My favorite waterfall in Oregon. it's truly magical. The only downfall is the hike being so short.

Highly recommend. We went in January and there was about a foot n a half of snow. Well marked trail with blue diamonds, and lots of solitude. Blue diamonds on the trees made the trail very easy to follow and the incline/decline wasn’t bad either. Took about 3 hours on snowshoes. The falls were beautiful but we couldn’t find safe access to the lower trail. Silk worth it!

Not alot to see but I enjoy it

Loved it but not as easy as it’s cited. The down can be tricky when wet and the back up is tough going unless you’re in good shape. Wanted to take my mom but there’s no way she could have done it so for that reason I wouldn’t call it an “easy” hike.

Amazing views! Uphill all the way there but downhill all the way back. There are historical signs to read and bench’s to rest on... even a picnic table.

Snowshoed this trail today. Since it has been several days since the last snowfall, there were patches of melted snow. It was very scenic for most part but almost lost at last quarter of the trail. Since the lake is frozen, we couldn't tell where the trail is that we had to make a detour just to make sure we are avoiding the frozen water. We ended up at the campground parking but we somehow was able to get back on the trail.

Omg! So utterly beautiful! Worth every step through the muddy trail!

Easy trail. Beautiful falls!!! It started dumping snow on the way out. Roads were still ok, but would suggest a car with 4WD or chains.

Great for sunrises over Crystal Bay and for when family visits. Interesting historical information makes it a more engaging trail.

Awesome, short hike with great views. There was a lot of packed snow on the route, but it is paved the whole way. Wasn't crowded when we went, and there was plenty of parking along the street (before the gate).

Brought tire chains in Dec this time, but never used them. Still some snow on the road. we hiked with four year olds and a dog and it was great. it is an easy trail to the falls, but difficult to climb up to the falls, which is optional. Definitely recommended. Paired with spirit falls was a 5-6 hour round trip from eugene for us.

I love this trail with little ones! the trailhead is unmarked and hard to find. It is like 0.5 mile from the bathroom intersection, stay to the right at the intersection. parking is right off the road and the trailhead is just to the right of a big tree. waterfall was flowing in Dec and the trail is wet and muddy. Definitely recommended! From Eugene, plan 5-6 hours to do both moon and spirit falls with climbing around time.

Did the loop on snowshoes the other day. Nice on snowshoes too.

Good walk for children. It is uphill, but doable for our 7- and 4-year olds. The view of Lake Tahoe once you are up the hill is spectacular. It is paved all the way.

Did this short lovely hike today with my dog and 2 year old. My 2 year old needed help in spots because it was steep and muddy therefore slippery in spots but enjoyable still. He loved splashing in the water by the falls.

This is an awesome spot on the Oregon coast. We saw harlequin ducks, oyster catchers, blue heron, harbor seals and a spouting whale! A must see when close to Newport.

Totally amazing and worth the view! We got to watch whales and see seals and seal pups! Then there was a beautifull sunset to end it all! Great Staff working there as well!

Not much hiking but plenty of relaxing. Good vibes (and not many people on a sunny November day). Will be back in the summer to swim.

Great easy hike four our family. We have four kids ranging from age 11 years old to five months old. Everybody loved it. Trail walks right along the side of the lake. Beautiful views of lake and mt lassen

Really cool lighthouse, cool beach with big rocks, and fun hike up the hill to get 360 views of the coastline.

We headed out early today to hike the “Trifecta!”
And we were not disappointed!!
We read a lot of the reviews for all of the Falls!
Very EASY to get to if you use Google Directions!
We also left the navigation on. All trails are one after the other! And there is a sign that states the mileage to Moon and Pinard after Spirit...Granted there is not a “distinctive sign” for Spirit Falls but if you track to mileage the trail sign is easy to spot! We hiked Spirit Falls first. Then drove to Moon Falls (big sign when you arrive) and the drove up to Pinard! (Good signage for this trail too) Falls were beautiful!!
Doing all three trails was a nice workout and peaceful hike! This is the perfect time of year to hike these trails when it’s dry!
We headed back home going towards Cottage Grove instead of taking the 5847 back to Hwy 58. Much nicer route home as we live in Eugene.
Awesome day!

Beautiful place for watching whales, surfers, birds, and maybe the best sunsets on the Oregon Coast. I’d highly recommend visiting at low tide so you can go to the beach on the north side of the point and go into the Punchbowl. Fun tide pools and gorgeous views!

WOW, WOW WOW!!! Short but sweet.

Loved this little short hike. It was a great introduction to my mom’s first visit to Tahoe region. The kids did great as it was a short one. Highly recommend it!

There’s really no trail here, but that doesn’t matter. It’s fabulously beautiful, and a cool place to watch surfers and SUPers from a high vantage point.
