Very nice and beautiful

Stunning Views follow this fairly rigorous hike. Plenty of friendly folks on our way up and down the trail.

Beautiful scenery. Limited parking. Well marked trails.

nice trail lots of rocks. nice view...

I would rate it easy-moderate. Like someone else said it is a mountain. But we love this trail. The views at the top are fantastic. My wife had open heart surgery 2 years ago. We are here for the season so we started our hiking by training on this trail. 4 months later I think she can hike just about anything.

Great views at the summit!! Well marked trail.

The ocean lookout view is incredible. Pretty tiring walk for a new hiker, but still very rewarding. The actual summit doesn't have much of a view, but it's extremely quiet and very serene. There are so many areas to go from the top, so many different trails and paths.

Great hike, lots of fun. Camden is an awesome place

I think this a moderate to hard trail. lots if trails to access different areas of the mountain side. Each has their own level of difficulty. well worth the effort for the views. Gorgeous!

Flying solo with 4 kids and a dog. It isn’t a flat trail by any means but enjoyable. Like others have said it gets steeper towards the top but the views are amazing!

The views are well worth it!

Great views along the way. Pretty steep and rocky at times for kids and older adults. Worth the hike though, highly recommend.

four of us, kids 9 & 10 and a tibetian terrier did the hike in a few hours. a good trail, nice views, moderate traffic, but everyone friendly

Great beautiful hike!!

Nice views from along the trail and the top.

Love this trail system. Well-worn trails, well marked, great for family hiking.

Tons of hiking options here. Great trail network. impressive views!

Favorite hike in region. Great for children. Nice views from top. We often stop to pick blueberries half-way. Nice open areas on top to have lunch.

Excellent hiking trail network. The trail options here seem endless.

Had a great time up the mountain. Cardio on the way up, Strength training on the way down. Love this hike in our back yard.

Great hike on a sunny mid-70's day. My husband and I took the trek up and really enjoyed it. The ground was dry and I hiked in TEVA's with no problems. There were a few quick ascents but not truly hard scrambles. Some gorgeous views with nice cool ocean breezes. We went on a Friday, so only encountered a few other people. great spots to have some lunch at the very top "bald'--just be prepared for sun since it is a "bald'. Can kids do it? My friend with kindergarten through 5th graders went and enjoyed it.

Went up with 3 adults and 5 kids. It was a great hike with a rewarding view at the top. Some steep areas, but if you take your time is no big deal. Plenty of rocks and roots so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. We will definitely be going here again!

as one reviewer said, best views of penobscot bay. we hiked mt battie the day before and its wayyyy better. the north side of the loop shares a trail to mt frolock, so dont let that throw you off. its also less traveled, so a nice walk

We didn't think the views from Mt. Battie summit could be beat until we did this hike. It was fairly short, and we took the out and back which was said to have a more gradual ascent. No scambling required. The view from the top was spectacular. Photos can't do it justice. As we sat on a rock resting and taking it all in an eagle glided by right in front of us.

One of my favorite places to hike. beautiful and quiet with lots of wildlife.

Nice hike. I took the family. It was a little steep for the youngest (he’s eight), but he did well.

This trail was harder than I had expected. It’s pretty steep with lots of rocks and roots on the trail. On my way down (after having to literally jump off boulders) I saw a family wearing flip flops, sneakers or hiking shoes are definitely required here! Besides it being a challenge, this trail is really fun. I went after a few days of rain so there were a variety of mushrooms around. There were also wild blueberries at the top so I enjoyed some of those. It was rainy that morning so the rocks at the top were wet, it was hard to navigate so we took our time.

I hiked this trail with my 3 year old and my 2 year old was in a carrier. My 3 year old loved it! This was his first hike and he did so well. Trail was fairly easy to walk on, the last .9 miles is a gradual incline to the top.

Easy to moderate trail that is well marked with metal blazes, painted rocks and cairns. Beautiful views from the top.

Great hike, took 4 kids and they rocked it. Uphill right from the start but the view is one of the best!

Plenty of parking. Short trail with a great view. Make sure to find the monument for the child who died in the 1800's. The view is spectacular.
