Great hike.. beautiful views! Thank you Jah. The reviews make it sound much worse (as far as the road goes). 10-15-18

beautiful hike. My friend and I went and we were the only ones on the trail, so peaceful.

10/15- Beautiful hike! Definitely some elevation gain, but the views are worth it. :) We did not encounter bugs, and the trail was not crowded. Autumn seems like the perfect time to hike the trail! The drive to the trailhead was a little rough; it adds a good amount of time to the commute.

This was a beautiful hike but definitely difficult. If you’re not a frequent exerciser in great shape, I’d say try something else. The incline was pretty intense with not a lot of flat area breaks. Not sure I’d say the view at the top was worth it but it was nice to look at.

One of my favorite hikes! Amazing reward for little work. Views all the way up are incredible and if you are lucky enough to have a really clear day, you can see Mount Adams and Mount Hood from the top! The trail is pretty rocky so good shoes are recommended, but the incline is not bad at all. No snow on the trail as of 10/14 but it was definitely cold so be prepared.

I have done this hike on day. Which was very pretty but to capture the beauty one must go at sunrise. We ventured to mountain at 4 am arrived Park 5:45 and headed off we got to lookout probably 45 min to hour. It was very windy and cold when arrived lookout. We stayed up there till sunrise about 7:15 and headed down.

The stars were amazing, my rainier in the shadows was absolutely stunning of course we could not capture those pics with iPhone. Then the sunrise was stunning as it came up the reflection hitting Rainier was stunning!

I would hike to see the sunrise every year here. There was no clouds in

Great for a day hike. Views are rewarding. Fairly easy along the route. The lookout itself is at the end of the hike and looks nice from the ridge half a mile before the end of the hike. Amazing views of mount Rainier and a couple of its glaciers.

nice view all the way to the peak. Luckily see a black bear at the 15 minutes walk.

So so gorgeous ! But if you hate incline almost 97% of the way than this will not be your best friend lol but it’s so worth it and peaceful at the top! Beautiful sunny day!

One of the best! Start getting into the snow near the top of comet falls, before Van Trump trail.

Loved this hike! Watched a proposal on top- the weather was amazing, view was great, go do it. Bring $30 cash or you will get a ticket. Good tires recommended as you must drive on a long and bumpy dirt road.

This hike was amazing, the views we had of Mt Rainier were incredible. We started the hike around 7:30am, It is essentially just walking up 3 big hills. The weather was great, sunny with a few clouds near Rainier which moved away. The first two mountains we easy and direct, when we got to the bottom of the second there was a sign pointing left for Burroughs trail and right to frozen lake, it confused us a bit because we wanted to do the third burrough mountain so we just continued on up the third one, It did look a bit daunting but the views on the third mountain are the best! It took use about 3 hours out and back, we stopped a bit for pictures and to snack a bit. I recommend hiking early, there seemed to be allot of people starting their hikes at 10am-11 and this is when the clouds seemed to role in so they might of missed their chance for a good view. On the way back we saw a pack of mountain goats, and TONS of chipmunks.

Beautiful hike!

Amazing views but seemed a little more difficult than a medium as most of the trail was uphill. Great payoff though.

The views were incredible! Different lakes, a lot of fall colors and a view on Mount Rainier even if it was cloudy.
The road to get there is pretty difficult : gravel road and a lot of potholes for about an hour.

Great hike though an ancient forest, we seen some very cool Red Cedar and Hemlocks. Great pic spot ant the suspension bridge.

Amazing view!

Amazing hike. Only went to the second Burroughs but still totally worth it. Did the hike on 9/29 and even though the weather in Seattle was warm (low 70s) it was pretty chilly on the hike (low 50s). Also, I’m used to East Coast, low altitude hiking and even though I could feel a difference because of the altitude, it wasn’t too bad.

To quote someone we met at the top of the trail, “This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.”

Loved this so much. Great for young kids. Tip: bring a flashlight for kids so they can explore inside the logs.

Amazing hike! I left set off on the trail around 7am on a friday and didn't see anyone until I was on my way down.

The views were amazing and even with the fog, the view would partially reveal itself every once in a while.

Have fun!

Super easy trail, I love the bouncy bridge.
Absolutely beautiful location, was a bit crowded.

Sunny day; autumn colors; brilliant blue sky; could not have been better. Clear views of Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier (of course) and Mt. Hood from Plummer Peak. So much nicer hiking here rather than the rat race at Paradise.

Great hike! Very pretty and great views of Rainier and the area. Trail is on the side of the mountain.
Easy hike.

Amazing hike! Wonderful views saw some goats on the way up.

This was one of the best hikes I have done. This was 2nd time doing it. The first time we ended at 2nd Burrough fog was heavy so we couldn’t see anything. This past weekend the sun was out and shinning. I decided to take my friend the opposite way. So we started on rim trail and ended frozen lake trail. It was steeper going up, but easier coming down, when we reached 2nd Burrough since sun was out. Loads were rolling in we decided to start to head to 3rd Burrough. We asked people coming down they said was worth the hike. When we got to the top it was amazing! There were clouds on top portion of rainier but still amazing. As we enjoyed lunch the clouds started to move and give us glimpses of the top of rainier. Absolutely amazing! Worth it on a clear day. We saw 1 squirrel is all! Was looking for goats but did not see any on Saturday.

love love loved this hike. I am active and prepared... those that are sight seeing this hike is harder. I did do this one with my 12 yr old son. views all the way along the trail. a lot uphill. well maintained trail though. fall colors spurt out through the entire hike! so much to see! overall, loved this hike more than any of the 7 mini and I have done this year!

Beautiful. Just long enough for a short family hike. Easy as far as terrain and trail with a mild uphill. Water is blue and gorgeous. Definitely a do again I Warner weather when you can dip into water.
