Great hike with Richard, Macy and Gronk!

Went here with a 9 and 3 year old hoping for an easy path- there were too many places that the 3 year could not handle. Great trail, had to stop 1/4 of the way and turn back bc kids got tired.

Will definitely come back, sans kids.

Very easy trail if you hike like we do.

Many of the paths are overgrown with thorns!!

Many of the paths are poorly marked and could be quite confusing if you don’t pay attention.

Gorgeous! Highly recommend.

It’s a great place to go hiking, biking dog walking or running!

$8 pp for non members, kids free

Would have probably been more fun going clockwise, but great trails. Easy to feel lost in nature right outside a city.

Very high traffic area. So much to look at like Boston views the ocean we even saw a deer. High intensity hills every so often and so oretty in the fall. Deff on of my favorite spots!

This is an awesome trail that will push you to your limits. There is multiple routes to explore that accommodate your level. Make sure to bring plenty of water.

I love the Blue Hills. As a Boston resident, the Skyline trail at BH provides a nice challenging alternative to driving the distance to NH for more challenging hikes. I disagree that this is a moderate hike because the terrain is very rocky, one needs to be prepared to climb and descend jagged stairs at regular intervals on this trail. I would recommend bringing a Gatorade (or similar drink) because depending on where you end your hike, you are walking 9 to 11miles. I also recommend an early start (especially during the warmer months of the year).

I completed this hike by myself in 5 hours (from Quincy to Trailside Museum off 138) and in 6 hours when accompanied by a friend who is fit but is not a hiker.

Wide variety of paths and difficulty for both hiking, trail running and mountain biking. It can be easy to get lost, so be prepared with a trail map if you veer off main loop.

Beautiful and varied terrain. Only got a chance to wander for a bit, but this is definitely a place I want to return to and explore some more.

World's End is beautiful! Yes it costs $6 pp if you're not a member. It costs money to maintain green space. They just moved the gate this summer, so they are working out some logistics... the gate used to be at the entrance but the locals complained. Lovely spot for all - young and old, 2 and 4 legs. Views of Boston. You can get more than 3 miles if you take some of the side trails. Don't miss the Rocky area.

Lovely hike!

great trail that connects to the green dot trail if you want an easier hike.

Well marked trails. Not really hiking yet not really a simple flat walk. I would say it’s on the high end of easy to the very low end of moderate. It was very nice but I have similar walks closer to my home so I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to go again.

grab a map at the entrance or download off the web for Lynn woods. trails are all marked with grid numbers and letters. A lot to explore if you use the grid. watch out for special surprises on the trails from ignorant dog owners, as will as some coyotes. Deer do come out on the day, keep your eyes open.

Who chargers people for a walk?

This is not a moderate trail- the skyline trail as listed above is hard- it’s a long grueling walk from Quincy to the Blue Hill and back. Easily could consume a whole day- I’d advise starting before 9 if you plan to do the entire loop

A ton of stairs, jagged walkways, and numerous spurts of scrambling make doing this entire hike a pretty big challenge.

A bunch of great views- the best of which in my opinion all come from Buck Hill in the middle.

Great trail. The Skyline is a great quick trail for a weekend morning. We had a lovely day and it’s very clean despite the traffic. We did half the skyline trail for a 2 hour hike.

I love the upper pond is nice peaceful hiking

I definitely enjoyed hiking here. lots of nice trails to explore

Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy, the views of the Boston skyline are pretty amazing and I’m pretty sure its safe to swim in some parts. The only downside is it’s not free

Fun for kids!

If you feel as though you aren’t seeing marks on the trees, don’t worry, keep looking...especially if you see many fallen trees around!

You can easily spend the entire day on this trail. Many difficult slopes and interconnecting trails. I cast my vote to categorize this trail as 'Hard'.

This is a good easy going trail in the area. Pearce Lake in particular is very scenic especially for sunset in the evening. The upper pond is good for swimming. The whole loop will give you a solid workout and the paved road is a nice touch making it good for family with strollers as well.

This is a scenic and well-marked trail but unfortunately I had to turn back as I was swarmed by bugs despite multiple applications of 30% deet bug spray. Will return in a cooler, less buggy season.

Nice hike for the full day, very rocky indeed! We liked the view of Boston skyline at the top of the hills. We saw a really big snake, a deer, and on our way back heard some other animal roar and just ran along the trail to get away from that spot ASAP:) it was getting darker though, so I guess that’s why animals were coming closer with almost no people on the trail. So definitely a great trail, but better go in the morning-early afternoon to get back before dark.

Flat trail, nothing special. Wouldn’t go here unless you live really close to it. There are better trails around.
