Amazing hike and the waterfall at the end is breathtaking, far exceeding my expectations. Well-marked trail in purple. Several very steep inclines but doable. It took me about 30 min to get in and 25 back. I’m under 30 and exercise daily and I was sweaty and pretty tired when I finished, so great little workout, too

Great trail, awesome hike, amazing waterfall.

A great short hike. The waterfall at the end is really beautiful. Gets a little hard at some places, otherwise a moderate hike. I will not suggest taking kids because there are few points with pretty steep and slippery climb.

Moderate uphill hike with roots and boulders along the way, but the waterfalls are beautiful and well worth the effort!

Hiked up on 8/4 with the whole crew of kids- 9, 8, 6, and 4- its a little steep at some parts but definitely doable for kids- great falls at the top- if you go up the right side of the falls there’s a better spot 1/2 way up to rest and have lunch/snack

Easy, well marked trail to hike.
This waterfall is my absolute favorite. To say that it’s stunningly beautiful is a complete understatement! It’s truly magical!
100% worth the drive and the hike to get to it!

Easy hike with great reward payoff at the end. Falls were awesome and definitely highly recommended! I prefer this set of falls over Station Cove honestly. I was there all by myself in the AM! Dog did great too!

Fav trail!

Very rainy solo hike in the AM on 8/3, due to the rain the trail was completely empty. This isn't a great trail to do in the rain as the food path basically works as a slippery clay drainage creek. Other than getting very wet, it's an enjoyable short trail with some interesting boulders and nice waterfalls which were at peak capacity due to the current monsoon season. I know the trail is rated hard, but it's actually very easy as it's really short and the climbs are moderate. Up near the falls you do have to scrabble around a bit but it's not technically challenging. I think this would be a great hike for kids 8+ due to the length and interesting elements. I plan to do it again with the family in tow next time.

This trail is gate locked and CLOSED all summer. Serious bummer and lack of information about this trail.

Loved this one! It’s well marked, multiple easy creek crossings, beautiful falls! I recommend dipping your feet in the water & enjoying the refreshing cold water!

Enjoyed the distance and views with bridges. Narrow at certain areas but the waterfall was well worth it!

Loved this trail! It is fairly difficult and a steep incline 80% of the way up, but the waterfall and mountain views were truly worth it. We highly suggest doing this if you’re looking for something with some challenge. We got stuck in a thunderstorm and it was still not too bad.

A fun hike! This was a prelude to my hiking the Foothills Trail four times.

Really fun trail! Almost all up hill on the way there but it’s worth it to see the gorgeous waterfall.

My 6 yr old had no problem! it was great

This was a great trail! Very well maintained, muddy in some spots but easy to get around. Love love love crossing the creeks! The waterfall is spectacular and a great place to take a break and cool off before hiking out. Can’t wait to visit this one again!

First real hike in SC. We're from Colorado so we have plenty of trail time. Nice li'l hike. The gate to the summit was closed so we respected it, but I wish we hadn't. We'll go back just to say we did it. Our first 3er! The trail was more steep than I expected. It broke my niece's will to walk. Not as challenging as the high country in the Rockies but the humidity did add a layer of difficulty. I look forward to many more of these day hikes.

Great trail. So much of the Appalachians in such a short distance.

This is a well maintained and well marked trail. We have had some bad storms this summer, so there are a couple downed trees that you will need to maneuver. Also, it is muddy and slick in places. Young children will need to be watched carefully. There are some moderate drop offs. The stream crossings are fun and easy and add to the variety on this trail. Lots of roots, so hiking shoes are advised. Because we’ve had a lot of rain, the falls were amazing!!! All in all a really enjoyable hike.

Definitely a bit challenging with the roots and some steep terrain but 100% worth it for the beautiful waterfall!!

Very convenient to Highlands or Clemson.
Nice walk through mixed hardwood forest to beautiful wide falls. Several stream crossings but trail is reasonably well-maintained.
Hiked with wife and teenage kids. Reasonably fit but not in a hurry, took approximately 50 minutes each way. We hiked in a drizzle- barely felt the rain.
Best view of the falls is across the creek so you’ll want to wade. Walking stick recommended.
Pit toilet in parking lot.

As good as it gets for a medium hike. It is very strenuous and steep, and you must traverse roots and rocks, but there are some easy inclines and declines along the way.
It was brutally hot and bug-infested the day I went. The payoff is worth it. The trail of s decently marked and maintained. Keep to the left, when in doubt, on the way up. Look up from the bottom of the falls by taking a small steep trail.
One of my favorites in SC!

Beautiful hike & fabulous falls. Really enjoyed this trail. The dog loved it too! Pass over 4-5 creeks. Well marked & well maintained.

Stunning falls and nice trail!

Short but tough hike. The falls are beautiful with an option to hike higher and see more of the falls! I would not recommend taking your toddler like I did :)

Really great hike. The falls are absolutely amazing! Well worth the hike. May not be great for little kids. A lot of tree roots on the trail. Older kids should be just fine.

Easy to moderate hike. It’s July 7th, cloud cover, and temp was a very abnormal 74°, but humidity rose pretty high about half way in. Very nice and temperate at base of falls.
The rain has been good lately, so the falls were fantastic. Well worth the hike and the sweat.
We will return in the fall.

Beautiful walk. Chanterelle season. Open forest and a moderate walk if you walk every day. I'm not sure that the mileage is correct. Went Friday morning and met 3 dogs and 5 people, spread way out. Bring a snack for the climb back out. I'll do this o e again in the fall and the winter.
