Truly beautiful hike. My first time on this hike and first time using this app. Unfortunately, didn’t finish the hike. Got halfway through and the. Just couldn’t figure my way out. Not even with the app. Signage (arrows) lacking at critical points - others (not with me) had to turn back as well... Still enjoyed the hike immensely. I hope to get another shot at it!

Fantastic trail! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Arches.

Definitely do the entire loop if possible. We actually found the primitive trail portion to be easier than the main trail because there was less time on the windy, exposed high rocks — also, the primitive trail is very well marked with cairns, so if you keep an eye out for those you won’t get lost.

Fantastic hike! I would call it moderate. Be careful not to lose the trail at the end or you’ll end up walking on a somewhat treacherous path around the arch itself (which we accidentally did.)

We were there earlier this week and loved this hike! It is definitely challenging but worth it. No ice when we went but the rocks were slick. My 12 and 14 year old boys loved it. Definitely hit this trail first as it gets busy! We went around 8:30 and it was fine...a little cold but bearable. We also hit Double Arch, Windows and Balanced Rock. Those were our favorites. Drove by Fiery Furnace overlook(very cool) but cant hike that without a pass..looks pretty scary too!

Did this last October including the primitive loop. The main trail is nice (super easy tourist trail) but adding the primitive loop was sooo fun. It had rained during the early morning so some parts were pretty slippery making it a great little adventure. The scenery changes and color was fabulous.

Absolutely awesome hike. Glad we did the entire hike. We went counter-clockwise and we were glad we did. Not very many people on the primitive trail. Make sure you have good shoes with good grip because you do have to do some scrambling. The views were spectacular and going the direction we did, we were able to avoid a lot of the crowds.

Great hike with spectacular views at the end. This was one of the easiest hikes we did in the Big 5, there is an uphill section and a few large steps up but very accessible. I would consider this an easy hike or a moderate walk.

I'm fat and out of shape... thought I was going to have a heart attack... but, I DIDN'T! I made it to the arch! My husband had both knees replaced 13 months ago and HE made it too!

Scroll down in the reviews for advice on locating the trail head, once found it’s a very well marked trail and not as scary as it’s made out to be whatsoever. Absolutely stunning views!

Absolutely stunning. This is a bucket-list worthy hike. Can’t believe it took me so long to get here when it’s so close to home. Really windy today, no longer any snow/ice along the trail.

I've done this hike 5 or 6 times and it's consistently great, although there are always plenty of other people and their dogs on the trail. The trail is a short scenic drive from downtown Moab, and the hike itself is only a mile each way without too much climbing. It's a beautiful place. The first time I did it I was intimidated by the cable and the ladder, but they are actually pretty easy. The trail is well marked with green paint on the rocks and a few cairns, but there are signs that a lot of people and dogs are wandering off the trail and tearing up the fragile soil. Please don't do that.

Amazing. One of my favorite arches in the area!!! Best part is that it’s outside the park so it’s free to hike there.

easily some of the best views in the usa. The primitive trail can get a touch hard to follow at times but we always found our way back. Pro version with offline trail map is recomended for this trail.

Great view, very easy hike.

Great hike ! Solid difficulty. I know I probably don’t have to say this on this website but please wear appropriate footwear for this hike. There is a lot of scrambling at some parts and a girl got stuck because she was hiking in converse.....

Stunning and a must visit. I did this today. Arrived in the parking lot at 6:30 for a 6:50 sunrise, with plenty of time to spare. The walk to the arch is only 10 minutes. There were about 6 other people there. If going in the winter, bring gloves and warm layers! It was 30 degrees this morning and even with gloves, my fingers were numb by the end of it. This is well worth the visit and braving the cold for beautiful views and photos.

What an amazing hike! Very easy, short distance and enough variance in terrain we didn’t get bored! We brought our 30lb pup, he absolutely loved it and did great. Just one section with a metal rope, we carried him up. All other sections very do able for a dog to go around. Arches were gorgeous!

The trail itself was awesome but just a word of warning... we went just after they got some snow and there were a lot of high risk situations where slipping on ice could’ve ruined the day. Also, if you were hiking clockwise just about in the last mile or so there is a giant what I would call a mini pond with two rock faces on each side. And the only way over is just walking through the ice water. We were with two folks who pulled off some American ninja warrior type move and ran over the side of the rock face. Haha I’m just not a risk taker like that.

What can I say but wow. Went by myself so didn’t stay for sunset. Got a great corona of sun as setting below roof of kiva. Moderate scrambling. Views are other worldly. Lots of payback for the effort!

Did this hike when it was 45 degrees out, probably the best three hours we've spent this week. Take a few minutes and get the required permit, then enjoy getting lost in the 'Furnace'. The trail markers are there, and honestly it was more fun going the wrong way for an hour, then retreating to find the trail later.

Went January 2018. Easy, fun, bring spikes as there is a small patch of ice.
