cougar was sighted at base of grizzly drive after an evening hike. other than that trails are in great shape and the creek is running.

I loved this hike. We parked at the Rainbow Trailhead and hiked to the Reservoir from there (which I highly recommend). We ended up not going the full way around Rampart Reservoir, but still worth it. No real steep inclines. Fairly easy hike both ways.

We loved this hike! The different terrain types ranging from the deep forest feel to the open, arid desert parts. It sprinkled briefly on our way back but didn’t ruin the experience. We also took the quick out and back on the scenic view trail to have some lunch and enjoy the views. The hike’s difficulty is accurate.

The trails don’t have great signage and sometimes your not sure if the road your on is where you should be. I suggest if your going by yourself make sure you tell someone where your riding and make time for wrong turns. The climbs can be difficult at times depending on the erosion or root situation. All in all I love these trails. Lots of long climbs and equally Long descent. Wildlife can also be surprising. Lions, tigers, foxes, coyote, deer elk and bears to start with.

Really nice easy ride. Happy people and Festival Park is beautiful!

short, goes through subdivision. pretty flat.

This trial was a lot more difficult to navigate than I has expected so it recommend downloading the map! Will do next time. Very nice single track, not technical. There are a lot of up and down sections so it was a good workout!

Loved it! Beautiful views fun flowy single track. Some small fun rocky sections, one semi-hard one (w/option to bypass). I’m a flat pedaler/more of a downhill guy, so some of the climbs were killing me (lung-wise) and a little technical. Did the full outer 9miles, finished after dark. Can’t wait to do it again!!

Really enjoyed this hike the views where absolutely stunning!

Good local trail. Cool view of Denver! A little harder than I thought it would be.

Saw 2 deer, 1 rattle snake and either a bobcat or lynx last night. Be vigilant.

Very pretty hike. Not very hard at all. Note for dog owners - there is no stream or waterfall this time of year. Do not plan on any water for the pets on the trail. Bring plenty for them with this heat. Good hike, good views - nice and close to town.

Great loop trail. Largely shaded, with minimal traffic. Mostly bikers coming through. Easy incline.

Hiked this trail in the evening, and we had the whole trail to us. Since it’s so close to the city, this one is totally doable at any time in the day. Took my not-so-athletic dog with us and he had no problems hiking the whole thing. Decent amount of shade throughout the trail that protected us from the rains in the evening. Great views of the city once you reach the Plymouth Mountain trail.

Beautiful and challenging trail!

This hike was worth while. Although there is not a look out, I still can appreciate the beauty of this trail. I carried my 30 pound toddler and would NOT do it again. It was very tough as this trail goes up and down, up and down. If you are thinking of hiking in this area, I would hike Mt. Herman Peak instead! Here you at least get a look out. It’s not as long, and it’s worth more the pain than this trail.

Hiked this morning and it was pretty good! Restrooms at the beginning of the trailhead were clean and the trail was not very crowded which was nice! There are a good amount of bikes but everyone was super nice. As far as seeing wildlife we saw one mouse (lol) and some deer on our last three miles out. The trail is very well maintained and definitely a Moderate degree of difficulty. I highly recommend you have a GPS map of the trail as it was a little confusing on how to get back to the parking lot.

Good long hike, we saw butterflies a lot of meadows and gorgeous views! There were some “where am I” times but when in doubt just walk down hill.

Didn’t have a chance to hike it. Mountain lion reported on trail in the middle of the day!

Gorgeous trail and extremely well maintained. The views throughout the hike make every step worthwhile. In my opinion, there isn't much of a point to do the loop without heading to the summit. It's only an additional two miles, out and back, and isn't very steep at all. The view at the peak is one of the best around, so make sure you pack a bit more water and a snack for the peak before you head back down. People complain about the mountain bikers, which is absolutely redundant as the trail is meant to be shared for hikers, bikers, and runners alike. The complaint about the highway noise also falls under the same redundant category. Hardly an issue and definitely not a reason to second guess this trail. Awesome workout, awesome views, and a consistent grade all the way up with plenty of level areas to catch your breath. Just get out and do it.

This trail goes way farther than that. The problem is that there is a missing part of the trail close to Titan however I parked close to Lucent and took the high line canal all the way to Hampdem (285) is about 21 mile one way. All gravel, super well kept, couple nice bathrooms with drinking water available and a lot of shade from the old cottonwood trees. Love it!

Great. Pretty Riparian land and happy people.

Loved the trail, nice balance of open park and shaded trails.

First time up to Rampart and it wont be my last! Started from Rainbow Gulch and walked clockwise. The trail was easy to follow but it did get pretty tight in some spots. There is a good bit of shade overall but some areas are full sun. The parking lot at the dam gets very hot, if hiking with dogs and crossing the dam keep an eye on their feet. Take lots of water and snacks and enjoy the beautiful views!

Gorgeous hike but if you plan on going in the near future leave early or wear good sun protection as it was very warm. My pup and I had a lot of fun and the scenery was just beautiful. I was warned that the Bear traffic was high right now and that they had cubs. The same with the Elk but we did luckily not encounter any as I would not like to interrupt a new Mommy that is out and about.

Beautiful trail with flowers, views and the right amount of challenge. Get there early on weekends. Many trail runners, bikers and hikers.
