Busier until you break off. Easier to start loop to the left. Don’t miss the fire tower view it’s amazing.

WalkingGreat!

Basically a brutal stair master then it gets much easier after around 2 miles. So many different view points very well maintained and clearly marked. Almost too easy. I was unaware the park didn’t open up until 7 and cost to park. We had to wait. That’s my own fault for not researching though.

Plenty of scenery and definitely a good workout. Bring good shoes and plenty of water. This trial is definitely a hike. We climbed rocks, walked through ice, mud, snow, dirt, moss...you name it. Beautiful views. There was a steady flow of people but not crowded. Plenty of parking for a weekend hike. Overall great experience! (Hike was on 1/10/21)

So if you are starting at the bottom with the Blue trail, forewarning, if you choose to go blue - yellow to get to the top, there are a TON of steps. Really great challenge.

This trail was a lot of fun! Moderate due to the inclines, but made easier because of the well maintained steps. There were lots of hikers with dogs, families, and a group of people rappelling down the beautiful granite rock face. I made this a leisurely hike and took my time; total was a little over 3 hours. The waterfall off the rock face was mesmerizing. I also toured the old homestead right off the trail close to the lower parking lot.

Excellent trail with unbelievable views. It was a clear day so I could see almost everything in the distance. Cannot say enough about this trail. Steep in some places but all together manageable. Not a lot of views before you get to the top but still incredible trail. Recommend this one.

Clockwise: Jomoekee is completely flat, which we weren’t expecting. Plenty of photo opportunities. Ledge Spring is not overly technical, but you do have to pay attention. Lots of stairs going *down*. We missed the turn up at 3 Bears Gulch so the last part of the trail up Grindstone was a slog. Neat photo opportunity at the TOP of 3 Bears off Grindstone (we took photos then walked back down to Ledge Spring to see where we missed & back up)

Clockwise: starts flat (can be muddy) before challenging rocky trail. Some of it appears to be a creek bed. Fabulous views at the top, especially from the fire tower. Mile + down the stairs is easy & quick but would stink going up.
