It was muddy because of rain but the trail was unbelievably, beautiful! The water fall amazing
Nice easy trail. Not too muddy even though it was actively raining.
Easy ...beautiful...along the river the whole way and the ending is amazing! Gorgeous falls and water!
Easy, awesome hike to gorgeous falls. The whole route is very pretty and follows closely alongside the creek, crossing it in a few places on rocks and logs. Went with a 5 yo and a baby in carrier — it was a bit muddy and slippery in places, but manageable!
Beautiful, easy trail. Completed in no time at all, but very thankful we wore the right footwear since you do have to kinda step in the stream at some points. Definitely recommend!
Very pleasent and quiet. Pretty muddy in a few places, definitely need waterproof footwear this time of year, fairly easy hike by bershire standards. Nice bit of cardio to the summit trail, pretty views this time of year but you won't be able to see the surrounding mountains from the peak when there's full foliage.
Fantastic and fairly easy trail, some slippery spots, some spots where you traverse downed tree trunks across water. Interesting and rare fauna along the walk. Waterfall at the end is glorious and picturesque. One of the mossiest and best smelling walks I’ve ever taken. A must in the North Adams area
amazing view right up close of the falls. trail not well marked but obvious.
Nice hike for beginners or for young children. Just keep an eye out for wandering kids close to the falls. After two days of rain, the Falls were roaring.
Started at the Mason Street entrance. Beautiful views from the meadow. Then a short, steep climb to the summit which did not have any views but was a good workout. Then plenty of crisscrossing trails so you can hike a little or a lot. A couple of wet areas on the way in but the rest was pretty dry, considering the season. Very pleasant.
Nice little falls but thought it was not marked great but easy enough to follow. Beautiful falls and stream area. Not too many people even on a Saturday. A few picnic tables for a nice lunch. Would go back.
This is a great easy trail that should be doable for just about everyone. The trail follows along a crystal clear stream the entire way to the falls. The falls themselves are beautiful, and overall are well worth the minimal effort required to get to them.
Nice short trail along a gorgeous creek. The falls were beautiful and it was pretty quiet today. Very few people on the trail and we spent a good deal of time alone at the falls.
if you're looking for a great adventure in the woods find another trail. but if you like waterfalls this is definitely a quick easy stop to see a nice waterfall. you got to park in a parking lot of a school. then you're going to walk over a bridge and start traveling a few streets for a few blocks. until you get to the dead end that's where you start walking in the woods along the creek. very simple follow the creek until you reach the falls. until you cross the bridge over the creek that's where you begin to feel you're doing a little hike through the woods. if you're looking for a quick stop to add to a day trip this is perfect. if you have children this would be awesome for them. if you're looking just to get outside to do something quick and easy I would suggest this trail and doing Wakconah falls together. this would be something nice to do with a friend and after you're done with the two trails have an late lunch or early dinner together.
Easy trail for adults and kids
The trail is great for beginners or an easy stroll. My almost 3 year old did it with no assistance. There were beautiful pines, rock faces, swamps and open fields. Trees were across the trail at several spots but hey that’s Mother Nature for you.
Falls were really stunning. Trail is easy wide 3/4 mile uphill walk from the parking lot along a pretty river. Quite a few people even late (5:00) on a chilly Saturday.
Super quick, really nice pay off at the waterfall. A little muddy at the beginning of the CT parking lot side, but just stay to forest side for a drier bypass.
Not too bad, bit strep and rocky. Fairly good flow of people for a cool Saturday. The falls were pretty.
great value for a short hike, it was muddy , some places would need to step into the stream
A bit mucky in the beginning but dry the rest of the way! Ice has melted and the falls were roaring.
Muddy in many spots, but still a great hike. Falls were roaring!
Most of the signage and trail blazes looked brand new, like they’d just been replaced which made navigation pretty easy, but I would still recommend taking a picture of the map at the trailhead as it others have suggested. The road in was muddy but the trails were in decent shape. There are a lot of nice loop options.
No ice!! Perfect hike. Not too muddy. The falls was worth the walk!
