Great family friendly trail with lots of sights and activities packed into a short hike. Fun and beautiful.

Nice easy hike. Good trail to start your hiking season on.

Great trail. If you have bad knees I would be cautious most of this train is lost on large steps and large lost rock!

I’m here to write about ALL the trails at Lake Wedington!!
THEY ARE ATROCIOUS!! Someone needs to get this National Park in order. Shame on this park and the people that maintain it!! We traveled through the camp sites and the road had tree roots as big as my tire itself. Trails have not been maintained in years on the North side of the hwy. signs that the “TRAILS CLOSED” look like they’ve been there for years at the North side of road parking lot. After ignoring the sign and getting back in there. It looks like someone took a National Park hiking trail and turned it into a money making bike trail system. Tore the place up for sure. Very sad day for my wife and I getting in there to that mess. So much for the beauty of a National Park! SHAME ON THEM !

Pay attention to your map! A TON of people we talked to along the way told us we were at the top when we were only halfway up. There are roads at both trailheads, if you don't see a parking lot and a road you are NOT done.

Very cool trail. As first time park goers we couldn't find the waterfalls, so definitely have a good map!

Using the directions from this app we found the trail with no issues, although it is in the middle of nowhere haha we were thinking we had gone the wrong way before we finally ran into a local on the narrow dirt road and he told us we were right around the corner.
The trail was easy for the most part and the end result is def worth all of the time it took to find and hike the trail. Beautiful rock, waterfall, and water! Would love to go back during rainy season as the water flow wasn’t as much as I expected. Our 6 year old twins absolutely loved it!

Me and a friend recently hiking the BHT on the hottest day of the summer so far and besides the heat and ridiculous amount of seed ticks, it was a pretty good hike. We hiked it in a day and a half, camping at Junction Camp overnight. The camp areas are well maintained and a lot of them include rock furniture. There are a couple of swimming holes that you can veer off the main trail to see that are a great way to stay cool. There's quite a bit of hiking up hill and down hill on loose rocks, some parts of the trails are better kept than others. From miles 8-11 it was very overgrown when we hiked, almost to the point where we had to guess where the trail was. This hike has some good overlooks, and rock overhangs to check out. I just suggest bringing plenty of water in the summer and covering up. It's not enough to just treat your clothes with tick repellant. Also lots of spier webs when we hiked but if it's a busy time of year then they should be cleared out you :)

Great trail and moderately easy. Only small inclines that we’re short! We have had so much fun exploring Arkansas. We were able to take the Drone and get some amazing footage of Yellow Rock Overlook. Please check it out at this link

loved the area, it would have been better in spring or fall but still beautiful. parking for this area is horrible, I rode a motorcycle there and it was difficult to get out of. a low car would also have trouble.

On 7/15/18, I hiked both this and the Yellow Rock trails, which I suggest doing. The FF trail was nice and peaceful, and provided me with various opportunities to explore the creek bed. The YR trail was more vertical, and provided numerous spectacular vistas. To top it off, there is a knee-deep “swimming hole” near the YR trailhead.

It was a beautiful, scenic trail. We took lots of pictures of the surrounding mountainsides. Wish I could say I’d be back when the waterfall was flowing, but I came from out of state. We explored the campgrounds as well. I’d definitely recommend the park to anyone who loves camping and hiking.

Should be the 8th wonder of the world!

Love this trail, but it really could use better signage at crossroads areas towards the end.

Today there were so many spiderwebs over the path and it was overgrown in areas, so not recommended in sandals.

Saw lots of wildlife, including a woodchuck, several deer, and some tiny frogs.

Water is really low right now so creek crossing isn't an issue.

Great trail for a newer hiker. Took the family on this one. They got a little hot but did great. Will probably hike this one again. .

Good easy hike. Kids and pet friendly. Unfortunately the falls were pretty dry at this time of the year.

Great trails! Last time I was here in July of 2017, there was A LOT of spiders, so many I was nervous and decided to turn around. The other times I have gone, June 2015 and July 2016, not so many!

Beautiful trail. A lot of people on the look outs who were kind of camped out made it a little less enjoyable, but if people don’t bother you, the trail is nice. Great in the spring with the dogwoods blooming and lots of flowing water.

Great hike. Very scenic. Heavily trafficked on weekends. Worth it though.

More of a 4-wheeler trail...beautiful hollow with the falls

Excellent quick trail with lots to offer. Tons of caves, rock walls, and with heavy rain apparently a waterfall (no rain lately so not present today). Trail was well marked and nearby several other trails.

It was fun! Family friendly and very beautiful. Sometimes the trail was hard to follow so I was thankful for this app’s map.

Fantastic moderate hike. The trail is clearly marked and easy to keep track of. Which is great, because you really need to mind your footing with all the loose and embedded rocks. The overlook is fantastic. There’s a second ledge a bit past the first, so you can get some great pictures if you are hiking with a partner. This trail also offered several nice stopping points to take a break or grab some water. Easily one of my favorites in NWA.

This trail was intense. Pretty difficult. I did it as an overnight. It has some very beautiful spots along the way but the rocky terrain chewed my feet up. Make you have good boots that fit well. Junction camp is not easy to find. Stay at rock hole. It’s nice there in the evening. I shared part of the creek that night with a beaver. He was chill, though. It’s pretty dry out there right now, which was a bummer. Looking forward to doing this trail again in the fall.

A little disappointing. There was hardly any water in the creeks so it wasn’t very impressive. It’s was neat just not as cool as I thought it would be. It’s super short and easy so I guess it’s worth a look.

Lots of great smells, wildlife, and varied terrain throughout this hike. Would definitely recommend and do again.

Loved! Had lunch at the last overlook. We went and it was super hot, but shaded so still bearable. Nice to tag on after the Devils Den Trail.

We loved it! A little difficult to navigate due to not being marked really well at certain starting points and turns, but getting turned around isn’t that big of a deal - we still saw everything.
Loved the caves (closed but cool to see), loved the low-temp crevices, and the rock formations were beautiful all over. A nice easy hike to start off the day.
We took this trail straight to the Yellow Rock Trail.

views from the top were amazing, it got a little confusing towards the end where the trail wasn't marked well where a wooden bridge was blocked off. Amazing view of the valley!
