Beautiful trail with challenging elevation gains. Trail conditions today weren’t terrible. Needed to throw spikes on my boots for the climb to Jane Bald. I had a very muddy Labrador on the ride home.

Very fun! Second half is mostly straight up, very steep. I loved the views!!! I did wish as a solo female hiker that I’d brought bear spray along since I didn’t see anyone else on the trail except on the way back down, and it was a guy with a hunting rifle, which was little jarring. But otherwise it was great! About 5.5 hrs to Celo Knob and back (including a lazy lunch and a quick nap.)

Great morning and afternoon. Trails not too muddy after the rain and not crowded on a chilly Monday.

An unbelievable hike. Many side trails to get around the mud and snow melt. Easy hike to Round Bald with beautiful views even if you cant go all the way to Grassy. When the AT splits, take the blue spur trail up to Grassy Ridge.

Beautiful trail with great views. Muddy and icy in parts yesterday.

Very nice. Photos do not make justice of the place. Did it yesterday 2.23.21 with all the family (from 3 months old to 50 years old). Started around 4:15pm and we did the Upper falls view, Chimney view, Erwins view and Gorge view. My favorite was Chimney. at very very slow pace with babies it was about 45 mins trail, starting from the gravel parking lot. Totally recommended.

Great short hike. With beautiful waterfall

The trail was incredibly muddy. The views were incredible. You could see all the way to the Black Mountains from most of the trail. It was incredibly cold. Wind chill was around 0, so be prepared.

Easy walk. Beautiful falls.
