I did the first 4 miles of the trail. It was really muddy and wet when I went and there were a few ditches to leap over, but it was a good run. The terrain was not level but there weren't any steep hills.

beautiful smaller waterfalls, we saw 3 of them on this trip. lots of friendly people on the trails. we will be coming back to do the primitive with the kids. had a great time it's a good leg workout

very good trail.

Great trail, well maintained with great scenery!

Pretty solid trail with a lot of sights along the way. Very rustic and even offers a lot of primitive trails. Just be careful, the primitive trails offer little to no cell phone service.

Some sections allow horses. Definitely bring trout bug spray for the skeeters. It’s a nice peaceful trail close enough to civilization if you need it.

great little hike 1/4 mile, with an old gristmill from 1857.

I’m so happy this place exists. After moving to very flat Louisiana from Maryland I miss being in a forest with hilly terrain. These trails fulfill all my hiking desires. Lots of variations: steep hills, flat trails, shade, sun, walks along the creek beds, even several areas with steps for those who want the solidarity of a staircase to climb rather than the hoof it on the land next to it. And of course, waterfalls abound. We saw at least four of them, and I think there are more. I saw lots of dogs on this trail as well, especially along the creek beds, and they looked like the happiest dogs on the planet. Worth the drive, I only wish it were closer to New Orleans!

I hiked the trail today . Lots of boulders, rock formations and outcroppings. The last third of the trail goes along the creek. Really good surprise for the area .

Love this trail. Difficult in some areas due to trees down. Great swinging bridge. The first part of the trail is steep but it levels out.

One of my favorite places to hike in MS. There is a pea gravel trail that is nice and wide. Lots of hills so it’s a little tiring but not bad. There are horse/bike trails that go into the woods as well. Very pretty especially in the fall...beware of ticks in the spring!

Trail open

I would rate this trail as moderately easy. Lovely scenery and the trail by the river is gorgeous with spots to relax and take a break from hiking . Very fun place to go and explore . Love taking my pup. She has the best time.

Love it , bring water shoes and hiking shoes!!!

The trail at Bonita Lakes, Meridian MS is one of the most beautiful trials I’ve ever been to in the southeastern USA. Great for power walks

We had a great time! Fun little day trip!

Love to take my dog out here and have a nice picnic by the waterfalls. I’ve done this trail several times and it’s always fun but I would definitely give it more than a “moderate” rating. Some of the trails are very tough/steep. Some waterfalls you will have to climb over many large rocks to get to. I would not recommend this for children if you are trying to do the entire path. But this is the best spot I’ve visited thus far that’s close to Baton Rouge

Always been the best trail to go to in Louisiana. Really wish there were trials as good as this one closer to BR. If you go before summer hits, the waterfalls should have water. If you go in the late summer a lot of them dry up. The trail markers can be hard to find sometimes...typically if you can’t find one that means you went the wrong way haha. Never had problems with wildlife (spiders, snakes) here. My dog loved it

I have a special place in my heart for Dunn's Falls since it is located just a few miles from where I grew up. This park is a wonderful place for family and friends to have a picnic after a short hike to the waterfall and Chunky River. There are also primitive campsites available, and the old water mill can be toured. However, due to lack of funding, the park is only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day for the summer months. Like all Mississippi Pat Harrison water parks, Dunn's Falls is pet friendly. Just make sure you pick up after your dog and have them on a leash or harness because the river currents can be swift and strong. Enjoy a little piece of history!

We drove to walk these trails and had a blast. well maintained and clear path markers. We enjoyed the fact that we could take our dogs on a leash. Beautiful scenery.

Very beautiful trail with some nice rock formations and next to the water.

Trails are not very clearly marked, didn't mean to do this trail in fact, but it turned out to be a great trail. Very clean, also super cool to be able to get to the natural spring. Even got to fill up a bottle.

Great trail want to do it again in fall

Beautiful trail. Well worth the effort. Some markings can be confusing and the trail is mixed in difficulty. The half by the river is easy, while the parts by the outcroppings are much more rigorous with elevation changes and tree roots. Overall lovely hike though.

Nice paved trail, good trail to get your exercise on, shaded in parts and nice scenery.

Easy trail but nice view of the cypress swamp, would recommend if your close by.
