Great hike. Beautiful scenery and trail is very well maintained.

Beautiful!

Nice easy hike. Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful views. Easy to hike with a few challenging areas.

Pretty great views but my only complaints are that: (1) the trail becomes just impossible to follow after the caves with zero trail markers the whole time that I eventually had to turn around with fear of being lost and (2) the lack of fencing around the caves would make it extremely dangerous to bring small children. That being said, the trail was overall very easy walking, only a few spots where I had to take big step ups/step downs, moments where the trail was slippery, but overall a nice, enjoyable trial! Lots of tree coverage from the sun, cute little streams to enjoy, nice openings where you can enjoy the lake and it’s expanse, and pretty decent teaser views of the caves.

Overall, we had a good time. The falls where great. There’s an additional trail off the main path which leads to the observation tower. Once at the top, we couldn’t see past the tree tops next to the tower. We will definitely be back.

Some awesome views. Be sure to take the side trails for the views and be sure to make it to the last viewpoint before the camp.

The best way to discover the beauty of Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan! If you’re a local or out of town tourist, I recommend this to anyone who would like to run or bike towards the heart of downtown or their first time in Chicago.

Good for a jog or walking!

Beat to do on a weekday as the park gets crowded with beachgoers and tourists, especially around Navy Pier. The flyover at the pier is running way behind schedule, now estimated for sometime in 2019.

I love this loop. I visit it probably a half dozen times a year. Great views, easy hiking, places to camp, accessible restrooms. Weekends are quite busy by the falls.

Wonderful easy trail.

Great trail! High rains resulted in spectacular raging falls. We ended up here because it’s the only trail in the park that allows dogs. Very pleased to have taken the less populated path.

Very disheartening to arrive here and discover that dogs are not allowed on this trail, though your description specifically states otherwise. Lesson learned; go to the source. The only trail in the park that is dog friendly is the Red Granite Falls Trail and that was spectacular and very unpopulated, so the day was not a total loss.

Beaver Trail around the lake to Little Manitou Falls is a gem

Pretty city and lake views! Paved parkway for bikes, rollerblades and strollers. I highly suggest looking into the 5/10k Run for the Zoo- you run this path and also through exhibits!

gorgeous view. it can be crowded. the views of the city are well worth it

This used to be my running trail! Super crowded if the weather is nice, but hit the trail before 7 am and it’s almost entirely yours. Great for running, walking, biking, or rollerblading.

Gorgeous views of the marsh and varied terrain make for an interesting and fun walk. Proximity to Vilas is just an added bonus for the kids!

Great easy walk or run with beautiful views of the isthmus or the northwest shores of Mendota. Lots of little off-shoots to explore with kids, too!

Gorgeous! I walked this trail the week of Thanksgiving 2017, so there was plenty of snow. There was actually a surprising amount of foot traffic considering the weather. The trails were a little treacherous with the ice that formed from the waterfall spray, so I don’t recommend going in the snowy seasons unless you are pretty sure-footed. The snowy falls made for some really beautiful photos though!

A beautiful Wisconsin hike. Great views! Worth a 3-4 hour drive to get to!

Beautiful falls with easy handicap access or a nice loop from the free parking at the top. The falls are especially beautiful when partially frozen in the winter. Note that the loop trail becomes difficult and a bit dangerous at times during the winter due to ice.

We just finished the Wingra Woods portion of the trail with the kids. Pretty easy walking, great scenery, and we even saw some turkeys. I could see the mosquitoes being bad in the summer, but it’s perfect in the fall.

I've wanted to bike along Lake Michigan for years and we finally did it yesterday. It was everything I'd wanted. The path is well-used but not overcrowded. The views are amazing the entire way. We went from north of Irving Park all the way down to the museum campus. Terrific outing.

Great trail, beautiful. Lots of steps, just wish the trail was longer, so go around again. Not a good trail for anyone that can't do stairs.

The view is great but the recent addition of the boardwalk section means that you miss the beauty of the woods trying to stay on the walkway.
