One of my favorite hikes! One great thing is if you don’t want to hike or are unable to do the amount of walking, the view from the parking lot is just as breathtaking!

Absolutely beautiful waterfall at the end. The trail offers its fair share of tree roots and rocks. Definitely make sure you have one adult per child under 5. We took a couple of three year olds that needed to be carried in spots. The five year olds were fine, but reckless abandonment will have consequences with the steep falls off the sides of the trail. This will go down on our list as a reasonably quick in and out to take family and friends to that are in town visiting.

Moderate hike; Falls were beautiful

Beautiful waterfall, very tall and powerful. Easy hike to it except it is a lot of stairs in the beginning. No bathrooms so go before you even drive there. Muddy at some points so don’t wear your brand new shoes as we saw several had on.

Beautiful flaming azaleas on the bald!

Loved the hike, definitely one I would do again! Beautiful view at the end.

beautiful hike with an awesome waterfall

Great, quick hike with accessible falls at the end. High water when we hiked and appreciated waterproof footwear.

Love this trail! A little muddy today, but the falls were flowing beautifully!

We loved this trail. The falls are beautiful. The trail is rocky with roots in several areas. I have a bad knee and was able to do this trail with out issue just had to take it slow in a few areas. We will visit this trail again.

Great trail. If you’re taking kids, I’d suggest having one adult per child under 5yrs to keep one hand on them and/or to carry them. The narrow, rocky terrain isn’t terribly safe for little hikers.

Beautiful waterfall! The trail is short and starts out with a lot of stairs but not too bad. dog friendly as well.

We first hiked up to Clingmans Dome and from there to Andrews Bald. About 5 miles round trip. We were already tired by the time we got to the Andrews Bald trailhead from coming down all the rocks along the trail then going up up up then down then up. Lol Next time I would just start at the Andrews bald trail head from the parking lot. The scenery at the top of Andrews bald was just as beautiful as the one from the parking lot or from Clingmans Dome. But it was a beautiful hike.

This is a great trail. We had limited time, so this hike fit. The trail is easy to reach, not hard to find parking, and was less traveled on the trail. GPS clocked 1.9 miles, but it is rocky and rooted, and the leaves hid a lot of that very well. I tend to agree that this is more moderate because of the terrain and narrow foot path. I took my 2 year old and it was pretty slow going.

love this trail, good morning workout , fun

Nice short hike to lovely falls. Not as secluded as we had hoped.

One of the best. Waterfall more impressive than Abrams—especially after rainfall. Little to no other hikers. Great hidden gem.

Awesome hike, beautiful falls

Very short hike, but steep going up the steps. Every person we saw on the way up said it was worth the climb and it absolutely was. I haven’t seen very many falls to have much to compare it to, but it did have that...WOW this is so awesome effect on us both. We even saw some people on their way back down, who had made it to the falls in flip flops, which I would not recommend, as it can be slick on the rocks after the steps part of the climb. I’d go again if in the area.

We loved this short little hike... It was not so crowded. We easily navigated the roots and rocks. Well worth the effort!

Great views. Trail repairs very nice.

We had trouble finding the trailhead at first, because the sign just says "Falls," with no name or mileage number. It's right by a little parking lot and gift shop, though, which was great so that we could all use the restroom. The trail is easy in the sense that it's short, but is narrow, steep, and rooty, with some precarious edges, making it difficult if you get dizzy or out of breath easily. Otherwise, it's great fun and the kids loved it, and the falls were beautiful!!

Fairly easy! Did this as a warm up before doing Charlie’s bunion! There are other trails attached to this as well. Didn’t go past spruce falls myself though.

I would also rate this moderate. Granted I had a 30 lb toddler on my back. But there were many precarious rooted sections/ muddy slick sections in the way. More on the moderate side of easy in my book.

Very pretty! Short, and beautiful. I loved the fall leaves!

Easy hike up to the Falls with a breathtaking view. It is mostly steps which makes it possible for all levels. Bench area midway for rest.

the most beautiful falls in a short hike. steep- but the steps are very helpful. past the stairs can be muddy and lots of roots and rocks, but with a walking stick it can help you navigate and is very simple. a wonderful bridge is at the top to see the sight. the view never gets old.

Beautiful and quick hike, a little steep and rocky in spots. Definitely a hike to take friends new to the area.

We loved it! Hiked it with our 6 y/o twins. Maybe a little rough for them, but overall a great hike!

Nice short hike to a beautiful waterfall. The steps are well built with hand rails but I recommend a walking stick for added stability.
