Short steep hike with a very scenic view at the end . Not one of my favorites mainly because the lack of forest.

Great hike but it’s straight up an in a neighborhood witch is kinda off but for a fast one I’d go again took my kids youngest is 4 an she did just fine just rocky right before the falls

Always a great, quick hike. Hot hot hot so bring water.

great for the dogs. Best to do in the morning or evening because it is very exposed.

great hike with a great view of the valley.

did this hike last weekend. never found the falls but still a very fun hike.

Gets your calves burning. Great for dog, please don’t bring your non-dog friendly dogs though and let them off leash. Please just be considerate of people with dogs on leash just trying to get one with nature.

We started early in the morning and was a great start to our day! Great view of city. The smoky haze made the Great Salt Lake barely visible. The couch was comfy ;o)

This is an amazing trail. It’s pretty steep but the views when you reach the top are amazing!!!

It’s cool. Not much of a destination, just a cool hike. Power lines following the trail are the reason for 4/5 stars.

Just a mile from my hotel, I decided to go and try this hike. Not easy but not impossible! The trail was in good condition and the views from the top are worth the effort! Can’t wait to do this again.

This hike was a nice surprise. We couldn't do our originally planned hike because of a forest fire, so we chose this one instead because it was close. The trail started off pretty steep for a short time then transitioned into the dirt road portion... loose rock section, then BAM! Beautiful views! There appears to be many small trails you can explore up to the mine. I would do this hike again just explore the other trails that come off of this trail.

Maybe it’s because I just got home from hiking in the Redwoods but I thought it was an alright hike. Many will disagree, I’m sure. Beautiful view from the top. Really crowded during sunset on a Friday night. No trail signs along the way so it was a bit confusing.

Great little hike if you’re a lone adult with a small army of kids. Short, sweet, and water adventure at the end.

Beautiful lookout.

Great trail that gets narrow at some parts. Nice views of the city at the top.

Great trail for kids. The first set of stairs are rather daunting (for young kids) and you have to pay attention or you miss the trailhead within the neighborhood (it's only about 2 feet wide between two fences so it's easy to miss the first time), but it is a lovely hike. It's shady for most of the hike, even at noon. And having water to play in at the top is always a plus, especially with kids.

45 min to the top, we set out around 6:30pm so plenty of shady spots on the trail. Nice view of the city.

Steep to the top, and covered in families.
Pretty though.

Good hike with Kids.

Quick and easy hike for kids. My two young boys loved it.

It is a pretty steep incline the whole way, but very short. My 8, 5, and 3 year old managed well. The top of the hike near the waterfall is shaded and pretty, but you can hardly call it a waterfall. After a dry winter, the fall is barely a trickle, unlike last year. I would recommend this hike in the spring when there is more water.

Small hike to the falls. Beautiful and lots of shade. Enjoyable.

Nice little hike for late July. Went right in the middle of the day (3pm) with 99 degree temps but wasn’t over exhausted and got a great workout in.

No one at the top and we spent 20 min there. Only saw a few people on the way down.

Great views of the city!

Nice short hike. Perfect for families with kids. Our kids had a lot of fun at the waterfall.

Best view of SLC you will find.

The waterfall is small but beautiful. Took about 20 minutes one way!

Trail has been built over by a new housing development. No access, at least for now.

I had a few issues with this trail. It was decently marked, but not too well. I definitely made some wrong turns and luckily realized before I'd gotten too far. Plus, that waterfall was hardly a trickle and I ate lunch next to it thinking there's no way it's that small. It was. The other views were absolutely stunning and the trek was actually easier than I expected, since we passed several "more difficult" signs. I'll probably come up here again, but not for this trail.

Very pretty. Loved the waterfall. Very easy to find. My 5 year old did great but my 3 year old struggled. He was scared of the slipping rocks and dirt. I’m sure this is common sense for seasoned hikers but I’m not seasoned. In the middle of summer I highly recommend going earlier in the morning or later in the evening. We got pretty hot as we got up there about 11. The waterfall was a great relief though. We did see a rattle snake on the trail. Guess that’s just nature for you...:
