Very well marked, to an impressive extent. One of the most scenic trails in the area. A must do. Not too difficult, just some scrambles

HikingGreat!

There was barely any ice at all on the ground and no snow whatsoever. Hike was more like 9 miles and it was a lot of fun. It's an easy hike with 3-4 small scrambles. The last 2.5 miles are on a gravel road. Great day and empty on a Friday morning

Hiking

Loved it. Hiked on 2d of April, got plenty of parking at 10 am, probably because of arctic cold winds and subfreezing temps. Went counterclockwise. Awesome views and fairly easy. The last mile would be very boring if we didn't meet old buddy porcupine. Will do it again when its warmer and berries are ripe.

Well maintained, beautiful ridge line hike, wet at some points. Went clockwise and glad I did - nice to have the falls in the 2nd half of the hike

HikingMuddyRocky

Most of the snow has melted. Muddy in areas but most of the time you can go around it. Best to wear waterproof shoes / boots for crossing the water right now.

Hiking

A nice long trail. Nothing steep but once past the falls there will be lots of small climbs. Much of the trail is wet with snow or water, but easily navigated. All in all very enjoyable.

3/12 Still Icey in spots, I was ok with just crampons. Half of the trail is flooded from all the melted snow and the river is not cross able by the waterfall right now. Beautiful day :)

HikingGreat!

I love this hike! Hikes it on Sunday 3/7. GREAT views from Sams point and the hike to the falls had fantastic views as well. We used just micro spikes for the hike (lots of ice). I would definitely recommend this hike.

Spikes aren’t enough—must have snow shoes if you want to go past Sam’s Point! The snow drifts were up to my thighs in some places. The snow melt + rain meant that you can’t get to the falls because the little stream you have to cross was more like baby rapids. Insanely beautiful though!

HikingFeeGreat!Snow

Wow!!! This trail is so beautiful. You definitely need microspikes. Snowshoes were available for rent at the visitor center but we’ve never used them before so we were hesitant to try. There were spots going to the falls that snow shoes would have been great but for the most part we did well with just the microspikes. Definitely will recommend gaiters or snow pants. We hiked to the falls then we went back because we weren’t sure how broken down the trail to High Point was and we got started a little late at 11:30 AM, the person at the visitor center warned us that we must be back by 5PM. Highly recommend this trail.

Great trail, as always. Snowshoes are a must for the ground coverage that's up there now.
