited, yet just as beautiful and worth the drive!!

This is not hard and is more or a walk. Pretty views on a clear day.

This hike was pretty crowded on an October day. It starts out as paved, but turns into a rocky and dirt trail shortly into the start. It can be pretty slippery at times. It’s very beautiful and you get to go behind waterfalls.

This is a great afternoon hike. The Ridgeline trail is a great warmup for the hike up to the butte. I like to do the full Spencer Butte loop to make it a lollipop loop.

Quite easy. lovely scenery. very busy on a Sunday around noon.

By far one of the best places to if you are new to Eugene or just here for a visit. I have used it to drop a few pounds (ok like 40)! A few different starting points and awesome views.

on Trail of Ten Falls

Went during the week and there were still a fair amount of people on the trail in the morning, but didn’t feel overcrowded. Winter Falls is currently dry and Double Falls is barely a trickle. Overall beautiful fall colors and scenery.

Peaceful hike with nice views (had trail to myself) that starts in the woods and then is exposed the rest of the way so bring sun protection for your pretty faces ☺️. A tad chilly this afternoon along the ridge. From Shot Gun Recreation Area it’s a narrow paved road (go slow when you can’t see around bends as the road isn’t wide enough for two-way traffic). When you get to the dirt road for the trail (there’s no sign/markings, you just have to go by GPS—btw no cell service for the most part, so load your map before heading out), park immediately off the paved road in the little “lot” —no signs except ones on trees about not shooting—and then walk up the short dirt road to the rock pile. Climb over the small rock pile and then through the chain fence and off you go! The forest section has a lot of small logs that are easy to step over (the trail is wide and well-kept, these are there I’m guessing to keep off road vehicles from using it). I agree with others to bring your hiking poles if you got ‘em. There are parts of the ridge that are steep and sections of slippery gravel. The rock cave is close to the end of the trail. I went past it into a very short narrow forest trail that brings you to a radio tower.
