My favorite trail at Montgomery Bell. Woods, creek, lakeside, a little bit of grassy openness. Great for beginners but not boring for experienced hikers. Trail is well maintained and well marked. Options to lengthen it are several and varied. I've hiked this in all seasons and I never seem to tire of it!

Good trail, even if parts seem like a 4-wheeler trail more than a hiking path. A lot of spider webs, but that’s not really a huge deal. Had some washout and some off trail possibilities especially near the end where we accidentally ended up on a unmarked trail because the map seemed off slightly. Had a few bridges out but they didn’t matter really. Kinda rocky and knobby. Good fun though.

Thanks to the people who mentioned the spiderwebs

This is a great overall hike. Plenty of elevation change and variety for the average hiker. Quite a few creek crossings, scenic lake view, but most of the hike is shaded and in the trees. Not the most beautiful hike, but a decent challenge. Took us 3 hours with several stops, early July so plenty of bugs, ticks and spiders, but that’s too be expected this time of year. Trail is well maintained and marked.

Good trail for kids. Short and sweet.

A friend of mine told me this trail was hard and talked the park up. Sadly he set an expectation the park and trail didn't live up to. Maybe it's the season I went. I was hoping for harder and more isolated. Trail seems well traveled and marked for that part of it. Not much to see but trees in what I did. A couple of creek crossings, but nothing waterproof shoes couldn't handle. I'll go back at some point to complete the park, but it'll likely be in winter so I can move faster through it.

Nice hike with a great view following along lake!

This is a great 6 mile trail! The trail is very peaceful as we did not encounter many people. Not a ton of see other than 2 lakes, a few creek crossings, and a couple of decent views along the way. The only section we did not like is the stretch along the golf course (east side of the trail), it more more of an access point for small vehicles than it was a trail.

Nice trail. Well-maintained. I’m not sure why all the reviews are saying you can get lost. If you get lost you’re just not paying attention. Hardly ever are you not in sight of at least one blaze. Yes, some of the trails overlap just follow the right color blaze. The only reason it did not get five stars is lack of wildlife at least when I was there. And no really great scenery. But it was a good workout elevation gain was over 3000 feet for the whole loop

Solid single and double track for us here in middle TN. Plenty of water crossings especially when it’s wet and depending on which bridges are operational. I really enjoyed it...

Was a perfect hike for me and my 2 boys! Good trail!

great trail for the whole family to enjoy.

Easy for trail running with only around 1000 elevation. Trail does get confusing toward the end.

Nice park and moderate hike! We hiked Wildcat to MB trail to Creech Hollow. We stopped and fished at Creech Hollow Lake then hiked another mile or so and set up camp at Woodland Shelter. Neat set up with the shelter. We hung our hammocks up in the rafters and stayed dry and warm. We hiked out past Woodhaven Lake where we fished some more before completing the loop from Spill Way trail to MB then Wildcat. We ate the buffet at the Inn there inside the park. Highly recommended trip!

Nice trail, well laid out, done by the boy scouts. Nice nature walk with signage.

Beautiful scenery. I loved the children's storybook plaques along the trail describing the leaves during the changing seasons. I also like the leave no trace principles posted along the trail. Great place to take young children to teach them about nature.

Fun trail. I went clockwise and got lost pretty early on and agree that signage could improve a little. I cant wait to go back. I enjoyed the diverse ecosystems that you get to experience throughout the run.
