Good uphill climb to a spectacular view, if you are not blanketed in cloud cover like we were. Trail is very busy after 11am. No bugs, temp was perfect and trail is in great condition. Beautiful green valleys On both sides of trails, herd of mountain goats as you begin the climb and snow patches, but not on the trail. Many parts of the trail you are walking in rocky shale. I would do it again and hope to see whole mountain next time.

Finished it today with two 4-yr olds with no issues. A beautiful trail that is not flat and can be narrow in places, yet easy enough for the little ones. Besides Little Tipsoo Lake which is where the trail starts, it offers several smaller lakes along the trail and some beautiful spots to rest and chill. Gorgeous scenery along the whole length of it, and if you’re lucky to have a clear day and a view of Mt. Rainier, I can only imagine how beautiful it is. FYI, my app reported 4.8 miles rather than 3.3.

The trail is ok, just pay attention to those tree roots and the loose shale! The wildflowers are going crazy, and the falls were spectacular!

Beautiful and easy trail.

A great trail with beautiful views! A steady incline almost the entire way up but it’s short enough that it’s do-able. My friend & I took our 9 & 15 month boys. Not for toddlers but older kids would love it.

Did this hike on 7-5-19. Pretty busy hike as expected. Be ready to climb. Amazing views when the mountain is out. We had mostly clouds and fog on this day, but did get a glimpse of her now and then. Still a beautiful hike regardless of the weather.

Hiked this on July 6th. Really enjoyed this trail. There was quite a bit of up and down throughout the hike which made for a good workout As well, there were some nice parts of the trail that went through the meadows that were beginning to see some wildflowers blooming. I’d say they’d be in full bloom in a couple weeks. The color of Snow Lake was a beautiful emerald green. Enjoyed the view from both sides, but was nicer when taking the trail to the left towards the campground. Read that bugs were bad but didn’t really experience that on our hike.

We enjoyed this trail and how we could get up close to both Mowich Lake and Eunice Lake. The wild flowers were beautiful in a certain spot of the incline to the fire tower. It was cloudy day and only saw bits and pieces of Mt Rainier. A little disappointed but the lakes made up for it.

Visited on July 9. No snow but some mosquitos and other bugs, but not terrible. Clear trail with some steep up and down grades with a beautiful meadow about .3 miles from the trailhead. We walked about .5 miles to a great view overlooking the valley below and Bench Lake. From there the trail is all downhill all the way to Snow Lake.

7-4-19 afternoon hike. Perfect conditions pretty much had the trail to myself. Decent views of rainier and the view at the lakes is peaceful. Ok the way back I went to the tent sites and you get pretty sweet views of the lakes from over there. Easy to moderate hike.

7-4-19 hike, absolutely perfect weather conditions could see mt rainier and the cascades for miles. One of my favorite hikes, it’s a bit crowded but the views are stunning. Trail is well marked and wide at the beginning gets a bit rough past frozen lake. The 360 panoramic views at the fire view house are incredible 10-10 hike and must do in rainier!

Beautiful views of Rainer and four or five Glaciers. Tons of mountain goats. Very scenic and high up.

One of my favorite hikes in mount Rainier! The last mile is a steep gain in elevation and the view at the top is stunning. A must do beginner hike!! Mostly crowded to try to start early in the day. Make sure to go on a clear day as the view is totally dependent on that!!

Amazing time hiking this trail. For the first 2 miles it’s pretty much a flat walk to the path that leads to the water. Once you turn off onto the trail that leads you down to the water fall it can become a little steep. Great hike for kids over 8, unless you wanna carry them back up the steep trail ;). A little slippery due to mud from where it has rained but not too bad. Once you get too the upper part of the falls you are able to go down and take some amazing pictures and even walk behind the falls. My oldest really loved it. You are able to take dogs and are recommended they stay on the leash. Lots of people no matter what time you go. Will definitely do this one again. You can go see the other two water falls that is further down the trail but it does get steeper the further you go. Really leg burner.

Awesome hike with some decent elevation. This was my second time in this trail and unfortunately I wasn't able to see the amazing view from the lookout due to the foggy/overcast weather. We arrived around 10am and were able to park on the road somewhat close to the trailhead. The road was well maintained and had no issues in a Subaru Impreza. The trail was clear and easy to follow all the way to the lake and the lookout. There were quite a lot of people on the trail, but if you decide to go earlier in the morning you should be able to beat the crowds. Overall this hike is a must for Rainier National Forest. Just make sure you check the weather and plan for a clear day. You won't be disappointed!

Did this hike with my baby on my back and was a great work out. So many breath taking views even for an overcast day. Eunice lake is gorgeous and the wild flowers leading up to Tolmie Peak lookout were stunning. I thought the road up to the parking area was only a little bumpy but fine for my car. Only a couple spots on the trail where there was a little mud, other then that the trails were great. Saw a bear as we were going back to our car also.

Easy walk in. A bit steep going down to the lower falls which made a good hike out. We missed the upper falls. The trail was well marked to the lower falls. We stumbled upon the middle falls. Saw some fresh bear scat but no bears. The falls were gorgeous. The trail was busy as we were coming out around 9:30 Am. When you make the left off of Hwy 7 you will turn into UW’s Mt. Rainier Institute which surprised us. There was an outhouse at the parking lot- but It was nasty!
