Mountain Biking Map

This made for a beautiful sunset hike. We only saw one other person. It was magical 360degrees around

I enjoyed this hike. It is really exposed so it’s hot...make sure you bring lots of water.

beautiful trail. long, but not terribly difficult. I've hiked it several times, including the full loop. It's a popular hike, maybe the most popular on the Mesa. Got caught in a thunderstorm once up top, which wasn't entirely pleasant. Check the weather before you go! If you can, go in the fall - the aspens are lovely.

Would be great MTB

So stunning. What a treat. The bugs are only a problem if you slow down!

Just got done hiking the full loop at 2pm. This was such a beautiful hike! We came prepared with 2L + of water and snap towels to keep us cool and snacks. Even though it was in the middle of the day, we were prepared and we loved it!

The trail was marked with Cairns and very easy to follow.

Great morning hike. Beautiful views & close to home

We loved it!

did the entire loop and the overlooks and it was 6 miles. except for the over looks I saw 2 other people, this was a very isolated hike. the beauty was stunning! so worth it if you are on fence. took 3 hours, bring a gallon of water, not much shade but there is more on the west rim side. I saw 2 very large black ear jack rabbits close by on the west side. they did run away but I was able to watch them for 200 ft, beautiful!

Beautiful views of the wildflowers and lakes. I’d rate it as moderate. The bugs weren’t too bad today.

Beautiful views!!! Should bring mosquito repellent.

Great views and a fun hike, but I did this hike in the heat of the day. Faced with the same situation again I would do a short hike near the visitors center and another one at the main overlook. You wouldn’t be sacrificing any views and it would be worth it to avoid the heat.

Beautiful hike. The lower rim is closed through the end of the year, so no loop option. However, just over 3 miles will get you to the beginning of the Crest, and it's amazing. You can continue along the Crest for an additional 3 miles before the path is closed. The mosquitoes are extremely heavy. Bring bug spray.

Lower crag crest trail is closed but hiked to the top area, very beautiful!

Very nice hike...the east rim part of the loop is more crowded, shorter and more scenic than the west rim section. Make sure to pack enough water.

lower route was closed. love the view

Well-maintained trail. Heavily used but OK. Awesome views.

Great hike. I skipped the last mile. I’d recommend people treat it as a 2 mile up and back and try to do it in under 2 hours. The first half mile is the only hard bit and it’s not bad. If you do that part late enough in the day it’ll be in the shade. Unfortunately the actual valley part is usually in the sun since the valley isn’t too deep. Great views.

Really great views throughout the whole hike. The side trails to viewpoints are well worth it. We saw almost no one on trail once we got away from the visitors center. Bring lots of sunscreen!

The hick was awesome. Be warned: when you come to lower part of the loop there is a logger road that cut through the trail. Finding the trail again is a bit tricky. We missed it and it added 4 miles to our hick. My kids was not impressed :/ come to find out that the trail picks up just before the bridge. It’s the only one there so if you cross it you’ve missed it. Other then the poor trail markers this hick was great. Definitely one of my favs.

very nice hike, met a mid 80's lady hiking with her dog on the upper east crest edge. Very Motivational!
great views, a little windy on the crest.
11 miles maxed out my fitness level.

Great trail! All clear of snow. Lower loop closed due to logging so recommend doing it as out and back on the upper loop. Amazing views

Lots of bug and not much wildlife unless you count the young man with his female companion and the dog that appeared to be a part Bulldog and Border Collie

Great ride to introduce my 8yr old to desert mountain biking. Very gradual climb all the way to the top with a few steep sections but manageable for him. Down hill was great with harder lines for the more experienced and easier lines for the for those him. Great time. Will hit it again.

Amazing views and easy hike! Highly recommend!

Nice hike for a view of the city below. Only saw 3 other people on the entire trail. Perhaps it was because we went at the hottest part of the day. (Not the smartest idea.) Easy hike along the rim.

I loved this hike. As others have said, it is steep at first and then a nice easy walk through the beautiful Hidden Valley. At the far end of the valley you have a choice – you can head up to the right through the rocks to get a very cool view of the entire valley (see posted pic) or you can continue straight and meet up with the Moab Rim Trail. I did both. Once at the Rim Trail, rather than heading left towards the Colorado River I went right towards the dead end/overlook. What an amazing view of the entire Moab valley. It was only about an additional mile and well worth it. Panorama posted.

Super steep to start, but if you can stick with it, the valley at the top is awesome. Not much shade. This was a great, lightly trafficked trail, off the beaten path in Moab.

Ein sehr schöner Trail mit wunderschöner Flora und interessanten Aussichten. Selbst für Kinder geeignet. Wir haben gemütlich 3, 5 h gebraucht.
