Absolutely beautiful hike. My sister and I did this hike, ages 64 and 66. Parts of it are nice and easy and parts if it kicked our butts. While the Joint part of the loop had some difficult areas it was quite short and doable. It’s tough coming back as it feels like it will never end. One of our most beautiful and most strenuous hikes.

Amazing views the whole hike! Pretty easy to follow the trail. It has a lot of terrain changes which is part of the fun. It says it is a 2 hour hike but I would plan more time because of the amazing views. You will want to stop to enjoy the scenery. Note there is a short ladder section to bridge a small gap halfway down the trail. May be difficult for small children and large dogs but other people had dogs and kids on the trail. You can always turn around at this point too. The end of the trail takes you out on “bluff.” There is a sign when you get to the end that says “Trail Ends.” 10/10 would totally recommend!!!

Amazing hike. Beautiful changing views the whole way. Bring lots of water.

Awesome hike. On top of the world at the end.

fabulous day for this hike! Hiked corona and bow tie arch before this, and still made it to the ‘trail end’ sign. awesome views the whole way!

We loved this hike, with its great views and changing scenery. We did the loop in a counterclockwise direction and were glad we did it that way. The slot canyon section was unexpected and amazing. No technically difficult sections. A 1 3/4 hour drive from Moab but well worth it and the roads are good.

Incredibly memorable. I did this in the clockwise direction starting with a super steep descent. The trail was really varies and interesting the whole time and the views are amazing.

Great short hike, wonderful views. The history of the area is very interesting. Great visitor centre

Such a fantastic hike!! Definitely chilly up at the top with wind so pack layers. Hike has ups, downs, climbing, ladders, etc so prepare if elderly or have children. There were a couple times I had trouble following the trail, but it is well marked by others with the rock towers (look for them!) This hike is so beautiful though and unlike anything I’ve seen inside the national parks. Highly recommend!! According to signs at trailhead, it’s 2.2 miles up & back (total of 4.4) versus what’s on this app. Not sure what is correct!

An easy hike with amazing 360 degree views. I recommend adding the Joint and Druid Arch for a perfect day hike.

Excellent loop trail. We did this in around 5 hours (including the Chestler Park loop for about 11 miles).

One of the best in Moab area...a local favorite. Bring lots of water and make sure you go to the very end .... where you will see a little wooden sign saying “The End” Being able to watch the rock climbers is an added benefit. Enjoy!!

THE BEST... do not miss this one. Started at the parking lot and went clockwise. Be sure to do all the lookouts. Views are breathtaking!

I did the upheaval dome then continued on with the sycline loop. Note the warning sign in the photos at the beginning of the trail. That was a fair warning for what’s ahead. The trail wasn’t that hard to follow except for a couple spots, but the rock scramble in the back of the loop was pretty difficult. I added a photo of that area although it’s hard to get an idea of the difficulty here. Definitely not for anyone afraid of heights or lack of mobility and strength to climb. It seemed like it took me about 20 minutes to get through that area. There was only a couple holes with water and wouldn’t want to drink it. One was a good place to soak and cool off.

What a great trail!! Lots of fun. We made it about 3/4 of the way and the kids were tuckered out, so we turned around. Such great views up and down. It was really neat watching the rock climbers at the top of The Cheeto!

Great trail. Well marked. Towers are amazing. Bonus getting to watch rock climbers. Beautiful views throughout.

We had a great hike this afternoon from 1:30-4:30. We didn’t find the“difficult” rating to be as forbidding as expected; all four in our group managed it just fine. The views in all directions are wonderful and the petroglyphs one finds along the high-rocks base (as others have indicated) on the right side just kept getting better and better. We really loved this hike, especially because we had the trail to ourselves much of the time, only encountering a handful of other friendly hikers. The weather was perfect today too—cool, a few clouds, but mostly sunny after morning rain.

The petroglyphs are amazing!! Once you get through the valley, head to the right when the trail forks.

Great views.

Beautiful trail. But not very well marked along the route. Got lost several times and had to backtrack. My fault for looking at rocks.

The BEST hike in the Moab area!! You will not see natural towers like these anywhere!

Dead Horse should be a stop for everyone!

Short but tough ... the views are definitely worth it though!

this hike is awesome in all seasons.
bring water and go early in the summer; bring a walking stick and sunglasses in winter. it is kind of a beastly uphill climb in the first half mile; but worth every second. if I can do it; most anyone can.

once you get up top - there’s views for days and secret treasures to be found all over. secrets of nature & secrets of the ancients ;)

bunnies, lizards; falcons and tons of wildlife.

PLEASE be polite when heading down the residential road to this trailhead

Fantastic hike would highly recommend. A walk with stunning views all day. Trail was well marked with cairns and signposts. Would definitely advise to do the loop counter clockwise as the last part of the loop is more enjoyable. Great lunch spot at the joint trail head. Just heed the advice of others and take plenty of water.

This trail is very scenic but not for the faint hearted. You ride along a cliff Edge climbing some boulders. Did this in a Jeep with 6inch lift and 35 tires. Didn’t need to use lockers. I have a little experience and I was slightly challenged by a few obstacles. We did this trail on our second day of the trip so I had a good feel for the Jeep we rented.

Loved it!

I did this trail counter clockwise starting at 7am. It was fairly easy to navigate. The steep incline the last 1.5 miles was a great workout. The scrambling (since I did counter clockwise) was all downhill. As I’m very comfortable it was not difficult or scary but a. It jarring on the knees for those with injuries.

The signage for the trail is pretty threatening, while I get it, I think they could back off a tiny bit.

All in all, I’d do this hike again but only early as it got hot by 10:30 when I finished .

Very easy and insanely scenic! Took my pup and we both enjoyed all there was to see! Great for all levels and families as long as you keep an eye out for the hoodoos that guide the general direction. I took all the spur trails to the various overlooks- recommend that too
