Hiked this trail to the overlook. Wow! it's a gorgeous view. I'd call it a moderate hike. We are seniors in our 60's, and felt like it gave us a little challenge. We packed our lunch and sat at the overlook eating on a beautiful fall afternoon. The only disappointment we had was the lack of wildlife. Even from the overlook, we could see no wildlife. But, that's the way it's been the entire trip. Where are all the animals? Wolves taking care of them?

Great moderate hike. Busy trail on the weekends but still ok. Look forward to hiking it again later this week.

Please be aware, this is not a trail. It’s a road. The app gives an indication that this is s trail. It’s not.

That being said, it’s a beautiful setting and a nice walk, with a few hills.

It you are fit and fine, it's not a difficult hike. I started around 8:15ish. I was able to hike to top without any break. It took me around 45 mins to reach there with my normal pace. Spent half an hour at the top enjoying the beautiful views and came back which took around 25 mins(I jogged for half a mile or so).
The weather was nice today. While going up befor 9 you can get some shades because of mountains. There are restrooms at the trailhead and lots of parking.

This is an easy boardwalk that offers lovely views. However, to really enjoy the Grand Prismatic Spring I’d suggest taking the overlook trail.

This is an awesome little trail to get a sample of a lot of the wonders of Yellowstone. There are some sections with stairs, which, during our October visit, were caked in ice and really tricky to manage for children. Worth it though!

Love this trail!

Nice upward jaunt, great restart to hiking this year!

Visited on a Monday morning and only saw two others on the trail. We basically had the whole canyon to ourselves! Very beautiful!

Love this trail! The fir trees are gorgeous!

I had an encounter with a bald eagle, that was pretty awesome, however its not clearly marked. It's a good family day hike, muddy as af after a rain,

Long but lots to see

Please do not ride trail when closed on that site. Riding wet or muddy trails ruts the trail making it difficult to repair and can create dangerous conditions for users. Please follow appropriate direction arrows for biking or walking/running. Most of trail they are OPPOSITE for SAFETY reasons. Dog leashes are the law.

Enjoyable area to get and and enjoy the outdoors

Definitely a walking trail that has many turns anf will make you want to sprint to see what’s at the end of the path. You can see the Hollywood sign, but unfortunately the trail doesn’t lead to it.

Great for starters!

This is the best trail in the state. I have hundreds of miles here running, cycling, walking etc. plus they have restrooms near. Love Forest Park Forever!

Nice early morning hike to Andrews Bald. We beat the crowds but missed the views because of fog. Had breakfast at the bald though. Great hike. Will definitely do again.

Great hike for all. Slightly challenging towards the back end but the 360 degree views of the valley are worth every step.

Camping is no longer allowed on this trail. Beautiful hike!

Easy trail, better for mountain biking than hiking in my opinion.

beautiful
