Plenty of parking. Only 2.4 miles, but a very good work out View from summit was blocked by trees, but the view from slightly below summit was spectacular.

I am overweight and just starting to hike again. The hike to Screw Auger Falls was perfect for me as it was challenging but not overwhelming. As I get in better shape I look forward to doing some of the longer hikes in this beautiful area of Maine.

Fairly easy trail hike even with a family of little kids, once you get to the ocean it is great to be isolated from the crowds

Beautiful views! Small rock path, and very easy to follow. It was a perfect location for our little one, and very safe. All 3 of us had a blast. Very popular little walk and ran across a lot of dog walkers, so the area is very dog friendly. Parking was slightly confusing if you’ve never been but definitely worth the confusion. Highly recommend for a short but fun adventure

Good trail. Well marked. Lovely views of the falls. Although rated hard, I didn’t find this trail to be too tough. I was able to complete it in 5ish hours. I also saw a moose on KI Works road on the way to the parking area.

Very peaceful. Hiked over 6 miles by starting at the Head of Tide Park. Most of the trail was well marked but there were a few places that the trail was hard to follow. Bugs were minimal here

Beautiful hike with tons to see! Trail in some areas are difficult to follow so highly recommend a map, but hands down would do this over and over again! Don’t forget to bring a pair of water shoes!

Loved every second of this hike! Breathtaking views! I highly recommend visiting!

Watch out for ticks! I had barely walked half a mile before I noticed them all over my ankles from the tall grass in the middle of the trail. I got out and took my sneakers off to find about 10 ticks crawling all over them. I’ve done a lot of hiking all around this area and have never had that happen so I would recommend a different trail nearby.

Vary peaceful

We loved the marsh, Mountain View of the marsh meeting the ocean and the quiet beach at the end. There was a hatching of mosquitoes right before we came, but the man at the entrance post was prepared with repellent to share. It mostly kept them off us, but they started flying into our car as soon as we opened the doors. They were a small inconvenience for all the beauty we were able to enjoy. There are no bathrooms so find a stop to go before getting there because we had to go back. Overall, we enjoyed the hike.

Wonderful little introduction to hiking for kiddos. All levels can do this. We bring a blanket and picnic and spend the day on the beach. Our daughter loves this!

Not much of a hike.. And the quarry a butt Crooker construction so you are hearing trucks go by... not peaceful ..

Wonderful place to see the Maine Coast and forest! Great for kids, dogs, and non experienced hikers.

I love this hike, totally New England. Love easy access to streams along the hike that you can just post up and have lunch next too. Would do again and again

I was trying to find the Cathance River Trail and my GPS took us to the Quarry Loop instead , it was a nice walk I liked the Marsh and a lot of cool rocks and black Mica

A beautiful hike, came in from Greenville side, there’s a check point and it was 18$ for my friend and I , very easy to find trail head due to all the signs leading to it,however, even with a map we thought we’d be confident at first and did not need one,we ended up getting side tracked on a trail for 2 miles up to Lyford pond camps (whoops) realized, looked at map and returned to where the trail head was, encountered snakes rabbits birds and little roads ,the rim trail was rough Terrian in my personal opinion especially with how long it is ,was kind of disappointed that the signs were not better displayed ,I turned back at lower falls because none of the signs said screw augar but when I looked up online and map it said screw augar was after lower falls , so definitely bring a map if it’s your first time. We were concerned about if we would have to cross the river at some point but I never had that problem on this hike from the way I went in.Absolutely insane views and gorgeous land ,will be back again

Beautiful spot, but lots of recent damage to trail from motorbikes. Tried side trails and found more of same. Hauled my butt out of there with my dog when I heard motorbikes nearby on the trails.

I have hiked through Millbrook a few times now and I really enjoy the peacefulness of it. I prefer the northern trailhead because it follows the water and is more scenic but for a good work out I usually do the Allen Knight trailhead which has more elevation but isn’t as scenic

Very easy to follow. Trail is well marked. Very scenic

Amazing hike, beautiful falls this map however doesn’t show the cut off trail that goes around the backside of the mountain. This it’s good to know, it’s easier ground to walk the final stretch when you’re tired.

My favorite trail close to Portland. Watch out for ticks and mosquitoes during late spring and summer.

Spectacular hike of amazing waterfalls in virtually untouched country. I’m a hiker, and this is one of my favorite hikes. Trail is well blazed. It is classified as difficult, but mostly a moderate trail. The only downside is the gnats.

This was more like a walking path along the ocean cliffs. My 3 year old did this with ease and loved sitting on the small beach area at the start of the trail to have a lunch break. There are several other trails near by on the island that are also worth the hike.

Easy trail...many moms with strollers. The reward of the beach at the end makes it well worth it. The summit view is pretty, but not the most awesome "wow" view for a summit. Overall, well worth the hike.

Beautiful view! I would say this is quite a hike through the woods. Saw a bunch of wildlife on the way. Will sure be back soon!

There is a great parking area with a large map showing all of the surrounding trails. The trail was very well marked. Almost the entire trail is alongside the water with several beautiful waterfalls to admire. I would highly recommend hiking this trail if you’re also a waterfall lover but not so much if you are looking for mountaintop views. Heads up... there were a lot of ticks.
We found 5-6 ticks on our yorkie by the time we made it back to the car and he was wearing tick medicine. Even still I would definitely revisit this trail again.

Lovely trail along the rushing river
