Maybe it was the heat, but this felt like more work than it should have. Some nice views on this trail.

This is a great family hike. Easy and beautiful views from the top. Great for all ages

Nice little hike. The green trail was a little too steep for the two 10 year old boys we had with us, but the rest of the hike was nice.

great little hike! my pup loved it! we saw about 8 deer cross the road as we pulled into the trailhead - so majestic! not a steep trail by any means, definitely on the easier side. the view from the summit was pretty obstructed with trees. still enjoyed it! would be wonderful for beginners! we took old mt tom trail but would like to try west ridge trail next time.

Excellent hike with a spectacular view from many spots. Some sort of large bird nest near the summit and saw two large white tail deer near the top. LOVED this hike!

This hike was SO much fun! Loved the scramble at some points.

This was a beautiful trail with two ways to the base of the mountain. It has a sweet spot by a pond with picnic tables for lunch. You can walk across the top of the mountain for more great views. This was an awesome hike.

Great views! Great foliage in the Fall!

We did this one in the fall as well, and it really is more easy than moderate. Snowshoes weren’t really necessary, because it is a snowmobile trail, and nicely packed. A couple of snowmobiles went by as we hiked, we simply stepped to the side and let them pass. I personally did not feel this took away from the hike in anyway. It is nearly mid March so the snow was on the softer side. I would recommend crampons, or any sort of traction device for the push up near the summit, it is not steep really, but still for safety, a good idea.

The South Face Loop is VERY challenging in snow shoes for a newbie!
I will return!

Sad to say we lost the trail log container at the summit to the recent wind storm. It now lays on the ground near its original location. The booklet is now exposed to the rain. If someone would like to bring some tools and a new notebook to place the container on a new tree then that would be great.

Took about 45 minutes to do! Short and sweet walk with decent views at the top. Very easy trail.

Nice, but people hunt here.

Great trails, well marked and met a couple other hikers that were very friendly. Our lakeland terrier enjoyed the steeper climbs and meeting others dogs. Beautiful views from the peak.

Following GPS was able to see trail sign near the woods. Beautiful fall colored, near panoramic views at top, followed by a nice sunset. No complaints.

Great hike! Bob Chase trail is great for kids and takes you to the summit. Pretty views. We did South face loop trail first. Which was a moderate hike and probably tough for little kids. Many trails to pick from. We will definitely be back.

Great hike! Poorly marked. Make sure once at the top you don’t miss the panoramic views to the right. It’s confusing because once you get to the peak, you see a small view which is straight ahead. If you look to the right, there’s a narrow path. Be sure to take that path. Breathtaking views await you. There’s even a rock bench to sit and take in the beauty. Views of Lovell Pond, Mt. Washington, Eastern Slopes airport and so much more.

Great hike not too far from Monson. Starts easy on a gravel road with plenty of switchbacks. There are cutoffs if you don't want to do the switchbacks. Once you get past the ponds, the trail gets steeper. Fun scrambles near the false summit. Moderate to heavy traffic. Amazing views at the top.

A lot of fun doing this trail hiking

Though the trail has been logged nearby it is well marked if you follow signs and orange plastic ties on trees show which way to go in the lugged areas. An orange tie on a tree with rocks at the bottom of the tree is the marker for the final turn up the small mountain. At The cairn at the top go right for northern views and the stone bench. Then retrace steps to cairn, descend a bit on the trail and go in the other direction on the ridge through grassy areas with cairns indicating the trail for the true summit. This has gorgeous views of Kezar Lake, mt. Sabattus behind it and Brownfield Bog. Worthy shorter hike with great views that was empty on a Saturday afternoon in September. Park in lot before bridge over Little Saco River and cross road to trail with a gate you step over. Good apples for sale at a farm at beginning of farnsworth road by 113.

The hardest part of this trail, was the trail markings. Apart from that, a huge payoff for a real easy hike. A bit of a scramble near the top, but really at the very top, and only a couple of hundred yards. Big time view for a peak under 800 ft, great family hike

Great trail run! My 12 year old dog loved it. Well maintained and marked. Nice views too.

be aware that this trail is NOT well marked! there is a parking lot and sign for peary mtn, but the start of the trail is across the street. we ended up on the wrong trail initially, but thankfully someone posted here that the trail does indeed start across the street. keep your eyes peeled throughout the trail for arrows, signs and ribbons pointing you to the right trail as it gets confusing as to which trail is a logging trail and which is the hiking trail. beautiful view at the top! great for all skill levels if you take your time. happy trails!

Easy enough. Nice uphill. No real views.

Do to logging the trail is in need of markings as the trail is difficult to follow. The view is very good and merits the hike.

This little hill has been in my pictures dozens of times from lovewell pond. The other day decided to finally walk up it. Was a nice little hike.

After being bummed out by Bond Mountain a friend and I decided to drive 5 minutes down the road to hike Knox Mountain. The trails were already much better; clearly following a snowmobile trail and not as rocky and UNEVEN. There are a couple parts that have a lot of routes so watch your step. We FINALLY made it to the top. Okay views. Defiently moderate. We were dead by the time we reached the top with my dog (her first 2 mountains she's hiked with us).

trail is a mess from logging, but don't let that deter you. view at the top is worth it!

Wonderful views. Pretty steep for small mountain. Good quick hike. My three-year-old made it to the top.
