Great swim spot. Love going behind the falls and sliding out on the rock.

Beautiful !!!

I primarily use the Creeper for trail running, but have biked and even gone swimming in some great swimming holes along the trail. The Virginia Creeper is gorgeous, and offers a variety of great views no matter which section you are on. I love the farms and trestles on the Abingdon section the most.

This waterfall was cool but the other two further down are way better!

Nice area to camp, hiking was easy. Trail around lake (Panther) was not maintained, ended up on road.

This hike is easy. To see the falls from the bottom, go just a little way down past the over look view. Come back out and over the bridge up to Triple Falls is very much uphill but worth it. precede on up to the High Falls Loop, 2 miles. the loop is easy after passing Triple Falls. Go past the visitor center sign in the middle of the loop, turn left on the road to the covered bridge . Trail back to the remaining part of High Falls loop, then back to Hookers Falls parking. All a little over 4 miles. yes some uphill but it is worth it.

Always overcrowded and shouldn’t even be considered a “hike” haha

Easy hike. The other two falls have inclines so it’s a workout on those.

Nice walk, lots of nature.

Beautiful water and falls

Not really a hiking trail, more paths for walking than to hike. Not maintained at all, just a short loop by a lake.

Just biked from White Top, down to Damascus, was very new to biking a trail. I had a super fun day of biking, Our trail was about 17 miles downhill, the views were beautiful and the rental place we used was phenomenal, awesome trek, would do it again!

Was an easy trail for a newbie to start on!

A nice trail to ride horses on.
I recommend riding during Winter months and on weekdays, because of the heavy traffic of bikes.

Easy double loop, Burnt Mountain has no views but a pleasant walk in the woods. Lots of Mountain bikers. The Cedar Rock segment has some great views and lovely exposed rock sections. You can shorten this loop a little. Done this many times in all seasons. Great winter hike if you live in the area

Very nice part of the TRT. I started at Spooner Summit and went south. Adding the Kingsbury North to Kingsbury South connector on at the end was a large task due to the incline and by that point my energy had been spent. I took the time to go to the peak of Genoa and also climb around Castle Rock for a great overlook of South Lake Tahoe.

Hooker Falls Trail leads to a popular swimming area at the base of the falls and is only minutes from the parking lot. The parking lot is unimproved dirt and is medium sized so it fills quickly. (I was almost the first car in the lot when I got there and after hiking Hooker-Triple-High Falls the lot was packed and cars lined both sides of the road.) Hooker Falls is really just a first stop before doubling back and heading up to Triple Falls and High Falls, which are really the main attractions.

I’ve biked this beautiful trail many times, some going up from Damascus to White Top and back, but most just down after taking the shuttle up. When taking visitors to this region, most say it’s the highlight of their visit. Even on the hottest summer day, at altitude, you’ll encounter a comfortable shaded cooler trek down, so bring a windbreaker. Lots of photo opportunities on the rocky stream. Enjoy!!

Hiked this trail solo in 12 days. Easier than the JMT, but with the heavy snow year in 2017, navigation was a bit challenging in the snow. Resupplied once by Echó Lake Summit. This trail is a great introduction to thru-hiking.

short walk, nice small falls, good place for swimming and kids. lots of people there on a hot summer day because of easy access and short walk to parking.

Nice easy hike that leads to a really cool swimming hole. Unfortunately got caught in the rain, but would normally be an awesome spot to hangout!

We biked Damascus up to White Top. Took us about 3 hours. The last 3 miles kicked our butts but felt so good to get to the top. We started at mile marker 17 and ended at 33 I believe. The ride down to was a crazy!!!!! Fun but crazy. We were down in about 1 hour. The bridges and views are awesome. The next day we started at trail head in Abingdon and went to Damascus and back. Again the bridges and views were amazing. So in about 31 hours we did about 65 miles. This is an awesome experience. Pack plenty of water and healthy snacks. Not much along the way to get those essentials.

Awesome hike! Beautiful and easy! My husband, 3 year old son, and I completed this trail. Well worth the drive.

One of the best swimming holes around!

the 7 mile hike up to lake view was amazing. Fun day hike, a lot of bees at the top though. will hike further next round

When I did Whitetopto Damascus I thought I was in biking heaven then I found the open glades and varied terrain of the leg from Abingdon to Damascus. Much more open and still follows rushing waters and trestles galore. Dont miss scenic trestle 7 and the long ride over trestle 12. Wide open spaces , Rock walled forest trails and dense forest trails to hide from the sun a perfect mix. If you're planning your stay investigate rooms along the trail maybe even bikepack it. Have fun don't miss this one.

love this trail. plan a stop at Alvaro for some desserts!!
