There were so many beautiful views. Heard some picas in the rocks near Snow lake. Saw a grouse. The lakes are so clear you can see fish swimming in them. Not too many bugs (except on the water). It can get busy on weekends—early morning exploration avoids the crowds. Good for exercise—it can get your heart pumping on the inclines.

Fun hike, lots of Marmots, lakes were beautiful, views of Mount Rainier we’re kind of obscured by smoke.

Good incline and overall hike, but very smokey so you can’t see anything. Also half of the trail is all rocks and not very scenic. Not my favourite hike but had to check it out because of all the raving reviews.

Did this hike about a month ago... I’m pretty out of shape and I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to complete this trail, but to my surprise I did it! It wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be... it was a little rough and strenuous at some points, but the views made it worth it and were enough motivation to keep going! So far, this has been my favorite hike I’ve ever been on. It was very cloudy once we got to the fire lookout so unfortunately, we didn’t get much of a view from there but we had amazing views the whole way up! One tip I will provide is WEAR SUNSCREEN! There is hardly any shade throughout the entire trail so you’re directly exposed to the sun most of the time. I had sunscreen on my arms and face but started getting hot during the hike so I took my shirt off and hiked in a sports bra most of the way and forgot to put sunscreen on my shoulders & chest and then went home with a terrible sunburn and left me miserable for almost a week after.

Expansive trail that’s a slow incline. Pretty east and a variety of views. Was smoky so I couldn’t see the view at the ranger station. Super excited to go back and check it out when it’s more clear

Brilliant heavy trafficked trail, but can't beat it for a top tourist destination. I suggest doing a loop up skyline, then down pebble creek and then then on the trail to the far right trail bordering the river. The meadows are awesome. I finished on the waterfall trail to add some mileage.

A bit smoky but still enough visibility to be amazing even with Rainier hiding in the clouds. Half mile near the top is really exposed to the wind so dress accordingly. Had the mountain been out, would have done Burrough's too. A good variety of wildlife along the way.

This trail was beautiful! It starts out on a paved path with an immediate incline and the incline just goes up and up and up and up.

Started at 7:45 hardly anyone around, but people traffic picked up quick! Parking lot was full when we left. The meadow views were so beautiful! Saw several deer, lots of chipmunks and a few marmots! Well maintained trail.

Overall great not too harsh kid friendly and pretty good views for a smaller hike. Take the time to relax and see both lakes it’s worth it

Giving the hike 4 stars only because the fire smoke killed the vibe. I will definitely be back to try this again when air clears! I kicked off my hike at 615a this morning, empty lot, I could see Mt Rainier, the skyline, and the stars! It was quiet and peaceful, was 1 of 6 people heading up. 1.5hr in, the smoke took over everything. Going down I was very annoyed by several hiking groups blaring hiphop music by speaker, feeding wildlife, and not many with masks. I did not find this hike difficult, more so moderate. And of course seeing quite a few hoary marmots!
