Nice way to test your mind, have fun!

Very neat hike, beautiful views the whole time!

Easy trail. Frozen waterfall.

Fantastic trail, but the last half mile is pretty strenuous and terrifying. The views are worth it if you can persist. By far the most challenging but rewarding hike I’ve ever done. It’s longer than advertised here, more like 5 miles. The first 2 miles are a series of switchbacks that get very steep in places and never seem to end. These stop at Scout’s Landing, where many people turn around after taking in the views. The last half mile is mostly climbing. Proper footwear and plenty of water are essential, and do not bring small children or pets. We are 50 and in decent shape but not used to higher elevations, and it took us 4+ hours round trip, which included plenty of stops and a slow pace thanks to my fear of heights. So glad I did this. But it really is every bit as scary as advertised, so don’t take it lightly.

Well worth the effort! Fantastic views and surprised at every turn.

A classic. If your expectations aren't too high, then it's worth it!

Probably the best hike (this and the loop in the north part with several arches). This is a clasic and a must-hike./walk

Did this trail last year in November! Start early as it gets crowded on the chains section! Very strenuous but the most amazing views! Don’t attempt this if you’re scared of heights!

Should be listed as moderate.
Very good hike
Excellent.

Love this trail and a great payoff at the end!

We purchased this app and were so glad to have its GPS for the start of the hike, between slots of Peekaboo and Spooky, and for getting back to main trail after Dry Fork. Footprints/trails criss-cross all over the place between slots. I echo last two reviewer's advice. Wonderful time for our family; the youngest, age 6, ate it up.

I did this hike on Thursday, Nov 8. I started around 9 and it took a total of 3 hours. 9 seems like a great time to start as there weren’t that many people around while going up - definitely got crowded while I was coming back, I did a lot of waiting for lines of people to pass as I was descending.

The hike was very fun. Obviously you have to be smart on this trail but there was no point where I felt like I was in danger. Stay on the correct side of the chains and be sure of your footing.

Don’t make the final push to the summit if you’re having second thoughts. Scouts Lookout has a great view as well.

Don’t feed the chipmunks.

This was a good, well trafficked hike. We completed this hike in early August and it was very hot. Make sure to bring plenty of water.

Did this trail the other day. Started the trail at noon and finished right before 3pm. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a crowd perspective, but there seemed to be more people leaving then going up. This is a tough trail that kicked my butt! I did the observation trail in the AM and this one right after, so I was a little more exhausted for this trail than I would have liked to be. Def worth doing at least once!

More moderate than hard - I’m carrying a fair bit of excess baggage and found this walk ok - defo 5 stars

Go early like I did to avoid major crowds. First shuttle is at 7 a.m. If you consider yourself a hiker you should do this at least once. Not as scary as I was told it's easy to feel safe and stable in my opinion during the part with exposed cliffs and chains to hold on to. Gorgeous views most of the way and the colors were turning with the best view of the hike at the summit. Hope I can go back and do this again sooner then later

This hike did not disappoint! started at 9 am and finished by 430, but we really really took our time. the weather was gorgeous and our hiking boots and smart wool socks were fine for the hike. perhaps bring an extra pair of socks or get neoprene if youre worried. this time of year the water didnt even touch our ankles. be prepared to climb and navigate
the hike is not too difficult but definitely is technical. also, be prepared to work your butt off when Climbing back out.

one of my favorite hikes ever

Another wonderful hike in Zion. This was a long day hike. We felt the warnings that came with this hike might have been overkill. “Route finding required” basically just means there isn’t a paved path; there’s multiple paths braiding both sides of the river. Other than the hike in and out of the valley, the hike is not challenging, but it is still a long day.

The subway was rad, and a main reason for visiting Zion. It’s a must do trip if you can get a permit.

Stunning views of the Salt Lake Valley! Nice, moderate walk on decent trail over an interesting hogback ridge. Clear evidence of mountain biker tracks but I saw none this morning. I saw only four other hikers. Cold breeze. No precipitation. No mud. Many oak trees with nearly all leaves fallen. Best to remember natural markers because there are several unmarked intersections.

I used to look forward to gambling and drinking when I go to Vegas. Now, I look forward to a day trip to Zion to hike Angels Landing and the many other available trails. The views and experience will take your breath away. Not for out-of-shape folks or those who are fearful of heights.

Must do easy hike for anyone, iconic. Great for kids (our 2 year old had no issues). If going for the “window turret photo” just know there is a bit of a scramble involved (see pics).

Hiked this yesterday starting at around 3:30pm. Took us about an hour to get to the base before the chains, going pretty fast bc we wanted to reach the top for sunset. This first part is a cemented path. The second part is all rocks with chains to the peak. Chains were really fun going up if you love the adrenaline rush. One of the best hikes I’ve done in a while. And especially beautiful when the sunset makes the entire mountain glow pink. Make sure to bring headlamps!

An amazing hike. The incline is intense and the switchbacks are gnarly, but it’s all worth it for the amazing view.

Our first hike in Zion didn’t disappoint. Incredible views from the top. I can appreciate the descriptions of how exposed it is, but there are lots of chains to help guide you along.

This was a nice trail. It was colder so there weren’t many people at all. It goes over a wash and up to a fork where you can see a waterfall (no waterfall right now) and the mossy cave. The cave is certainly mossy and there’s an info sign that says it’s covered in icicles in the winter. The trailhead is fairly easy to find. Go east on 12 and around one of the bends is a parking area with a sign and a little shack.

Absolutely amazing views from the arch! Take plenty of water. It was cloudy and 55 degrees and I still went through two bottles. I went early in the morning and was at the arch by 9. There were tons of people heading up on my way back down, so I recommend going early. Well worth the hike. This one is a must do!
