Hardest hike of the summer! But I had the place to myself and the views were worth it! Lots of different terrain and scenery!

Easy walk to view the falls.

This is definitely not hard. It’s moderate. It seems long though and not as pretty as red pine in my opinion. The lake is amazing though and better than red for sure. Without the ending I’d have given a 3 star actually.

Very pretty during the fall with some great views. The trail gets a little rocky and loose but overall it was fun and short.

This was an amazing hike. My 4 & 6 year old even hiked straight up the waterfall to the pool where the main fall lands. Incredible views, very fun, and did this while holding my 2 year old in an ergo. *I wouldn't recommend everyone attempt that, but I feel pretty confident in my hiking abilities.

My brother-in-law did the same with his and there 3 & 5 year old did great too.

First off, this is not 11.1 miles from parking lot after Orson park. We used a fit bit and this is 14 round trip. Maybe 11.1 from Jacobs ladder beginning though. Other thing. I hike hard and a lot. I hiked this one hard and it pushes back. Hardest hike I’ve ever done. Quads will rage unless you pace it slowly most likely. So, I’m 6’ and I weigh 200 lbs. Roughly 14% body fat. I bring this up ONLY to let anyone know who is athletic built that 102 ounces of water was not enough. You need AT LEAST a gallon to be safe. The ladies that came with us were fine with like 80 ounces actually. Anyway, awesome views the whole way. Be cognizant of where trail is on way up also. :)

Fun hike for our girls. More of a quick walk but we enjoyed climbing up higher onto the falls and the beautiful colors of fall. Nice way to get away from people in a wonderful area.

Trail was in great shape, very little mud, and leaves are changing and look great. Long hike, be prepared, and enjoy the views.

In spite of being along the main road a lot of the time, this was a pretty and enjoyable trail! Lots of shade and some sun. Gets really good toward the highest point/furthest in. The river of beautiful and there are a lot of huge rocks. Also, plenty side trails too. The trail continues at the end of this trail, after the bad ass remains of a building, but I didn’t try it...yet!

Great hike with a great reward at the end. The cave lets you cool down before descending.

The pave path most of the way makes this a much less strenuous hike until you get to the trail. There are many rough trails up marked by trail signs. I took the most eastern (up canyon) trail near the picnic table. It seems to be the best trail from what I saw

Wow! What a trail to tackle. Bring a wind jacket because the seasons are changing. I also recommend gloves (I brought gripping garden gloves and they worked great) for warmth and scrambling down the sharp boulders. Be careful at the top... take it easy and know your limits.

Did this hike after having done Timp and Pfiefferhorn - THIS ONE IS MUCH HARDER. The slog up to the top is long and steep. Be prepared to get lost in the boulder fields (we had GPS and a map) and to be frightened by the exposure at the end. The views are incredible and I’m glad to
check it off my bucket list but I’m not sure I’d do this one again.

We loved the hike and the tour! We took our 3 year old and 1 year old and they loved it.

One of my favorite hikes the way up is amazing and the caves are even cooler!

beautiful falls and shaded paved trail to the base of the falls. just pass the falls there is a bridge to the left with port-a-potties..to the right of the bridge is the safest way up the falls. it is dirt narrow trail that then turns to gravel and rock. Very narrow all the way up but not strenuous. Just nerve wracking that you could slip! We took our 12 yr kld daughter and I was so afraid she would slip. people were carrying babies and toddlers and i think they were nuts!! once to the falls it ia gorgeous and fun!

Great trail! It takes as much as it gives. Demanding trail with an incredible view all along the way. A must!!

I go on a hike every Sunday and this has to have been one of the most memorable. The hike is very strenuous and make sure you have some water. You will get tired but keep going, the end lake is way worth it! Pretty steep towards the end.

The trail is hot, very steep, and long. But the payoff is probably the best view I've seen in Utah, and an amazing cirque!!

Much more difficult than anticipated, but I’m not in great shape so maybe it had more to do with my conditioning than it did with the difficulty of the hike. It is very steep.

Short and sweet! I wouldn’t rate this hard at all, there were plenty of young children and families coming and going. Beautiful walk and beautiful falls. We love this!

Beautiful hike! Decently steep going up but feels great when you reach the lake! Water and surrounding scenery is breath-taking. Favorite hike in the Wasatch!

We loved this hike! We went at 9 am when the trail was cool and shaded. It is a bit steep but paved and there are benches and places to catch your breath along the way. We’ve taken small children on this hike and have alternatively let them walk and carried them.

beautiful Trail lots of Pines the lake at the end is just absolutely pristine

Great hike, very tough. The first 2 1/2 miles are insane, but after that portion the trail levels out and goes from very hard to just hard/moderate.
The view from the top is stunning! Cell phone reception the entire way, I recommend downloading the map so you can double check your route near the top if you ever lose sight of the cairns.

This hike was much harder and longer than I expected. There’s not much of a trail when you hit the boulder fields up top (which made for lots of time going up and down trying to figure out where to go). You have to rock climb over big drops to get to the top and it’s sketchy! Bring more water and nutrition than you expect! This hike is not for the faint of heart! Plan on getting lost and being out there longer than expected!
