Love this trail!! I did about 4 or 5 sunrise hikes here in July and I have nothing but good things to say about the trail and the view at the top!
There is a couple very very rocky sections but the majority is a nice dirt trail

Nice trail to take from the walk in campsites. Easy to hike and some cool scenery a long the way, but some sections are close to the road with some confusing signage occasionally. The observation tower is nice at the top, but the peak is going to pretty much always be crowded. Always nice to have ice cream or lunch at the top though :)

beautiful trail, I wish it was slightly better marked but fantastically kept. bugs are out and it was swampy but fun

Nice incline, but be aware that this does not lead all the way to the summit—that’s another few miles after the end of this trail.

The Park is nice, well kept. The trees are fairly dense so on a hot/humid day like today, it provides some good cover. The M-M trail cuts through the park, and there's nothing tricky whatsoever about the trail.. no climbs, just a couple areas where the inclines could be described as steep. There's some old ruins up near the north end with a fire tower that is blocked off by a fence... someone of course pulled the fence back so the tower can be accessed... not that I would ever do that; I assume it's some great views. I'd summarize this as a good place for someone not looking for anything too consistently strenuous, but provides some work. Access to the park is $5 for MA residents; $10 for non-residents. You can access the M-M Trail outside the park off 141 - there's no loop however there are a series of trails you can drift around a little and arrive back to the M-M trail and get back to your vehicle... this is worth a 30-40 minute drive to get to if you want to stretch it out a bit... enjoy!

Very nice hike and a good cardio workout. The view on the top was breathtaking!

Loved this trail! Beautiful 360 view on a treeless summit upon Mt Watatic. The hike up was steep to the mountain with roots, rocks, and pine straw. The second summit down was the best view. You could see everything, even Boston!

This is a great trail for running, hiking, and provides the chance to see some wildlife. Some of the trails which branch off of the north side of the indicated loop are pretty unkempt, and often dead-end after becoming pretty rocky/less ideal for hiking and running.

Did a stretch of the NET Metacomet-monadnock heading north from the west cherry street entrance next to revolver range. Right off the bat while I was fumbling to set up the map on my phone a black bear was headed down the trail. He spooked and ran off! Also saw some Ravens, vultures and some type of finch that was black, red and white...all the animals pose when you don't bring your camera. 8.5 miles later I was at route 5 in east Hampton where there are many other trails including the manahan rail trail but no continuance of white blazed mm trail....and that's because of the Connecticut river! You have to either walk the main drag and over the bridge or drive...was kind of bummed that it's disjointed suddenly. But it was a good hike. I was shot so I thought it would be easier to walk the main drag back to the vehicle...not recommended...little shoulder and big trucks. Happy trails.

Nice hike, close to Boston. It was surprisingly buggy for June, but nothing a little bug spray couldn't fix.

nice loop hike with decent views. can add additional miles by following trails to NH state line and beyond

Awesome view on the ledges. Don’t forget to stop at the memorial for a B 17 flight crew and service members that perished in a crash in 1946

So Fun! Easy but a nice challenge too! Great place to hang out and slow down, enjoy the view!

Pretty crowded even around dinner time on Sunday. BUGGY! Views are decent, lots of gorgeous ferns.

Hiked May 26, lovely wildflowers along the trails-- lady slippers, trillium, yellow blue bead lilies, starflowers - nice view from summit, bit muddy in spring

Great short hike that gives you enough of an elevation gain to consider it your exercise for the day. On the weekends it can get very crowded, but during the weekdays you can enjoy the beautiful view virtually alone. I suggest staying to the left when you encounter the first fork in the trail. The trail marker says to go right for the summit, but they both get you to the same place and I prefer the trail to the left.

Short hike with an AMAZING view! Trail markings on the way down were a little confusing.

Started at Hailey’s farm and got to the summit in about 2 hours on hopper. Had my dog with me and he had no issues, even with it being the first hike of the year with that incline. Top was extremely foggy and couldn’t see the top of the monument when standing directly below it. Still a great morning hike. Over look trail, through the campground and down on Hailey’s trail keeps you from tracing the same path down.

Wow, what a beautiful trail! This is a hard packed dirt trail that leads you through lush forest along the Wachusett Reservoir. If you are looking for quiet and serenity this is the trail. In the areas you don’t see the waters you definitely hear their peaceful flow. The first mile or so is busy with runners and families walking, but the latter portion is very quiet. I would not recommend children on bikes after the first mile and a half, it’s too difficult. The elevation gain in the last two miles is great! Also port-a-potties at both parking lots as well as picnic tables and benches.

Great, short, moderate hike (about 1.5 - 2 hours) that's well marked and easy to follow.

was well marked and had a descent elevation. the summit seemed very spread out and unfortunately view points were too crowded with climbers today. got visited by a hawk which made up for the lack of views.

The views of easthampton are spectacular!

Amazing Place...great hike. but bring mosquito spray.....alot of them. lol

I really love this park. There is a pond and lots of wildlife/farm animals. Ive seen snakes and horses and there are cows and goats at the farm. There is also an ice cream stand open seasonally which is great.

I couldn't find the trial head, likley because I didn't have this app then. I parked on bay st. and walked up a long dirt road that had no tresspassing signs every 15 feet, trail head was on the right a half mile up. it was a really great short hike,I saw tons of snakes!

I loved this trail, it wasn’t too busy and dogs are allowed off leash.

Awesome view points. Worth it

Hard trail but well worth it. I took my dog and she did fine. Be prepared for some steeps climbs. Views are amazing
