the hike was nice and short with pretty views and it's far from town which makes it more peaceful. signage around the trails we're vague and a little confusing when you get towards the end but easy enough

the views were pretty but driving up the hill to get to the hike almost wasn’t worth it- extremely steep street. all uphill which provides a nice little challenge but the view wasn’t spectacular. good hike but probably wouldn’t do it again.

all uphill, decent view on top of the boulders

It's well worth the trip. The road was not as bad as previously stated. I took my Subaru Legacy up and it made it just fine. I suggest taking hwy. 199 to Selma then a left after Rays market, follow the GPS from there. It is a climb but there are Amazing views the whole time! You can even see Mt. Mclaughlin at the top. A bit windy and lots of shattered glass up there too. We only seen two other hikers that day. So peaceful!

I hiked this Trail on October 7th after a summer filled with smoke that finally left the view was breathtaking. the hike up the hill was not easy it is very Steep in places. it took me 3 hours to get to the top because I had to stop numerous times to rest. one of the best hikes I have done to date.

Nice and somewhat short hike. Go down the dead ends to see the waterfall or stream. Took about 20 mins. Stays cool on hot days.

This trail was tough! It’s pretty much straight up the entire way. Beautiful trail, my dog loved it

I can’t rate the trail-just the navigation to the trailhead, I linked to maps from all trails & ended up on a remote poorly maintained road. I was in an SUV & rode through deep ruts & over dead tree limbs but after 3 mi on this road I encountered a deep washout that I knew was impassable so had to reverse out until I was able to turn around. So, if you want to try this trail, see if there is a safer way in. I gave up & found an easy trail down the road a few miles..
maybe this is why there were no current reviews?

It is a well maintained path with some great views of Ashland and surroundings. I recommend starting at the trailhead off Park Street. We started at the top trailhead and had uphill return.

A really good trail to hike. Moderate is a fair assessment, especially if you pick it up in the first parking lot where the picnic area is.

Just like everyone has said it’s definitely a strenuous hike since your climbing the entire time. Plenty of places to take a break in the shade.

Glass still all over the summit but I did take some back down with me.

We enjoyed the views and variety of trees. The climb was a nice challenge with a smooth ground. It was easy to follow the signs even though there were many trails that crossed over the white rabbit trail. The trail was fairly well shaded which was nice. A nice. quick little hike, it took us 2 hours, 15 min.

Very limited parking on a very steep street.

Enjoyable little trek that was a bit confusing when you walk back out to the Oregon caves and back out the road. The parking lot was FULL of kids. And I thought it was going to be quiet and peaceful...

Loved this trail. I hadn’t hiked in a while, so I had to take a lot of breaks on the way up, but it was worth it. The sign at the trailhead says 3.5 miles to the peak, so it’s 7 miles round trip. It was really foggy on the way up, but started breaking up at the top and we had a great view above the clouds. I will definitely do this again.

Beautiful views.

The views from the top are amazing. This is a strenuous hike so bring lots of water.

Great trail with awesome views but was a little challenging to navigate with so many trails attaching to the main trail. Parts are very uphill!! Quiet trail, well maintained.

Uphill all the way

Tried to summit on 3/11, made it to the false summit before getting into snow shin deep. We decided that was far enough and enjoyed the gorgeous view. No snow in the parking area, only after the first few big switchbacks.

Good views close from downtown Ashland. Close to Alice in Wonderland trail

I love this trail. First few times I got fooled by the false summit--it did seem a little too quick for 6.7 mi. Then went with someone and we kept walking and followed the trail a ways further, then turned back. Made the summit the next time solo. Such nice trail variety--lovely in the fall. Went up today, but the snow's too deep to go past the false summit. Magical in the snow. Bye for now, KP--thanks for helping me remember what's important in this mad world

Although the trail tests endurance as you climb up, it's well maintained. Beautiful forest! Views at the top are incredible and so worth the effort.

Beautiful views and not a ton of people most days. Awesome hike right from Ashland.

This was a very easy trail. I went on it after going through the caves and still wasn’t tired after. It had some nice views. The hardest part was going up the hill near the end, but it wasn’t that bad.

I really liked the steepness of this trail and that most of it was pretty well-shaded. Beautiful views from the top, and lots of butterflies, flowers, and lichen along the way!

This trail is exactly what everyone said it would be: a strenuous but doable hike with amazing views and just a lovely hike to the summit. I was a little disappointed in the summit; there's a lot of broken glass, but the views all around were spectacular. I saw no one on this hike, and mine was the only car parked at the trailhead. I also saw one snake on my the descent about a mile from the trailhead.
