It's so pleasant to hear the rushing water while you're walking!

Nice short loop.

These trails are gorgeous but most of these trails are only for mountain biking. If you want to hike here, for your own saftey, check the trail maps.

This is an easy loop for sure. It's great when there's lots of water in Minnehaha creek as the falls are impressive then. I've only seen it then in photos, not in person. You walk to the end where the confluence of the creek meets the mighty Mississippi. The day I was there the flow was pretty low over the falls. But it was a nice walk in the fall and worth doing.

Love this park! lots of paved and grassy trails to use!

Really nice trail. Signs can be confusing for some of us! Different length loops in Park. Pretty consistently hilly compared to most Minneapolis trails, but not too difficult. Nice change!

Great trail for biking, walkers have their own trail. Do this when I’m short on time and want to get an exercise ride in!

This trail system is amazing and beautiful, and they are making more trails all the time!

Very easy going and the view of the water was calming

Kids (5, 8, 13) loved this trail! Not too hard for the little guys, but long enough to wear them out ;) Well-maintained, lots of benches for resting, trash cans along the trail.

One of the best State Parks south of "up north". The overlook on the north side is worth the climb up.

Great trails. Always a great experience!

Took the clockwise 6 mile route from the nature center with our 9 year old and our dog. The route had nice undulations with a couple of steeper ups and downs (with some loose gravel so we had to be careful going down). The falls were a real treat towards the end of the hike. The nature center area has a play area, picnic pavilion and bathrooms. .

There's a lot of differing terrain. From prairie walks to rock-laden trails. It was a peaceful surprise for a park so close to a metro area.

Note that the Holland Lake trail access off Cliff Rd is closed until 11/30/17. Start at Visitors Center and follow sign to Holland Lake. Once you hit trail closed signs follow the loop on your left. Nice hike. Mostly quiet on a beautiful September Sunday until you get near the Visitors Center.

Wonderful trail. In great condition, well marked, nice views and stops on the way for a leisure bike ride. Highly recommend!

Amazing park for being so closed to the twin cities!

Trail up the Bluffs says it was closed, but lots of people walking it. I would not rate it hard either, maybe moderate. Although a lot is on sidewalks the last half, nice walk.

Very nice trail w/ falls, creek along the trail & you hear sound of gushing waters, went on a hot & humid day & saw lots of children dipping in d creek having fun overall it's a good experience w/ family the only thing is it's crowded esp if it's good weather .

Around this time of year (August) the weather gets kinda muggy and the weather is suitable for swimming. Lots and lots of people flood the waterfall and enjoy it's cool flowing water. Not very many people hike the trails so if you're into exploring it's the perfect time. The trails are well maintained. Definitely bring bug repellent while hiking little to no traffic hiking trails during low light periods.

Beautiful views. Wide trail, water fall views worth the trip.

This is one of my favorites to do with or without kids. It's an easy loop with lots of views of the creek and eventually the Mississippi. The only downside is it's often crowded. But worth the walk anyway. Falls are beautiful.

Trail closed at the park, the rest is paved along a road

Wonder day hike. Beautiful falls. Many trails at different levels.

lots of mosquitos due to swamps and river but miles of trails. lots of wildflowers.

I love this trail. You get river shore, waterfalls, a restaurant, historical sites - it literally has everything. If you're tempted to turn around at the gum tree, don't! Only downfall of this park is how popular it is at ALL times of the day and week/weekend.
