This trail is badass! Mind you, I went off the beaten path a bit, I got my eye set on a huge Butte that over looked the lake, so I found a way up and my dog followed. Sat enjoyed my lunch and enjoyed the stunning view and great weather for this time of year. :) My only downfall, was as I was sitting beside the one tree on top of this rock, I quickly was greeted by the largest hawk I have ever seen! So hiker beware... it's nesting season and Hawks are very territorial

Very easy mild hike, beautiful in the spring and summer, blooming flowers!

Beautiful hike. Very long and very steep. The waterfall was tiny, but overall it was beautiful!!! Will definitely go on this hike again.

Pretty nature hike!

Dogs are ok on leash.

Nice winter hike along a creek.

I first did this 4 months ago and returned to check out this area with some snow cover. Unfortunately it was too warm and the trail was more mud than snow. Hike was still very nice. Solitude, peace and quiet, great forest and meadow make this stroll very pleasant.

great hike with quarter mile markers to encourage the kids along.

Beautiful hike with a variety of landscapes and views. Begin the hike at the trailhead along trail 25. Take the branch up to the photo site for an amazing view of the mtns and river. End the hike along the river on the path. Great hike!

Hiked the loop counterclockwise. We much preferred this direction because it got the straight, steep section out of the way at the beginning. Even this early in the winter spikes were necessary on the section between the cabin and the cedar grove. Great hike -love doing this one every year.

Went in early November, it was wet but very doable. We did the whole loop. This time of year it wasn’t crowded at all, and it was really nice. I’d heard about this hike for years, but never went. I’m so glad that I finally did!!

Beautiful terrain and views. Some parts of the trail could cause a twisted ankle if hiker is not careful.

Great walk on a Monday- saw a moose on one of the little trail detours I took! I wasn’t expecting a trail across the street from a major road to be that wild!!

My husband and I set out to hike a couple of miles, and ended up hiking the entire 8.7 miles. Beautiful day, nice maintained trail. Will definitely go again.

The trail was nice and the scenery beautiful. It was more difficult out than in. We did not like the trail ended in the forest canyon with no destination. The sign said dead end and they are not kidding!

Love this hike! So beautiful!

We loved this area and will definitely be back! There was a mama moose with two young, so we turned around and went the opposite way. Uphill for a lot of it, but fun and beautiful nonetheless.

Loved this hike. Very beautiful. You start off with a slight incline switchback, not to far to climb. It all pays off once you come down to the most beautiful green forest. Lovely fall colors, lots of moss on the rocks and trees. From this point you have the stream along the path for dogs to cool down. This is a must do hike. Now I know why its rated 5star.

The trail is very well maintained. I don’t know that I would classify it as moderate, as most of the Trail is pretty flat. There is a very short portion where you’re walking up a decent grade, but it’s short. I went yesterday and the fall colors are stunning. The creek can be heard running throughout the whole hike.

Steep up and back. Forested all around. Leads to Little Spokane. If you cross road you can join other trails.

Beautiful hike just off from downtown Post Falls. Can explore parts of history, rock climbing, nice several different pathways, and see parts of the Spokane River.

Beautiful hike. Miles of trails, and while dogs aren’t allowed in the park area, all the hiking trails are open to dogs.

Really enjoyed this hike the history made it even more enjoyable, the scenery was fantastic

This trail is about 9.6 starting from the liberty lake parking lot. It’s fairly flat except for about a mile with switch backs leading up to the cabin. The trail is very well groomed. If you’re going for the views, be aware there is really only one good ‘lookout’ type view, and no noticeable submit, just the cabin at the end of the trail. We did this trail early October, and the fall foliage was beautiful but overall I would describe this trail as anticlimactic.

Very beautiful trail which gave me a little of everthing that I want in a hike. First part is moderately upward with a spectacular mountain view. After the descent is thick forest and streams that opened into a wide meadow with also a spectacular view of surrounding mountains. Then I entered into more forest and streams. Definately explore this hike but be sure to wear good shoes and dont go alone. I was leary about bears and cougars being it was such a remote location and was happy to have brought bear spray. Trail paths were in fairly good shape. Will return.

loved this hike! Well maintained and the creativity of using the rocks as seats was amazing to see.

I did this trail with my dog last weekend. It is one of the most beautiful trails in the area...very esthetically pleasing. It isn't a difficult trail and would be great "date" trail or reasonable for bringing the kids. It has rich history as well. The overall area is well cared for. You would also be able to get grandma to certain areas as it starts out paved and then it is reasonable level in the beginning, so enough to allow someone with limited mobility to enjoy the scenery, fresh air, and piece of history.

Beautiful trail, gorgeous small waterfalls. We picked a perfect fall day! So many colors! Not hard at all, just a couple short steep areas.

Beautiful trail with the sound of the stream always nearby. Not being in good shape, the uphill was hard for me. I had my 12 yr. old daughter with me who had no problem. Once we arrived at the overlook, we wished we could have seen the tunnel up close. But there was no trail to the tunnel. Some people must have gone beyond the fence and made their way down to the tunnel, but probably not supposed to. We saw a few people on the trail; 15-20.
