It’s alright, as someone mentioned before it only gets you closer to view the arch. I think there is a trail that comes to the arch from the other side because we saw people walking around under it but it’s impossible to access it from this trail.

Such beautiful sand and rock walls

Amazing arches, definitely a must-see

Fun hike but it sure does get more difficult at the end as you scramble up the rocks of the butte. But definitely worth the gorgeous view!

Easy hike just make sure you stay to the left at the fork in the canyon. The swimming hole is really beautiful tucked inside the alcove. Br sure to check out the petroglyphs on the canyon wall when you’re navigating the slanted rocks at the beginning of the trail.

Pretty cool; don’t think this hike is even close to 0.5 miles though, way less! It’s just a loop that cuts off of the Delicate Arch trail and the petroglyphs are awesome to see in person.

Absolutely amazing! This was without a doubt the best hike in Arches, totally worth it!

Gorgeous hike at Arches! We got to the trailhead around 7am and it was pretty packed, but definitely plenty of parking. There’s a giant rock to climb up so the elevation gain can be a kicker but it’s worth it. Great photo opportunity at the end but there will be tons of people in your pictures!

Didn’t get the chance to hike the whole loop since it was too late in the day, but what we did get to was beautiful. It’s located close to the campground where we stayed which was nice. It was well marked and had a gorgeous sunset.

I just spent the last week hiking in Utah and Colorado and this hike was my favorite hike! A must do if you are in Goblin Valley!!

The hike has great views, some decent shade from the afternoon sun and a great ability to explore the area around the trail. Will definitely be doing this trail again in the future.

Stay at Goblin Valley Campgrounds if you can - great spot to camp, with plenty of room, showers and a cool little visitor center with some nice treats to buy.

this is by far the best way to see delicate arch. well worth the moderate effort to see. great for sunset photos, but bring a flashlight or headlamp for the hike out, the trail nearest delicate arch is over rock and can be difficult to follow back in the dark

Very easy short trail, but you wind around until you’re inside various sandy canyons! It is a perfect playground for kids - a giant sandbox. And it has beautiful lines and angles for those interested in photography.

The road to the whale is doable, but don't continue north unless you have a vehicle equipped for rock climbing. The signage on each end is terribly inadequate and needs to be fixed to reflect the conditions of the road. I had to be pulled out by a wrecker at the very north end of the trail near Salt Valley road when the steps got too high to clear.

This is not just a 4x4 trail and I needed to throw out a warning before someone else gets in over their head.

Amazing hike with some absolutely stunning views of canyons/arches. So many contrasting colors. Bring lots of water as it’s hot and dry. Some technical spots that only those with proper shoes and fitness should attempt.

Short sweet and fun scrambling to the top. Good views and easy to follow trail. Cairns everywhere

This hike is very popular, so be ready for lots of people to be around. It was stunning and well worth the climb. Bring hiking boots for the climb because a significant portion of the hike is on a semi-smooth rock face. If you are afraid of heights, there is a stretch at the end of the outward portion right before the arch that has a drop on one side and a wall on the other, but it is a fairly wide path enough for at least two people walking side by side and it is a pretty short distance. The view at the top is amazing.

Great hike that is challenging but doable. As previously noted...start early. We started at 6:15 am and there was already a group at the first Arch. The number of people thinned out quickly after that as the trail picks up from a nice stroll to a bit of scrambling. We did it clockwise and finished in 4.5 hrs. We are both 67.

Saw the sunset here. Very cool!

Got to the Arch at 7am on Labor Day and around 40 people were already there. Nice hike to visit this iconic arch.

What a delightful surprise! This arch is hidden among a couple of fins. Very different setting from the rest of the Arches.

What a great hike for a couple of 60 year olds! Went to Double O then turned back, and was not disappointed! Don’t skip Partition and Navajo. Some scrambling, hiking atop a fin (not for those with a fear of heights!), and opportunities to go down on all fives. Lol. Great experience for confidence building. Yes, I can do this!

Amazing hike! It was fun to see each of the unique arches and we finished the hike with the Primitive trail. Definitely start early and bring plenty of water (more than you would think). We didn’t find the side trail to the Dark Angel worth it with the heat. The primitive trail is a very unique trail climbing up and around large rocks, it kept us on our toes looking for the cairns.

Tougher hike than we expected. It was super windy when we hiked it and when we got to the arch we felt like we were going to blow over. This hike is an absolute MUST when visiting Arches NP!

Great hike to see the sunset on the Delicate Arch. The hike is moderate to difficult due to climb. Pretty wide paths when you are not on the rocks. Loved listening to the “aha” and “OMG” when folks got first glimpse of the arch.

Awesome arches that are easily accessible from parking area.

Even though short in distance, take water. Some parts might concern people with fears of heights (like me) but the Arch is spectacular and the symbol of Utah. Gradients are gentle. Take water.

The end of the hike was beautiful. We went around noon in the end of August and it was really hot. If I could do it again I’d arrive early morning or late afternoon. Definitely worth seeing!

Make sure you bring water

We did this hike with our 4 and 9 year olds. It was a pretty easy hike in terms of the terrain, but the steep climb was tough for them (despite hiking in the mountains frequently). The sign says to bring 2L of water per person, and we definitely needed it! There’s not many shady spots to get out of the sun, so lots of sunscreen too. The hike was well worth it for the amazing view!!

Really awesome hike, we did this with the primitive loops! About half way through the hike, be prepared to scale down or up a wall depending on which way you are coming from.
