Great trail for views and young families. Wide short trail to the water.

on Wonderland Trail

Nice walk. Easy for all ages and great for dogs!

This is one of my favorite things to do in Acadia National Park but again I missed the sunset or sunrise from here on this trip. The view from the summit of Cadillac Mountain and from anywhere along this summit loop is absolutely memorable. One thing I did differently about this trip is to bring along a nice 70-300mm zoom lens so I was able to bring far away subject closer on this latest trip.

great way to see the world beneath you..breathtaking. the trail itself is easy.

Great easy trail with good ocean and cove scenery. Good for our kids, ages 8 and 5. Nice little beach area on cove on East side of trail.

veiw beautiful.

I've done this loop three times now and will gladly do it again. On our last trip, we drove up to the summit and did this easy scenic summit loop. The view is the best in Acadia National Park. I can see far and wide, easily into Bar Harbor and all the ships nearby and the ocean beyond. You'll see spectacular Eagle Lake and Bubble Pond and part of Jordan Pond as well.

I only wish I had a binocular on my last trip. I had a decent zoom lens on my camera, a Nikon 18-200mm lens and that was what I used to see distant subjects. My wife and daughter took a relaxing nap after our picnic. It was an absolutely memorable experience.

Great trail to begin the week. Amazing views of the water.

Closed for maintenance!

Cool views from the edges of this trail. With the mist rolling in it felt like a different planet. Definitely a must-visit for visitors to Acadia.

Great views.

Was an easy walk and a break from the rest of our hike we connected multiple trails and this one provided a nice break.

Quick easy trail, awesome insights to the area history on the posters along trail.

Spectacular views. Easy walk & fun to jump from rock to rock!

Very scenic with great views of our he region.

Easy walk with a great rocky shoreline.

We did not hike the entire 24.5 miles, but this is as majestic a place as any.

This is an easy path with incredible views.

Beautiful views but VERY crowded during daylight hours (and sunrise/sunset)

Beautiful trail with sites that rival the busier areas of the park.

Easy trail with absolutely beautiful and amazing views!

This is a great trail down to an isolated rocky beach. My dogs and older mother loved it.

Hiking Tip: great morning walk to beat the crowds at Otter Cliffs portion of Ocean Path. We find Ocean Path to usually be its best in the morning - most tourists move together along the Loop Rd each morning, filling the same parking lots as they go. However, you can skip this parade of cars and get to one of the best areas at southern tip, Otter Cliffs, while parking lots are still available. Instead of taking the Loop Rd, take Rte 3 out of Bar Harbor, turning Left onto Otter Cliff Rd, then either park at the Fabbri parking lot or the 2 lots directly at Otter Cliffs. You can then make a 1.5mile loop around the most dramatic part of Ocean Path above Otter Cliffs, then around to excellent views over Otter Cove, ending near the Fabbri parking lot - all before the masses arrive at the southern point. And you completely miss the crawl of cars entering the Loop Rd guard stations before Beehive Trailhead and Sand Beach.

rock climbing

Great with kids. Lots of rocks to climb.

I loved this trail. It offers so much to see, easy figure 8 trail that all could do. The views by the water are amazing. You can climb rocks by the water or just sit and take in the views. This was a wonderful surprise after the disappointing lighthouse.

Highly populated, walked it to go to the big sights.
